“How could you hurt my daughter? You wanted to k!ll both of us so you’d get all of Robert’s money? I know the truth, Daniela. You manipulated me so I’d give you everything. That was a mistake. You’re the reason my daughter almost died.”
Mr. Areola congratulated Romina and her team for acquiring a 25% increase in sales. Mr. Garcia however decided to close down the company despite the efforts of Mina and her team since the numbers didn’t really add up.
At the precinct, the goon snatched an officer’s güñ and used a woman as a hostage in order to escape. Mini-Daniela confronted Mikoy and demanded to know where Cassie was, blaming her and her mother for the fight her parents had had. Mikoy tried talking some sense into her, pointing out the fact that she was also guilty of the same thing she was accusing Romina of.
Carlos ambushed Romina at SikaTuna, on the guise of apologizing for what his wife had done. Romina however told him to stay away and leave her alone so Daniela would stop bothering her. Daniela was still upset about last night’s incident, blaming Romina for all her troubles. Savannah gave her a reality check, pointing out the fact that Carlos was the one chasing after Romina.
Mrs. Galvez came over to inform Daniela about the board asking for the sales report when they still hadn’t been able to dispose of the excess products. Danny girl demanded to have the board wait. After answering a phone call, Savvy told Daniela about how the factory workers were complaining and refusing to work anymore.
After Mini-Daniela gave her speech and empty promises to the Maxwell students, Nadya took the stand and played a recording of the conversation she had had with Cassie earlier where she had discredited Marga. Romina arrived home, only to find her door ajar. She grabbed a broom and sneaked in.
She noticed a man going through her kitchen cabinet and she stalked over, the broom raised and ready to strike. Some water gushed out, startling and drenching her as the man turned to her. “Ahhhh! Leon! How did you get in here?”
“I spoke to Neil,” Leon replied. “I wanted to make it up to you. I shouldn’t have said what I did.”
“Have you been fixing things around the house?”
Leon nodded and offered Romina a towel, apologizing and suggesting that she go change. Mina snatched the towel, scowling. She then had a call from Bernard, telling her about the escape of the prisoner. Leon offered to drive her to the precinct but Mina was hesitant. She then had another phone call. “Let’s meet, Romina,” said the goon on the other line. “I’ll tell you something I know you’re dying to hear.”
“And why should I believe a fugitive like you?”
“Hector would have k!lled me if I didn’t escape, so you better meet me right now if you want to know who’s behind all this.”
“Where?”
Leon then offered to go with her. Alvin told his brother about the escape of the goon from prison, and Hector sent out his men to find him before the cops did. Mini-Daniela was ranting and throwing a fit like the spoilt brat she was. As soon as she heard Kristoff calling out to her, she suddenly turned into a damsel in distress. Kristoff entered the classroom as Mini-Daniela wailed over Cassie ruining her reputation. Daniela stormed into the factory and demanded that the workers go back to work. They however refused to until she stopped treating them like slaves.
Ignoring Savvy’s reasoning, Danny girl ordered the guards to kick out all the workers. The workers grabbed some sardines cans and started launching them. A can hit Danny girl squarely in the head. Mini-Daniela confronted Cassie, greeting her with slap. Cassie didn’t hesitate to return the favor.
Mikoy came between them as Marga began with her accusations. Kristoff, LJ and Fatima came over and Cassie eventually learned of the situation. She admitted to having talked to Nadya without the intent of humiliating her. Mini-Daniela ranted and Cassie gave her a piece of her mind.
“Cassie, that’s enough. Let’s not make things worse,” Kristoff cut in.
“Make it worse? Tope, I’m just defending myself. Do you really think I’d do that?”
“It’s not like that, but you can’t resolve things by fighting like this.”
“I’m not the one who needs a lecture here,” Cassie shot back before storming off.
Romina arrived with Leon at the rendezvous point to meet the goon, who asked for her help so he could escape before Hector k!lled him. Romina turned to walk away, not willing to go through with it. The goon then dropped the bomb. “Hector wasn’t behind the hit on you. It was Daniela who ordered it.”
Romina looked on in disbelief, turning back to face him. “Help me, Romina. I’m the only one who can point them out.”
Romina glanced at Leon for a second. “It was Daniela?”
“I didn’t know it at first. Hector’s the only one who contacted me, but his brother slipped when he talked to me.”
“Romina, don’t believe a word he says,” Leon cut in.
