“The kidñäppers aren’t after money. But Daniela doesn’t have any other enemies I know. I’m starting to think that my hunch is right. She wasn’t kidñäpped. Someone helped her escape. There’s only one person I know she could have turned to for help – Hector.”
Cassie took the stand and asked the students not to vote for either Marga or Nadya since they were both lying and manipulating them, adding that what they wanted was the power to outwit each other. Meanwhile, Mikoy secretly played the unedited version of Cassie’s conversation with Nadya for everyone to hear. A flashback was shown of how Cassie and Mikoy had gotten hold of the raw audio.
“I’ll never allow any of you to use me for your petty fights,” Cassie declared. “But good luck anyway. May the lesser evil win.”
The voting exercise for the students president was ongoing. Kristoff apologized to Cassie for his behavior earlier, and Cassie also apologized for not hearing him out. The reconciliation was sealed with a hug as LJ, Fatima and Mikoy looked on gladly.
Marga had gone way ahead of Nadya in the polling results. Nadya conceded defeat and congratulated a gloating Marga. Mini-Daniela’s celebratory mood ceased as Cassie and Kristoff joined the other students in the hall. Cassie was regretful that they had reported Daniela to the police since it had led to her abduction.
Leon told her that they had done the right thing. Cassie thanked him for all his help, pleading with him not to risk his life for her anymore since they weren’t even related, adding that she wouldn’t be able to forgive herself if something bad happened to him because of her.
Leon told her that he had grown fond of her because she reminded him of his daughter who had perished in an accident along with his wife. The chief of police informed Romina and Bernard that the kidñäppers could have a different motive for taking Daniela if they didn’t contact the Bartolomes to ask for a ransom.
Of all the people furious with Daniela, Mina wondered which of them was capable of kidñappiñg. Daniela woke up to find herself in uncharted territory. She started banging on the door since it was locked tight, demanding to be let out. The door opened and Daniela gawked in disbelief. Yep. It was none other than her knight in shining armor – Hector.
“You kidnapped me?” Danny girl followed up with a slap.
Hector was dazed for a second. “Hey, I didn’t kidñäp you. I rescued you.”
“Rescued?”
“That’s right. I heard the police were arresting you, so I helped you escape before they could lock you up.”
Daniela ranted on, determined to go home. Hector stopped her and suggested that they flee together. Danny girl was appalled at the idea, insistent on going back home. Hector reminded her that she would be thrown back in jail the moment she showed her face.
Meanwhile, Marga arrived home to learn about her mother’s kidñappiñg. Hector entered Daniela’s room and found her sound asleep. He sat by her side and stared. “I know how tough life in prison is, and I won’t let you go through that, Daniela. I’ll protect you whether you like it or not.”
Alvin sent Roxy off to bed since she had been waiting so long for her father who had still not shown up. He then called his brother to ask for his whereabouts. Hector claimed that he had lots of things to take care of at the casino. The Mondragons discussed Daniela’s kidñappiñg, wondering why there had still not been any calls for a ransom.
Neil insinuated that Daniela hadn’t really been kidñäpped and was just trying to run away from her crimes. Leon offered to give Romina a ride since she was heading to the precinct. Romina was hesitant, noticing the bouquet of flowers in Leon’s car, thinking that he had somewhere else to be.
Leon however insisted. Alvin dropped off Roxanne in school. Mini-Daniela confronted Roxy, ranting on and on, demanding to know of Cassie’s whereabouts. The insufferable brat was bullheaded in accusing Romina and Cassie of her mother’s situation.
Alvin later called his brother to ask of the situation but Hector claimed he knew nothing. Cassie was pondering over the possibility of Daniela being in trouble or escaping from the charges against her. Mikoy hoped, for Marga’s sake, that Danny girl was alright wherever she was.
“Mamma’s already helping the police,” Cassie said. “And so is Carlos. Sooner or later, they’ll locate her.”
“Your mom’s really awesome,” Mikoy commented. “She’s ready to help even though she doesn’t have to.”
“That’s how she is.”
Mini-Daniela stormed over with her loyal lapdog, going after Cassie while spouting a bunch of nonsense. Cassie broke free as Mini-Daniela went on accusing Romina of her mother’s kidñappiñg.
“No one has any right to talk about my mom like she’s a criminal,” Cassie hissed, following up with a much needed slap.
Mikoy came between them but Mini-Daniela just went on with her nonsense, and her most loyal lapdog supported her. “I’ve finally found an ally to prove that your mother isn’t a saint at all.”
“Why would my mother kidñäp the person who almost k!lled me?” Cassie shot back. “What’s the point of kidñappiñg Daniela if we can have her answering to the law? One more thing, Marga. My mother has proven countless times to everyone that she isn’t a mürdërer. How about Daniela? Can she say the same about herself?”
“Mommy knows the truth, so once she’s found, you better be ready. Because you will pay for everything you’ve accused her of. You and your lying mother.” Bratty daughter walked off and her most loyal lapdog followed.
At the autoshop, the Bartolomes found out about Daniela’s kidñappiñg. Romina arrived at the precinct with Leon to meet Carlos and Bernard. There hadn’t been any updates from Daniela or the kidñäppers yet. “The kidñäppers aren’t after money. But Daniela doesn’t have any other enemies I know. I’m starting to think that my hunch is right. She wasn’t kidnapped. Someone helped her escape.”
