“Go back to your wife. Yeah. I saw the picture of the woman you keep in your car. You even bring her flowers. She’s your wife, isn’t she? Or maybe your girlfriend. What are you planning to do with me? Help me! Help! What are we doing here?! Are you going to bury me alive?! Are you going to k!ll me?! Leon, let me go!”
Kristoff was sitting by himself down the school hallway when Marga came over and started pestering him. He left for the gym since he had left something behind. Mini-Daniela then went through his bag and compared the note she had received earlier to a leaflet in Kristoff’s book. It was identical. Marga was all smiles. (And so clueless).
At the autoshop, Carlos made known his suspicion about Daniela escaping the law. Kulas tried to convince him not to go ahead with the divorce but Carlos wouldn’t hear any of it. Marga was eagerly waiting for Kristoff at the school’s entrance. Mikoy came over to inform her that Kristoff had already left. She then started with her usual trash-talking.
“You’re not worried about anything?” Mikoy asked. “Not even your mother?”
“Nope. She wasn’t put in danger because of Kristoff. He helped us.”
Mikoy was downcast as Marga went on saying that she had proof of Kristoff helping them. Carlos received a phone call from a nurse, telling him about his wife being at the hospital. Romina and Bernard lectured Cassie and Kristoff about them being too deep in their relationship. Bernard suggested that they refrain from seeing each other for a while.
Romina then received a phone call from Carlos, asking her to come to the hospital because Daniela was there. Alvin worried that Daniela would rat them out. Hector said he trusted Daniela, and Alvin reminded him of how manipulative she was. Carlos brought the police into Daniela’s hospital room so she wouldn’t be able to escape again.
Daniela started spouting nonsense, even to the point of accusing Romina of having her kidñäpped. Back at the restaurant, Cassie suggested to Kristoff that they try talking to their parents again. Kristoff told her that their parents’ decision were final.
“But I’m not giving up on you, Cassie,” Kristoff. “No matter what dad says.”
“I won’t give up on you either.”
Kristoff took hold of Cassie’s hand. “Then let’s make a promise. No one should tear us apart.”
“I promise.”
After Romina came off the phone, she bid Bernard and Kristoff goodbye before leaving with Cassie. Mikoy told Gino about how he had warned/helped Marga earlier, adding that Marga thought it was Kristoff who had done so. Meanwhile, Jepoy dropped off Cassie home but she lingered outside.
Back at the hospital, Daniela was still going on with her accusations. Romina stormed in, and a battle of words ensued. Daniela denied having had anything to do with Cassie’s accident, claiming that she had really been kidñäpped. She showed them the bruises on her wrists.
Romina was incredulous. “Daniela, you’d actually hurt yourself just to get away from the police?”
“You can’t be serious, Romina. I would never endanger my life, let alone an innocent baby’s.”
Carlos looked confused. “What do you mean?”
“I’m pregnant, Carlos. And I almost lost our baby, all because of that woman,” Danny girl added, giving Romina a look.
The doctor came in to confirm Daniela’s pregnancy. (Rhian Bonifacio/Angel Locsin stood in the doorway, a bouquet of flowers in her hand. She glanced at the officers, and off she went) Romina was shocked to learn of Daniela’s pregnancy as the doctor said that she needed rest. Danny girl was determined to charge Romina with kidñappiñg.
Leon found Cassie sitting by herself outside the house. He asked what the matter was, and Cassie told him about the incident which had occured in school. Cassie lamented about how unfair it was that Bernard and her mother had asked her and Kristoff to break up for a while.
Leon lectured Cassie and asked her to do what their parents said since they could get hurt if they rushed things. Mini-Daniela was excited to learn that she was going to have a sibling. Carlos wasn’t happy with the news though. Some officers came over and invited Daniela to the station for questioning. The Mondragons discussed the latest lies Daniela was spreading.
Bernard told them not to worry because Daniela didn’t have enough evidence to make a case against Romina. Mina was more concerned about how she could make Daniela pay for what happened to Cassie, especially now that she was using her pregnancy to avoid jail time again. Bernard offered to help her exposed the truth about Daniela.
At the precinct, Daniela and her attorney debunked the statements and evidence the police had on Daniela. Danny girl claimed that she was innocent of the charges filed against her. She spouted some crap and proceeded to file a case against Romina for kidñappiñg. Luck wasn’t on her side though. Roxanne, Marga’s most loyal lapdog came up to her and told her that Trina and the others had already done what she had paid them to do.