“I’m telling the truth,” the goon insisted. “Hector will k!ll me. Help me.”
“You’re still a criminal,” Romina pointed out. “You have to pay for all of the crimes you have com mitted.”
“But how will I do that if I’m dead?”
“Don’t worry. I’ll talk to the police chief. I’ll ask him to keep you safe.”
Some officers stormed the building as Romina asked the goon to trust them and surrender. With several güñs trained on him, the scumbag however made an attempt to pull out his own güñ. A single shot sounded and he dropped dead in an instant.
Daniela was throwing a tantrum at the hospital, and Savannah told her that at least she had to be grateful that the workers hadn’t finished her off. Danny girl however ordered her to make the head of security kick out the workers from Camila.
The factory workers were protesting and refusing to leave until Daniela gave them what they wanted. The head of security ordered a fireman to hose down the protesters. The water gushed like a heavenly shower on them. At the Mondragon house, Romina readied her güñ, determined to confront Daniela and make her pay for what she had done to her daughter. Leon insisted on going with her since he couldn’t stop her.
Carlos blamed his brother for the incident at Romina’s the other night since he had suggested that he help out Cassie to get on Romina’s good side.Gino said he hadn’t told him to let Marga catch him in the act. Carlos then decided to annul his marriage to Daniela so Mina would stop avoiding her. Mikoy confronted Marga, accusing her of conniving with Nadya to make Cassie look bad.
Mini-Daniela denied it and kept throwing accusations of her own at Cassie. Mikoy then told her that Cassie was innocent and wasn’t the enemy and that he would prove it to her. Daniela arrived home only to find Romina in her bedroom, sitting so leisurely in her couch. Mina cocked her güñ and confronted Danny girl, telling her not to scream lest she accidentally pull the trigger.
“How did you get in here?” Daniela asked.
“How could you hurt my daughter?” Romina began. “You wanted to k!ll both of us so you’d get all of Robert’s money?”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“I know the truth, Daniela. You manipulated me so I’d give you everything. That was a mistake. You’re the reason my daughter almost died.”
Danny girl ranted on. “Is this how you repay me after what I did to save your beloved daughter’s life?” Daniela taunted.
“You tricked me,” Mina countered. “I gave everything to you. I even handed over my right as Robert’s wife. I sacrificed Cassie’s future. And that was a mistake. It was all part of your plan.”
Daniela played dumb and Romina demanded that she give back everything to her and return the life Robert had planned for her daughter. Danny girl refused, even as Mina asked that she make a document that gave them back their inheritance. Romina trained her güñ on her. Nanny Esther knocked on the door and Daniela called out for help. Esther walked in on the scene as Mina held Daniela at güñpøint.
“Please, call the police,” Daniela pleaded.
Esther ignored her. “Romina, let’s talk about this. There’s no need for any of this.”
“She wanted me and Cassie dead so she could get Robert’s money,” Mina revealed. “She’s the reason Cassie almost died. Tell me, how do we fix this?”
Esther was in shock. “Romina, this isn’t right. If you do this, what happens to Cassie? You won’t be by her side. Who will protect her? I’m begging you. Think about Cassie. Please, don’t do this.” Esther managed to pry the güñ from Romina’s grip.
Mina turned to stare at Daniela. “This isn’t over,” she hissed before walking off.
Again, Esther ignored Daniela’s rantings to call the police on Mina. Cassie told her friends about what had really gone down between her and Nadya, adding that Nadya had taken their conversation out of context.
“Don’t worry,” LJ said. “We believe she plotted your conversation.”
“I hope Tope does too,” Cassie cut in.
“Kristoff didn’t take Marga’s side,” Fatima pointed out. “He just didn’t want you to fight.”
“I just want to clear my name.”
“What you going to do?” LJ asked. “Elections are next week.”
“I’ll figure it out.”
Mini-Daniela had found out about the incident earlier, and Daniela told her that Romina had aimed a güñ at her. Esther came over and announced that she hadn’t called the police because according to Neil, the hired k!ller had pointed out Daniela as the mastermind behind everything. Mini-Daniela ranted on and spouted a bunch of nonsense.
Neil was appalled that Daniela had gone so low as to risk Cassie’s life. Cassie asked her mother to let go of the matter because she didn’t want trouble especially now that they had started a new life. Mina told her that she was fighting for her because Daniela had basically stolen the life Robert had given her.
“What are you going to do?” Neil asked.
“We’ll fight back. I’ll take back everything Daniela has taken from us. Everything.”
