“You still haven’t gotten rid of your idiøtiç father-in-law? I’ll handle them, Daniela. But if your father-in-law won’t stop investigating, I’ll get rid of him myself so you should do something to make him quit.”
Carlos tried desperately to keep his wife from taking the clients to see Romina’s booth, but the distraction only lasted for a while before Daniela went ahead with the guests. A moment later, Danny girl arrived at SikaTuna’s booth which had nothing to show. She went on about how SikaTuna were incapable suppliers.
Carlos tried to convince his wife and the clients to come back later as Bibeth added to the trouble. Romina rushed in just then and made the clients try her milkfish sardines, of which they commended her. Mina then went on to list the different recipes of milkfish.
Danny girl and her bratty lapdog didn’t seem happy. Kulas went to the mansion to ask about Romina’s house address so he could have a talk with her and ask her the person she suspected, since he believed that Jude’s dëäth was connected to Cassie’s accident.
Nanny Esther refused to give him the address, but she however told him that Romina suspected that Daniela was behind what happened to Cassie. In science class at Maxwell International, Mini-Daniela managed to manipulate her way into pairing up with Kristoff. She spouted some lame ass apology for causing a fight between him and Cassie. Kristoff said Cassie didn’t mind if they were friends again.
Kristoff actually thanked Mini-Daniela again for ‘saving’ him the other day at the restaurant, glad to be friends with her once again. The Mean Squad looked on, as well as LJ and Fatima. Meanwhile, at Maxwell Integrated, Cassie opened her locker only to find her books missing.
Daniela was very upset that Savannah had tried some of Romina’s sardines. She was more upset to learn that the clients were patronizing more of Romina’s sardines than Camila’s so much that she kicked Savvy and Mrs. Galvez out of her office.
“You can’t get back on your feet, Romina,” Danny girl hissed. “I’ll make sure I cut you down for good.” She then had a call from Kulas. “Yes, dad?”
“Daniela, we need to talk. Let’s meet up.”
Myrna was worried about her husband getting into trouble on account of the investigation into Jude’s dëäth. “Is it true?” Kulas asked when Daniela came up to him.
“Is what true?” Danny girl said, confused.
“Be honest with me. Did you have anything to do with Cassie’s accident?”
Cassie ran into Leon on her way home. On account of her downcast face, Leon asked what was wrong and Cassie told him that her pricy books had been stolen at school and she had the feeling that her classmate was the culprit, the same person who had stolen her money before. Leon charged her not to let it slide, and Cassie said she didn’t want to point fingers because she didn’t have proof.
Back at the rendezvous point, Daniela denied all allegations levelled against her. She started with her signature emotional blackmail, crying on demand like a naughty child throwing a tantrum whenever Kulas turned to glance at her. Romina’s milkfish sardines was gaining popularity among the indigenous folks. Cassie told Bernard about the sardines she sold online and how she had gained more customers, adding that Mr. Leon had been helping her too.
“Who’s Mr. Leon?” Bernard asked.
“Oh, he’s our neighbor who sells glassware,” Romina explained.
A moment later, Leon entered the Mondragon house with Felix, bringing along some jars for Cassie so she could recover her losses and pay him back once she’d done so.
“Dear, what is he talking about?” Mina asked.
“My money got stolen, ma.”
“What? Is everything alright at school? Should I talk to your teacher?”
“Ma, I’m fine. I can handle it. I’ll just be extra careful next time.”
Kulas went to an old friend to buy a güñ. Meanwhile at the gambling den, Alvin had opened his own little ammunition store and was selling some güñs to the guys. Hector was appalled at the prospect since the guys got their money from him. Romina thanked Leon for helping out Cassie.
Leon told her that Cassie reminded him of his kid, much to Mina’s surprise. Romina apologized for being mean to him earlier. Mini-Daniela was over the moon now that Cassie was no longer in Maxwell International and everything was going her way. She was much more excited to parasite on Kristoff, even as she recalled her moments with Mikoy.
Daniela was determined to stop Kulas from investigating Jude’s dëäth. Savannah suggested that she admit Hector’s involvement but Danny girl was against the idea since the Mangubat brothers would probably take her down with them.
“No secret can remain hidden, Daniela,” Savvy stated.
“I know, Savannah. I’m just trying to find a way that’ll keep me safe.”
A phone call came in and Savannah picked up, staring at Daniela as she disconnected the line. “What’s wrong, Savvy?” Danny girl asked.
“A worker collapsed at the factory, and it doesn’t look good.”
Kulas discarded Myrna’s concern regarding his investigation. He asked her not to get involved, certain that nothing bad would happen to him. At SikaTuna, Romina was hailed and commended for acquiring more clients and increasing the company’s sales. She was surprised to be given the goahead to carry out her own project, of which she was the project manager. Bibeth later approached her and started spouting some crap about how Mina’s victory was just a fluke.
“This is a big step for the company,” Mina tried to reason. “Can’t we all be happy about this?”
Daniela went to see the worker who had collapsed at the factory. The guy pleaded to take a leave so he could go and rest at home since his family were worried about his condition. Danny girl however gave an ultimatum, threatening to fire him and all the other workers who were complaining if they went home.