Mini-Daniela was glad that her cash hadn’t been wasted. (Ewww. You two deserve each other, so why don’t your parents just tie the knot so you can be sisters on paper already? I wonder what Cassie saw in you in the first place, most loyal lapdog). The Mean Squad looked on, wondering why Marga was talking to that ‘charity case’. Mikoy came over to give them a piece of his mind. Felix mentioned how his boss seemed awfully quiet today.
“I think it has something to do with miss beautiful.”
“How can you tell?” Leon asked.
“I knew it. My hunch was right. C’mon, boss. Open up to me. You can trust me. Tell me.”
“I noticed she’s been avoiding me, like she’s uncomfortable.”
Felix suggested that he give her some space. Leon argued that he was just helping her, and Felix asked him not to get too involved since he didn’t like complications, of which Romina’s life was full of. Cassie had a talk with Kristoff and asked him to listen to what their parents had said though she knew he was against it, adding that they had to prove to them that their relationship didn’t affect their studies. “Nothing will change,” Cassie said. “We’ll just see each other less often, I guess. We just have to be patient.”
Kristoff sighed. “That’s true. I agree. We need to focus on our studies, and I also need to focus on basketball. Let’s prove to them that we deserve to be with each other.”
“Thank you for your understanding. We’ll get through this. Together.”
Bernard and Romina discussed about the talk with their kids the other day. Bernard thanked her for trusting Kristoff despite what had happened. Mina said the boy had done the right thing, just not in the right way. After talking to someone on the phone, Bernard told Romina about Daniela posting bail. Mina was in disbelief, determined to make Danny girl pay for what she had done to her daughter.
Some Camila employees came over, asking for her help and Bernard went to take care of the issue at the station instead. At the precinct, Savannah reminded Daniela about the problems at Camila and the failure of her plan to sue Romina for kidñappiñg.Danny girl was determined to find a solution to their problems. Some reporters stood outside, calling out to her for an interview.
A diabolic idea popped into her mind. The Mean Squad mocked Marga with her closeness to her most loyal lapdog. Mini-Daniela was appalled that the girls thought she was friends with Roxanne. She told them that clueless Roxy was just her pawn and she was using her to make Cassie suffer. Mikoy asked Cassie if she had really broken up with Kristoff, and she told him that they were just laying low for now, adding that they just had to prove to their parents that their relationship didn’t affect their studies.
Some teachers came over and insisted on paying for yesterday’s order even though those sardines had been damaged since things weren’t easy for her. Cassie eventually accepted the money and promised to give them a discount on their next order. Romina had a talk with the workers and assured to help them.
Neil hurried in and turned on the TV, only for them to see Daniela announcing that Romina was the one behind her kidñappiñg. Mina was in disbelief as Danny girl went on spouting more nonsense. Outside the precinct, Daniela was still going on with her sob story. She turned to hug her bratty lapdog, smirking in triumph. Meanwhile, back home, Romina was very upset that Daniela was trying to turn things into her favor by lying to everyone.
“What are you going to do now?” Bonita asked.
“I’ll put an end to Daniela’s little charade,” Mina hissed. The workers offered their support.
Felix and Leon watched Daniela’s interview. Leon was confident that Danny girl was only spouting lies since he had been with Romina the entire time. Felix was worried that his boss trusted Romina so blindly when they had just met recently, and Leon told him that Mina wasn’t a bad person. The other guys ran over. “Hey, boss! It’s miss beautiful!..”
Romina stood outside Camila with the employees. A guard refused her entry, which only riled up the workers all the more. Mina calmed them down and pleaded to be allowed in so she could talk to Daniela. The guard then told her that Danny girl hadn’t come to work ever since she had been kidñäpped. Mina decided to wait for her anyway.
During the drive to Camila, Savannah told Daniela about Romina being outside the office along with the factory workers. Danny girl was glad to hear that, revealing that she had agreed to the interview earlier so she could make Romina mad and take her down before she could fight back.
Romina tried to keep the workers in control as Daniela’s car pulled over. Before she could go and confront her, someone pulled her away from the crowd. Meanwhile, Daniela shooed the workers away, disappointed that Romina wasn’t present. Despite Romina’s protests, Leon pulled her along into his car.
