“It’s not about what you wear, Marga. It’s how you carry yourself. The nicest clothes do absolutely nothing to hide an ugly personality. I’m not insulting you. I’m describing you. Does it hurt?”
Alvin was excited with the new lawyer his brother had been able to acquire. He was however put off to learn that he had sought help from Daniela. Alvin threatened to rat out Danny girl if he went to her again. Cassie informed her mother about the charity ball Maxwell was organizing.
Romina gave her permission to attend, reminding her about the deal they had made regarding her and Kristoff’s relationship. Marga asked Mikoy to be her partner for the Maxwell ball since Kristoff had turned her down.
“What am I?” Mikoy shot. “A spare tyre? I’m sure there are other guys in your school who’d look better with you.”
“I already know you. You’re harmless, so stop playing hard to get.”
“I’m really sorry, Marga. I already have a partner.”
“Who?”
“Cassie. She asked me today.”
“Then drop her.”
“If you’ve forgotten, I’m a man of my words, who never breaks his promises.”
“Even if it’s for me? You’d rather be with Cassie?”
“Why not? Bye.” Mikoy turned back to thrust his face toward Marga, smiling good-naturedly. “Hurry up next time, alright?”
Romina gave her daughter the pepper spray Leon had given her for self-defense since Kristoff didn’t take her home anymore. Mina then asked Bonita to get a list of former Camila investors so they could try to persuade them into investing into their company. Gwen wasn’t sure of what she had to wear to the ball, so Cassie showed her some samples from the internet.
Puppy servant came over and asked to see them. Just then, a call came in from Kristoff and Cassie got all jittery as she snatched back her phone from Roxy. She eventually admitted that she had gotten back together with Kristoff. She asked Gwen and puppy servant to keep it a secret since she hadn’t informed her mom yet. Puppy servant had her b*tch face on.
Daniela was in high spirits after she had been chosen as the top entrepreneur of the year. She was soon pissed off to learn that Romina was planning to meet up with her investors. She ordered Savvy to set up a meeting with them first thing in the morning. Cassie tried on some regular dress she had chosen for the ball.
Neil then came over to announce that he had found the perfect dress for her. Cassie was grateful but worried about the cost of the custom dress, and Romina told her that the tailor had given her a discount. Mikoy had made up his mind not to attend the ball since he didn’t have anything to wear. Gino and Myrna asked him to leave it to them.
Cassie thanked her mother and uncle for coming through for her. Meanwhile, Marga was ranting on because her ‘servants’ hadn’t finished the designs. She then had a call from her puppy servant, confirming her suspicion about Cassie and Kristoff being back together.
As Romina was waiting for the investors to show, Daniela was lobbying them into investing into her company while discrediting Romina’s in the process. Romina received a call from the intellectual property office, telling her about the complaint Camila had filed against her company for using her name since the ‘Romina’ brand name was still under Camila.
Romina later went with Leon to meet Bernard. She told him about the situation and Bernard promised to look into it. Daniela came over and threatened to fire him if he went ahead to help Romina.
“Expect my resignation on your table within this day,” Bernard said, much to Romina’s disbelief. “I quit.”
A moment later, Romina cornered Mr. Ocampo, one of the investors and tried talking him into investing in her company. The man told her to settle the case Daniela had filed against her latest by tonight before they could reach any agreement. Bernard went to seek the counsel of a colleague regarding the ‘Romina’ trademark infringement case.
“What did you have in mind?” the man asked.
“I want Romina to gain legal rights to her tradename.”
“From what I know, we allow companies with the same brand name, provided the products and services they offer are different.”
Bernard later informed Romina and Leon that they could still use the ‘Romina’ brand name since their products differed from that of Camila. Romina thanked Bernard for his help and asked Neil to inform the investors that they had already fixed the problem.
The Maxwell ball had began. Marga approached Kristoff and asked how she looked. Kristoff ignored her and stared straight ahead in awe, gawking as Cassie sauntered in. Everyone else joined in. Only Mini-Daniela hadn’t noticed her presence yet.
“Beautiful,” Kristoff breathed.
“Thank you,” Marga said, so clueless. “You look dashing as well.”