Romina went to see Leon to thank him for helping her out last night. “Why did you stop me?”
“Because you don’t know how painful it is to regret something for the rest of your life.”
“Is that what happened to you?”
“I regret lots of things.”
“Just because I didn’t go through with my plan doesn’t mean I’ll stop. I will find justice, Leon.”
“I won’t take that from you, Romina. But do it the right way. If you don’t consider what you do, you’re going to lose in the end.”
Neil told Romina and Bernard about what had happened at the rally and how some workers had gotten injured while others had been arrested. Bernard offered to go and help them but Mina reminded him that he couldn’t because he was still Camila’s counsel, adding that the only way they could help them was to put Daniela in jail first.
“But Romina, how can we do that?” Neil asked.
“The man who hit Cassie told me that Daniela was the mastermind behind the car crash. We can use that statement against her.”
“But he was shot dead,” Bernard mentioned. “And dead men aren’t witnesses.”
Leon walked in. “Well…I was there when the suspect confessed.”
Cassie confronted Nadya over her editing out their conversation to ruin Marga’s reputation. Nadya and Nica were taken by surprise when Cassie offered to talk to her former classmates and the other students so she could convince them not to vote for Marga. Nadya excitedly told Nica to get Cassie a visitor’s pass.
“Not just me,” Cassie said. “Him too.”
The girls turned to see Mikoy coming over. “This boy? Really?”
“We all have something against Marga. And there’s nothing that’ll worry her more, than facing us altogether.”
The board was appalled that they had recorded a 15% decrease in profit. They brought up the matter of overproduction and Daniela claimed that she had already fixed that.
“How exactly?!” a board member yelled. “By overworking the workers?” The man’s phone beeped and he picked it up to see a video of the factory workers being hosed down. He passed it among his comrades so they could all have a look. They then showed the video to Daniela. “And by doing this?”
Danny girl was taken by surprise. “How did you…”
“You only worsened the company’s situation, Daniela! We would definitely be charged for what you did.”
“Then so be it!”
An officer came in just then and served Danny girl with a warrant. “You are under arrest for the attempted mürdër of Cassie Mondragon.”
Cassie ran into some of her former classmates at Maxwell International. Nadya pointed out how much they seemed to løvë her more than Marga. Mini-Daniela came over with Kristoff. “I knew it. You’re teaming up with Nadya.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Cassie said. “The election’s a few hours away. You should focus on winning instead. Because… Nadya’s all set.”
“That’s right,” Nadya added. “So may the best woman win, Marga.”
Romina had a talk with some Camila employees, promising to have Bernard help them get their charges dropped. They asked if they would still be able to keep their jobs and Mina said she couldn’t really tell because she didn’t work there anymore. They then pleaded with Romina to come back since Daniela treated them differently from the way she and Robert did.
“Don’t worry. That’s always been my plan,” Romina said. “But first, I need to work my way back to the top. I will take it back from Daniela.”
“Please take us with you. We’ll help you get back on your feet. Just like before, we will support you.”
“But it’s not that easy. And I don’t know how long it’s going to take.”
“We have faith in you, ma’am. We’ll be with you no matter how long it takes, because we know that you’ll succeed.”
Carlos had a series of flashbacks concerning the atrocities of his wife and the countless times she had kept her dirty secrets from him. He took off his wedding ring. A woman came in. “Sir, what can I do for you?”
“Attorney, I want to file for annulment. I want to leave my wife for good.”
Daniela was being driven to the precinct, silently blaming Hector for the situation she was in. The police car came to a sudden stop since there was a truck blocking the road. An officer got out a second before some masked goons subdued the officers and took Daniela away. After Marga gave her campaign speech, Nadya discredited her and called Cassie in to provide proof of Marga’s diabolism. Cassie walked onto the stage and faced off with Mini-Daniela. Romina was determined to help the SikaTuna workers who had lost their jobs. She asked Mr. Garcia to allow her manage the factory and she would pay him back in installments.
“What are you going to do with the factory?” Mr. Garcia asked.
“I want to run it, sir. I’m going to start my own company.”
“Are you sure? It’s not that easy.”
“I know, sir. But a lot of people are counting on me and I can’t let them down.”
“Give me some time to think.”
“Thank you, sir.” Romina had a call after Mr. Garcia had left. “Hello, Bernard.”
“We have a problem, Romina. It’s Daniela. She was kidñäpped.”
“What?”
