“You bästärd! Tell us who your boss is! You bästärd! Tell us the truth! Come here, you liar! I want you to confess!”
Cassie was downcast over the little fight she had had with Tope, courtesy of Mini-Daniela. Kristoff came over with a sweet scented bouquet of flowers to apologize for what had happened, promising to believe only in her from now on. “That was a misunderstanding,” Cassie said. “But next time, I hope that you talk to me first before you believe other people over me.”
“Yes. I know. It’s my fault.”
“Okay. Apology accepted,” Cassie stated with a smile.
Kulas, with Carlos, took the police to the goon’s place only to find it deserted. Kulas then announced that they could probably find the scumbag at the gambling den. Meanwhile, the said scumbag called Hector and told him about how Kulas had reported him to the police.
“Teach his wife a lesson,” Hector said. “Scare him so he’ll stop.”
“Got it, boss.”
Mini-Daniela joined some random students at their dining table. The girls fawned over her and kept spouting a bunch of nonsense. Marga then had a phone call from Mikoy, asking that they meet up so they could talk. Miss Hazel introduced Romina and Daniela on the Usapang Puhunan show. After a brief battle of words, Danny girl threw a cook-off challenge at Romina and Mina gladly accepted. Meanwhile, Leon got into his car somewhere along the road, only to realize that Romina had left her cooking ingredients in the back.
Marga and the Mean Squad talked about the upcoming students election. Mini-Daniela was complacent and certain of her victory, claiming that she was the queen and no one could compete against her. She was however focused on ruining Cassie’s relationship with Kristoff, go figure. Back on the Usapang Puhunan show, the cook-off had began between Romina and Daniela. Mina was preparing an indigenous dish while Danny girl opted for a first class dish, talking down Mina’s local one. The show took a break and Neil went over to ask his sister why she looked so worried.
“I’m missing an ingredient,” Romina revealed. “It’s very important, and it’s in the other box.” Mina then asked Neil and Bonita to watch over her pot while she went to the dressing room for it.
The police searched the gambling den and found the entire place spotless and deserted. A goon who’d been watching the show secretly placed a phone call. “Hello, boss. Everything’s good here. The place is cleaned up. There’s no one left there but these stüpïd cops.”
“Good. Now get over here. We’ve got work to do.” Hector was smiling to himself after the phone call.
“What are you so happy about?” Alvin asked. “The gambling den was raided because of that nutcase. He ratted us out.”
“Don’t worry. I’m always one step ahead of that old man. I had everything cleaned up before the police could get there. The place is spotless. We were gonna leave it anyway.”
“What you talking about?”
“I have a new business.”
“What business is that?”
Hector then took his brother in to show him around, excited. “Well?”
“Another gambling den?” Alvin was incredulous. “How is this new? It’s just a bigger place.”
“I’m calling this place ‘the card club’. We’ll operate like a casino. This business is registered. We have legal papers and the police won’t come after us.”
“This is awesome. This will make us even richer.”
“You said it.” Hector then had a call from the scumbag as Alvin went to take a look around the building. “Where are you?”
“I’m staking out the old man’s house.”
“Keep a close eye on them. No messing around this time. Don’t let the chick out of your sight. Finish the job tonight.”
Leon was taken into Romina’s dressing room to wait for her since the show was on a break. He however went out when he noticed how the place had been disorganized with SikaTuna sardines cans. Daniela was having a battle of words with Neil and Bonita. She asked whether Romina had left, and since they couldn’t help her with her food because Daniela had threatened to fire them if they did, Bonita went out in search of Mina.
Daniela deliberately shoved something to the floor and as Neil was preoccupied with it, she took the opportunity to pour in some salt and pepper into Mina’s pot. Leon looked on. Romina and Neil were coming down the stairs when they ran into Leon. Leon gave Mina the box of ingredients, of which she was much grateful.
“You should continue cooking, Romina,” Bonita said. “The commercial break won’t last long.”
“You’re right. I have to go, Leon. Thank you.”
“Romina. Hang on.”
Mina turned back to face Leon. “What’s wrong?”
Gino told his mother about the failure of the police to apprehend Jude’s k!ller. Myrna said that it was time for them to ask for help, and Gino suggested that they ask Romina since she and Jude had been investigating something, adding that the person who k!lled Jude had also caused Cassie’s accident.
Myrna decided to go to Romina, but Gino couldn’t accompany her since he had work to do. Miss Hazel and the audience had a taste of Daniela’s 1st class dish. Romina’s local dish was passed on to the audience as well. After miss Hazel had a taste of Mina’s dish, Danny girl looked on as miss Hazel had a look of shock on her face.
“Hmmm… Delicious.”
Romina released the breath she had been holding, sighing in relief. Miss Hazel commended Romina, who went on to talk about how there was no need for the use of expensive ingredients to satisfy their appetite, as long as SikaTuna sardines was concerned. The audience gave a clap offering. “We’ll find out which dish won our audience over when our beloved audience votes.
Keep it here on, Usapang Puhunan!”