Cassie came over, and LJ and Fatima mentioned how beautiful she looked. Marga looked on dumbly. “I almost didn’t recognize you,” Kristoff finally spoke up. He couldn’t keep his eyes off Cassie. “Are you an angel on earth? Because you look so heavenly.”
Mini-Daniela ranted on. “Heavenly? Her gown is so cheap and her make-up crappy. I bet I can remove all her beauty with a wet towel.”
“It’s not about what you wear, Marga” Cassie countered. “It’s how you carry yourself. The nicest clothes do absolutely nothing to hide an ugly personality.”
“Are you insulting me?”
“I’m not insulting you. I’m describing you. Does it hurt?”
A moment later, the lights started flickering on and off. Partners trooped onto the dancefloor, and Cassie watched as they danced. Kristoff came over and asked her for a dance, and Cassie was more than happy to oblige. Mini-Daniela stared enviously as Cassie and Kristoff danced. She was left all alone after the dates of the Mean Squad also came to take them to the dancefloor.
YMost loyal lapdog/Puppy servant came over and Mini-Daniela sent her off to go and steal Cassie’s pepper spray so they could use it to get rid of her for good. Savannah told Daniela about the loophole regarding the ‘Romina’ brand name. Danny girl wasn’t pleased.
She called Hector and told him to do something to stop Romina from meeting with her investors. Mikoy sauntered into the event ground in his fashionable suit and confronted Marga in his usual jovial, comical manner. Marga stared dumbly.
“You can admire me later after the party,” Mikoy teased. “First, let’s dance.”
Cassie scolded Kristoff for staring at her so much. Kristoff apologized, saying that he couldn’t help getting lost in her eyes. “Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?”
Cassie laughed. “At least once.”
“Thank you for coming. You’ve made me so happy. I hope this night never ends.”
“Don’t worry, Tope. Once our exams are over, I’ll tell mamma the truth. And hopefully, she’ll let us get back together again.”
Puppy servant/ most loyal lapdog stole Cassie’s pepper spray as she danced. She signaled her puppet master. Leon talked Romina and Bernard into waiting inside for the investors so they didn’t catch a cold. Meanwhile, a goon nearby called to inform Hector of their arrival. Hector charged them not to get caught. Puppy master dragged her most loyal lapdog to the back of the interior building.
Mikoy walked in on them as they argued about their plan. A moment later after he left, the electrical system sparked with fire. The chaperones tried to keep the students from panicking. Cassie hurried to the back and ran into Mini-Daniela who showed her where the candles were.
Cassie noticed the fire spreading as soon as she entered the back at the end of the hallway. She sounded the alarm as she rejoined the others. There was chaos and pandemonium as everyone was fleeing for safety. A sudden flare of fire startled Marga, dropping her on her abominable ass as the others kept scrambling for safety. (Hope you die from your own evil, baby girl. Please, just die already. Please?)
Meanwhile, Cassie was choking on the smoke inhalation as she struggled to escape. Mikoy helped Marga out as the fire service arrived on the premises. (Damn it?) Kristoff was in search of Cassie, who had almost succumbed to the smoke. Gwen, LJ and Fatima worried about Cassie still being inside.
The goons knocked out Mr. Ocampo’s driver and subdued him. Leon noticed the disturbance and hurried over. He gave the scumbags a pretty good ‘ol ass whooping, and they fled like dogs with their tails between their legs as Romina and Bernard ran over. Kristoff finally found Cassie and carried her out to safety.
Mini-Daniela who had still refused to die was staring as the paramedics attended to her. Mr. Ocampo was wondering who would want to do him harm since he wasn’t at odds with anyone. As he favored his side where he had suffered a blow, he thanked Leon for saving his life.
“Mr. Ocampo…” Romina began.
“I want to invest in your company,” Mr. Ocampo declared, much to Mina’s surprise. “It’s easy to find business partners. What’s hard is finding people who are truly worthy of trust.”
“Thank you so much, sir. Thank you for trusting me.” Romina then received a call about the fire at Maxwell. The goons told Hector about their failure and how they had gotten their sorry asses kicked by a friend of Romina. A moment later, Hector received a call from a Maxwell chaperone, telling him about the fire at the school. Hector called Daniela to tell her about it. The episode ended as Daniela hurried out of her office.
