Victor Cuts Ties With Janine & Audrey & Struggles To Deal With His Infidelity. Yvonne Surprises Her Husband. Audrey Finds It Difficult To Deal With Her “Father”’s Absence. Victor Returns For Audrey’s Sake.
Victor rides the bus home to find the little feast his wife had prepared for their 10th anniversary. He stares down at his wife silently and she wakes up from the couch to ask why he couldn’t be reached before. Victor claims he had had network problems and when he apologizes for coming so late, Yvonne merely tells him that the most important thing is that he’s back home safe and sound.
She then surprises him with the gift she had gotten for him – their wedding wings retrieved from the pawnshop. Yvonne pulls out a paper to read out their written marriage vows and she gets quite emotional with it all and so does Victor who hugs her in misery.
Later in bed, he turns down his wife’s advances and reflects on the aftermath of his affair with Janine. He then sends her a text message saying that he’s sorry. The next morning, Yvonne gives her husband the royal treatment to celebrate their anniversary.
Victor covers up his misery with the claim of not feeling well and ignores a phone call from Janine. In the meantime, Janine questions her daughter about how she had used her phone to call her “father” earlier. Audrey initially denies it but eventually comes clean and apologizes and her mother actually lectures her on how bad it is to lie.
Carla comes over to give her friend a reality check. Victor meets up with a buddy of his to confide in him about how he had cheated on his wife and the scoundrel actually commends and encourages him since he’s also a cheater and takes delight in doing the same to his wife.
While Janine has a talk with Carla about the incident with Victor, Yvonne also talks with a friend of hers about the change she’s noticed in her husband. When she’s told that Victor might have another woman, Yvonne refuses to believe it as she’s quite confident that her husband løvës her and would never cheat on her.
Janine is brooding by herself at home when Victor shows up to have a talk with her. They both agree to forget what happened between them last night. Victor decides to stop being Audrey’s pretend father so things don’t get worse and Janine accepts so. She however urges him not to tell her daughter the truth for now since she’s still young and won’t be able to take it.
As Yvonne has dinner with her son at her parents’ house, Victor proceeds to see Audrey and tells her that he has to go far away for work. The little girl cries her heart out and has him promise to return soon. Mr. Aguiluz hangs out with his daughter and asks if she’s really happy with her husband.
Yvonne replies in the affirmative. Later that night, she returns home with Marcus, only to be wowed by a surprise Victor had prepared for her. Yvonne gets all emotional, even as her husband reaffirms his løvë for her.Victor tells his wife of his resignation from the flower farm and considers going back to his teaching job.
In the meantime, Janine reflects on some sweet moments she had witnessed between her daughter and supposed father. In school, Audrey is bullied yet again by her mates who ridicule her for not having a father to bring her to Father and Child Day. A fight breaks out and Audrey pushes one of the little brats before a teacher hurries over to restore order.
A moment later, Janine is called into the principal’s office to address the situation. Meanwhile, Victor applies for a job at a craft store with samples of his work and he’s hired immediately. Janine has an encounter with the parents of the brats who had bullied Audrey earlier.
At home, Victor tells his wife of the good news and when she suggests that they have a daughter, he recalls some moments with Audrey. Carla tells Janine about the worker who has been harassing a fellow coworker and herself and in no time, Janine has a talk with the pervert. She gives him his monthly salary and separation pay and decides to fire him.
The scoundrel throws a fit and mocks Janine with her affair with Victor and Carla comes to chase him off as he roughs her up. The next day, as Janine brings her daughter to school for the father-child activity, Victor is working at the craft shop when his phone rings to notify him of the reminder he had set for Audrey’s Father and Child Day.
While Audrey gives her heartfelt speech on stage, displaying a photo of her supposed father, Victor shows up and listens and observes. He then heads to the stage to reunite with her, taking Janine by surprise with his presence. Audrey emotionally introduces Victor to the audience as her father and they’re given a quite warm reception. As they take their seats and get all cozy with each other, Janine looks on silently.