Kulas staked out the gambling den, going into hiding as a goon approached. Cassie was having a talk with Mikoy about the person who had been stealing from her when Kristoff came over. Kristoff asked what the matter was since they looked so serious, but Cassie lied through her teeth, claiming that they had just been talking about a class project.
Mikoy gave them some space as Kristoff invited Cassie to the music club’s upcoming concert. Back outside the gambling den, Myrna joined Kulas and the old man showed her a photo of the culprit he was after.
“He’s the nurse who told me to leave the ICU,” Myrna said.
“And it’s possible that he did something in there to k!ll our son. I have to find out.”
Myrna then took some cash from Kulas so she could go in ahead and stake out the place. A moment later, she went into the gambling den and bought some chips to gamble with. Daniela’s fake investigator went to the Bartolome house and asked about Kulas. Big mouth Jessa rambled on about how Kulas was out investigating on his own because he (the investigator) was useless and incompetent. Carlos went to SikaTuna and apologized to Romina for his wife’s actions at the seafood expo, insinuating that his dearest wife could be behind the problem she had encountered there.
“Whatever she’s got in store for you, just know that I’m here for you. I’ll protect you from Daniela.”
“Carlos, if you really want to help, focus on your own wife so she’ll stop bothering me. You don’t need to worry about me because I can handle myself.”
Alvin was distressed since he couldn’t reach the guy who had shot Jude. Hector asked if they had had a deal, and Alvin revealed that the guy had bought a güñ from him and he couldn’t return it to the supplier because he had already ordered it. Hector was starting to worry. “Call him. Call him again. Right now.”
Mini-Daniela and the Mean Squad watched as Kristoff trained with the team. As soon as the coach called for a water break, Mini-Daniela went over and started pestering Kristoff with her presence, even inviting him out to the coffee shop they had hanged out in the other time. Kristoff declined, saying that he and Cassie have plans.
Mini-Daniela told him to come around in case he got bored or changed his mind. Cassie was considering going to ask Kristoff for help since she was running out of ideas on how to put a stop to the adventures of the thief who had been ‘borrowing’ from her. Mikoy talked her out of it while Roxanne suggested that they report the matter to the police. Cassie was against the idea.
“What if we offered a reward to whoever can catch the thief for us?” Mikoy said.
“Cut that out,” Roxy admonished. “Cassie doesn’t have money.”
“I know. What if you sold your phone? I’m sure someone will buy that.”
Cassie’s face lit up. “That’s it. My cellphone.”
“What about it?”
“I’ll leave it here,” Cassie replied, dropping her phone on the desk. “Let’s go. C’mon.” They hurried out into another classroom.
Gwen went to the classroom to pick up her books. She noticed Cassie’s phone and stared at it. As Cassie and the others watched secretly from the outside, Gwen eventually picked up the phone, and off she went.
“She’s the thief,” Mikoy stated.
“C’mon, let’s follow her,” Cassie added. “Hurry.”
Daniela received a phone call from the fake investigator who relayed to her everything he had learned concerning Kulas. Danny girl then called Hector and passed on the information, telling him to make sure all his men kept their mouths shut. Hector was incredulous. “You still haven’t gotten rid of your idiøtiç father-in-law?”
“I’m doing what I can so make sure your men don’t say anything.”
“I’ll handle them, Daniela. But if your father-in-law won’t stop investigating, I’ll get rid of him myself so you should do something to make him quit.”
Back at the gambling den, Myrna told her husband over the phone about how she had ran out of cash while gambling. “That’s not what we’re meant to do,” Kulas grumbled.
“Yes, I know that. Just trust me on this. Wait for my call.”
Finally content that Hector would get rid of Kulas when need be, Daniela set out to get rid of Romina as well. Bratty lapdog gave her some damning files she had acquired on SikaTuna. Danny girl was overjoyed to learn that SikaTuna was buried in countless debts. She then placed a call to the bureau of internal revenue. As Kristoff waited for Cassie outside of class, Trina came over and spouted some crap, telling him about how Cassie had already left with Mikoy.
Somewhere in Navotas, Gwen was bargaining with a guy for Cassie’s phone when Roxy spotted and pointed them out.Cassie rushed over and snatched her phone. The guy ran off as Cassie turned to stare at Gwen. She tried to run off but Cassie caught her. Mikoy and Roxy suggested that she call the police on her.
Gwen got upset and Mikoy gave her a reality check. As Mikoy suggested that they call the police again, Gwen’s grandmother came over to learn of the adventures of her granddaughter. She gave Gwen a much needed scolding and pleaded for a chance to pay back the money. Cassie and the others looked sympathetic. Myrna spotted the goon they had been looking for at the gambling den. Turned out the guy had had a very very bad day gambling.
Daniela met up with a rep from the revenue agency and gave her the files on SikaTuna regarding their finances and taxes. “They aren’t paying what they owe.”
The woman went through the files. “Is this true?”
Danny girl smirked triumphantly. Over the phone, Romina told Bonita about Carlos’ hunch about Daniela sabotaging her products and booth at the seafood expo. “Carlos is right. Daniela is capable of doing more than that.”
“But how can that happen?” Bonita wondered out loud. “You’re in a different company. Isn’t it impossible for Daniela to sabotage you?”
“Unless she’s using another employee here to sabotage me.”
Romina turned to stare at Bibeth who had been busy typing away at her computer. Mina looked on in contemplation.