“Then where did she go?” Bernard wondered out loud. “Who could have helped her escape from the police?”
“There’s only one person I know she could have turned to for help – Hector.”
The next morning at the safehouse, Daniela woke up to find a feast prepared for her. She was appalled to learn that Hector had watched her while she slept last night. Danny girl was unimpressed and determined to go back home. “Daniela, no one’s stopping you,” Hector said. “If you want to leave, then leave. The door’s wide open. If you wanna go to jail, go ahead.”
Danny girl was indecisive, and Hector smirked in triumph. Leon beat Carlos to it in offering Romina a ride to Hector’s place. Carlos hid his keys and asked to ride with them in the same car, claiming that his was being worked on at the autoshop.
Kristoff was fretting over Cassie during lunch, suggesting that they report Marga to the principal for her glorious b*tchiness. Mikoy put in a good word for Mini-Daniela and Kristoff decided to have a talk with her to say away from Cassie since she had nothing to do with Romina and Daniela’s feud.
Alvin went to the casino to ask of his brother’s whereabouts. The guys claimed that they had no idea. He then confronted Glenn and coaxed the info out of the bigger man. Carlos was arguing with Leon over the route he had taken. Taking his shamefulness to the next level, Carlos started bringing up the times he used to pick Romina up after work. Mina was disgusted and in no mood for reminiscing. “Why did he used to pick you up?” Leon asked.
“Because we…”
“Because Romina is my ex-girlfriend,” Carlos cut in, much to Mina’s dismay.
“Oh, so you didn’t end up together,” Leon said in mock admiration.
Mini-Daniela’s most loyal lapdog came up to her and offered her services in getting even with Cassie since her mother was accusing her father as well. Since Roxy had the heart of a chicken and a brain the size of a mustard seed, she suggested to Marga that they use Trina to get back at Cassie. Daniela was upset that Hector was following her around ‘like a dog’. She talked him into giving her his phone.
Alvin came upon the scene, appalled that his brother had been hiding Daniela. He snatched the phone from Daniela as she tried to call her daughter. Leon took a detour onto the route Carlos had suggested earlier. Carlos was still going on with his nonsense and stüpidity. Romina turned to stare at him, unimpressed. The car came to a sudden stop and Carlos was almost thrown out of his seat. He glared at Leon.
“Is there a problem?” Romina asked.
“The engine overheated,” Leon replied. “We need to stop here for a while.”
Alvin was still arguing with his brother’s decision of hiding Daniela at the safehouse. Hector was however determined to save Danny girl from the hard life in jail. Daniela offered to leave to save them all the trouble but Alvin demanded that she stay put. Carlos was arguing with Romina over them being stranded because they had taken a ride in Leon’s ‘piece of junk’. Mina said they had to be thankful Leon had given them a ride since he had said earlier that his car wasn’t working. She went to check on Leon after giving Carlos a piece of her mind.
“It’s a good thing you broke up,” Leon said out of the blue.
“What?”
“He doesn’t deserve you.”
Romina glanced at Carlos. “Just ignore him.”
“I was planning to. Do you still have feelings for him?”
Romina was flustered. “Do I really need to answer that question? Leon, we should be focused on finding Daniela.”
Back at the safehouse, Daniela was still complaining bitterly. She tried leaving but Alvin stopped her. Hector told her to relax while he talked to his brother. Alvin reminded him that a lot of people would get affected if he was caught and thrown into jail for hiding Daniela. Danny girl intruded again and Hector told her that his brother was right and they wouldn’t be going out anymore since the police were still after her.
Mini-Daniela met up with Trina and paid her off to keep giving Cassie a hard time in school until Romina let her mom come back home. She spouted more nonsense and promised to give her a bonus if she did a good job. Hector left Alvin to keep an eye on Daniela so he could go and see his daughter since she had been worried about her.
Daniela eyed Alvin’s phone which was on charge. Mini-Daniela pestered Kristoff, pleading with him to help her find her mother.Kristoff told her that missing her mom wasn’t enough for her to go and hurt Cassie. The queen of brattiness told him that that was the only thing she could do to find her mom. She spouted some more crap as Mikoy spied.
Daniela grabbed Alvin’s phone and placed a call. Before it could be answered, Alvin came over and snatched the phone from her. Danny girl started making a scene, demanding that he give her back the phone so she could talk to her daughter. A pissed off Alvin barely restrained himself from punching some sense into her.
“Do it,” Daniel goaded. “Hit me, Alvin. Do you really think I’m afraid of you?”
A goon came over. “Boss, is there a problem?”
“Get a rope,” Alvin said to him.
Daniela ranted on and tried snatching back the phone, all to no avail. “In case you’ve forgotten, this isn’t your mansion,” Alvin taunted. “And I’m not one of your servants.” The goon came back with a rope and Alvin tied up Daniela’s hands as the goon held her in place.
“You’ll pay for this, Alvin,” Danny girl hissed. “I will not let you humiliate me like this.”
Alvin gave her a look. “I don’t know what spell you cast on my brother, but before you can hurt him, you need to k!ll me first.”