He told her not to let her anger get the best of her. Mina argued that she was just trying to help the employees fight for their rights, and Leon pointed out that her plan was bound to backfire in the end since she would be the one to look bad if she initiated the confrontation.
“It’s better we go home,” Leon advised.
Romina gave him a look. “You’re the one who should go home,” she spat. “Go back to your wife.”
Leon stopped her as she tried getting out of the car. “My wife?”
“Yeah. I saw the picture of the woman you keep in your car. You even bring her flowers. She’s your wife, isn’t she? Or maybe your girlfriend.”
“I don’t have a wife or girlfriend.”
“Let me go.”
Leon stopped her again from getting out. He resorted to fastening her seat belt in such comical manner. The Mangubat brothers watched Daniela’s interview at the casino. Hector was glad that Daniela hadn’t ratted them out but Alvin was certain that Danny girl had something up her sleeves since she hadn’t taken advantage of the opportunity to get away from them.
Hector was still pinning over Daniela. Alvin wanted his brother to be happy with the right woman since he had provided for him and seen him through school. He brought up Roxanne’s mother who had left him after she had found out that his business was illegal.
“Daniela’s different,” Hector said. “She doesn’t have a conscience. She’d never leave me.”
“Well, if she does do something stüpïd, make sure we don’t get involved. I don’t wanna go back to jail.”
Back outside the office, Daniela was trash-talking Romina as the factory workers protested. Danny girl resorted to pretence to get away from the crowd. Kulas was excited about having another grandchild. He tried talking Carlos out of his plan of divorcing his wife. Myrna scolded her husband and asked Carlos to reconsider his decision for his family’s sake. “That’s right,” Kulas cut in. “Drill that in.” He then turned to Myrna. “So you can still say something sensible from time to time, huh, Myrna?”
Hector was very upset to learn of Daniela’s pregnancy, ranting on about how she had allowed her ‘useless husband’ impregnate her when he didn’t even take care of her. Alvin asked him to forget about Daniela since there were better women out there. “I won’t let anyone make a føøl out of me again,” Hector hissed. “Daniela chose to cross the wrong person. She will pay for everything she’s done to me.”
Mikoy had a talk with Marga’s most loyal lapdog. He asked her to stop being Mini-Daniela’s ‘puppy servant’ in making things difficult for Cassie. The clueless girl spouted some crap and Mikoy gave her a pretty much needed scolding. Mini-Daniela invited Kristoff over for a hangout at the coffee shop, but Kristoff turned her down.
Marga guessed that his moodiness was on account of Cassie, and Kristoff eventually revealed how their parents had asked them to take things slow. Mini-Daniela was surprised for a second. She then took advantage of the situation with her fake fake concern, and Kristoff bought into it like a brilliant scientist with serious brain damage.
“What are you planning to do with me?” Romina asked as Leon pulled over at a cemetery. “Help me!” she yelled as she got out of the car.
Leon grabbed her hand. “Come with me,” he said, dragging her along.
“Help!” Mina yelled as she tried resisting. “What are we doing here? Are you going to bury me alive? Are you going to k!ll me? Leon, let me go!”
“I won’t hurt you, Romina.”
“Then what are we doing here?”
“I’m not a bad person.”
“If that’s true, then why did you bring me to a cemetery?”
“To visit my wife’s grave.”
Romina glanced at a tombstone bearing the name ‘Elaine Herrara’. “Your wife is dead?”
“My daughter too. They’re the ones I bring flowers to. I visit them every other day.”
Romina stared at the ‘Catherine Herrara’ tombstone for a while. “They died at the same time?”
Leon nodded silently as Mina looked on in disbelief. He flashed back to the day he had lost his family. “They died in that accident. I couldn’t save them.”
Cassie came out of the school with Mikoy to find Kristoff waiting nearby. Mikoy suggested that she go talk to him but Cassie said they had already had an agreement. “It wouldn’t hurt if you talk to him for a bit,” Mikoy coaxed. “C’mon. He’s waiting for you.”
Cassie looked to see Kristoff approaching. And who would intrude on the scene? That’s right. The glorified queen of brattiness, and all things rotten, Marga Bartolome. Cassie looked on as Mini-Daniela cornered Kristoff and started talking her usual crap, feigning concern.
The brat even insinuated that Cassie was having an affair with Mikoy when they had just broken up. Kristoff said Cassie wasn’t like that and he trusted her. As he looked on, Marga spouted some more nonsense as Cassie and Mikoy conversed.