Danny girl looked on as Mina smiled. Mikoy argued with Marga about how she kept chasing after Cassie’s boyfriend like a dejected dog. She told her to accept that she had already lost, and that she should stop calling her Michael because he went by Mikoy.
Mikoy and Marga agreed on a deal; if Kristoff left Cassie for Marga, Mikoy would have to stop being friends with Cassie but if she lost, then Marga would have to stop going after Kristoff. Romina was glad as Miss Hazel and the audience commended her on the delicious indigenous dish she had made. Danny girl was indifferent.
A flashback was shown of how Leon told on Daniela. Bonita suggested that they pour the soup on Danny girl since she was way too bitter and salty. Romina said it wasn’t an option, eventually deciding to add more vegetables to balance out the flavor. Romina won the cook-off challenge, despite Daniela’s act of sabotage.
Kulas and Carlos got home, only to find the house empty. Carlos went out to call his mother. Leon helped out Romina with her stuff and offered to give her a ride home.Myrna set out to have a talk with Romina concerning the goon involved in Jude’s dëäth and Cassie’s accident. She noticed the scumbag tailing her, but she managed to get away.
Romina ran into Myrna on her way home. Myrna told her about Jude’s k!ller being the same person behind Cassie’s accident. Romina was shocked to learn of the revelation. She decided to take Myrna home with her. Myrna had a call from Carlos, and she told him that she was at Romina’s because they were helping her hide from Jude’s k!ller since he had been tailing her.
“Alright. Stay there,” Carlos said. “I’m coming over.”
Leon then went out to check the surroundings. The goon informed Hector that he couldn’t get the job done because the cop’s mother had gone to Romina’s house and he couldn’t get in. Hector ordered him to accomplish the task by any means necessary, even if he had to k!ll them all.
Leon went to his storage house to retrieve a wëäpon, telling the guys about the situation on ground. Felix rallied the guys, with their own wëäpons to patrol the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Myrna apologized to Romina for getting her involved in her issues. Mina however told her that there was no way she wouldn’t be involved if the scumbag was really behind Jude’s dëäth and Cassie’s accident.
The lights started flickering on and off, and Romina dashed into her room. She returned with a häñdgün in hand, giving Neil and Myrna a little scare. Mina then went out to stake the area. Kristoff walked Cassie home after school, discussing about Nadya going against Marga in the upcoming students election. Hector’s henchman hovered close by.
After bidding goodbye to Cassie, Kristoff recognized the goon and decided to follow. Romina stood guard in the Mondragon house. She noticed the doorknob turning slowly and she took cover behind the wall, her güñ ready in hand. Carlos poked his head out, almost suffering a heart attack as his face came face-to-face with Romina’s güñ.
“Hey!”
Mina was incredulous. “Carlos! Why didn’t you say anything?! I almost shot you!”
“The lights were out. Your door was unlocked, and I thought the worst.”
Cassie was coming up the stairs when the goon grabbed her. She called out for help and Romina dashed out with Carlos in tow, her güñ readily aimed. The goon threatened to k!ll her daughter if she pulled the trigger. As he held Cassie hostage, Leon came up from behind and engaged the scumbag. He got stabbed but managed to take him out. Later, Romina stormed into the precinct and charged at the goon. “You bästärd! Tell us who your boss is! You bästärd! Tell us the truth!”
Leon managed to restrain her as Myrna took the stage. “Who exactly do you work for?! Who ordered you to k!ll my son?!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” the scumbag claimed.
Myrna went at him for a while before Carlos held him back. “You bästärd!”
Romina then broke free and grabbed the scumbag. “Come here, you liar! I want you to confess,” Mina yelled, roughing him up a bit. “You almost k!lled my…” Mina placed a well aimed low kick as Leon pulled her away again.
The goon insisted that he knew nothing about the accusations levelled against him. Romina tried going after him again, but Leon held her in place and asked her to allow the police do their job. Myrna broke free of Carlos’ grip and launched something at the scumbag. “Even if you go to prison, it won’t be enough for what you did to my son!” she hissed, throwing a left kick.
Romina later went to check up on Leon, thanking him for saving her daughter. Leon’s guys came over, calling Romina Miss beautiful. They asked to have a selfie taken with her since she was trending online due to the interview on the Usapang Puhunan show. Romina was flustered and embarrassed as the guys insist on taking a selfie with her and their boss Leon. She sat by Leon and one of the guys took a selfie. Daniela asked her daughter where her father was. Mini-Daniela had no idea, and Danny girl told her about the interview Romina had bested her at.
“Don’t you ever let anyone bring you down,” Daniela said. “And don’t ever allow yourself to be a glorified doormat.”
“Yes, mommy.” Mini-Daniela then went on about how she would not back down even though Nadya was also running for students president. “You said it yourself, too. The only number that matters, is number one.”
“You really are my daughter, Marga. And I’m sure you’ll win no matter who your opponent is.”
“Of course, mom. Nadya doesn’t stand a chance. I know all her weaknesses.”
