Carlos Becomes Obsessed With Defeating Gabriel. Trouble Continues To Pile Up With Gabriel’s Family. Bianca Surprises Everyone. A Showdown Ensues Between Carlos & Gabriel.
Gabriel goes looking for Bianca and he’s taken by surprise when Marilyn tells him of how she had gone with Carlos to train in Batangas. Since Gabriel hasn’t been able to contact her on the phone for a while now, Marilyn gives it a shot but her call too doesn’t go through.
Derek taunts Isabel with how she always carries out Carlos’ orders. Steph comes over and asks to go with her stepsister to the triathlon so she can get to know her more, stating that their mother used to tell her of how she (Isabel) used to be the top triathlete.
Gabriel returns to his workplace at the market and whines to Olsen about how Carlos had taken Bianca to Batangas for a one week training session.Carlos takes Bianca through a series of trainings and reminds her that she has to win first place in the race. In Manila, Gabriel also begins training with his team and coach and he wows them with his performance.
Bianca is nearly hit by a motorcyclist carrying some goods and Carlos saves her. He then berates the guy and pounces on him. Bianca strives to keep her boss from doing further damage. Isabel is initially surprised to learn that Gabriel had signed up for the triathlon. She looks on mischievously.
Ironic enough, Carlos ends up spraining his ankle and since he can’t take Bianca through anymore trainings for a while, he reluctantly agrees to return to Manila with her.Gabriel is lectured by his madame when she discovers an oversight in the inventory. Bianca returns home to inform her mother about the incident that had cut short her training in Batangas.
She then brings up Gabriel’s participation in the upcoming triathlon and Maila confidently states that he has the potential to be a great athlete. In the meantime, Gabriel has a talk with his grandma about how he’s started making mistakes at work because of the triathlon. Eventually, he decides to back out from the race so he doesn’t lose his job and Jojo convinces him otherwise.
At TigerShark, Isabel taunts Carlos with Gabriel’s involvement in the triathlon. Rigor actually talks down at his son when he confides in him about his current situation. However, Gabriel refuses to be discouraged. Carlos resorts to the lowest of the lows by joining the triathlon in spite of his injury.
Isabel takes pleasure in mocking him with how he seems to be threatened by Gabriel. Carlos denies it and begins blabbering about how he wants to make fun of him and put him in his place. Speaking of, Gabriel goes to see Bianca at the training facility to catch up with her and talk about the upcoming triathlon.
Bianca promises to give him her full support like he had done for her before. Gabriel then asks her to share a running technique with him and she gladly obliges. Carlos begins training in spite of his sprained ankle and the coach makes futile attempts to caution him against the repercussions.
Lydia and her companions excitedly talk about the triathlon her grandson would be taking part in, confident that he would win. However, Rigor bluntly belittles him. Bianca is leaving for home with Gabriel when a coworker comes to notify her that she’s needed at the office. Gabriel then takes her bag to wait for her.
After she leaves, Carlos shows up to display his usual arrogance, whining nonstop about how he can never win. A faceoff ensues and Gabriel gives him a piece of his mind, ultimately stating that he might even beat him in the race. Bianca returns and comes upon the scene. Carlos childishly demands that from now on, she has to train alone under her designated coach and not with Gabriel or anyone else.
Putot stands up to Rigor and criticizes him for how he had abandoned his son all those years ago, stating that he and his companions are the ones who actually care about him. Rigor gets upset and an exchange of words ensue as Gabriel arrives home and tries to restore order. Rigor angrily punches the old man and when Gabriel sides with Putot, the scoundrel actually begins to make more of a scene.
Carlos, Gabriel and Bianca continue with their respective trainings for the triathlon. Gabriel and Bianca pray together at a chapel for good health and a successful performance in the upcoming triathlon. They then discuss about how they’re both expected to win, with Bianca stating that what matters most is that they train hard and do their best.
Roman returns home after work and Victoria strives to convince him to support their son in his triathlon ambitions. During dinner, Gabriel discusses with his family about the triathlon and when he asks Rigor if he would be coming along, the scoundrel gives him the cold shoulder.
They secure a jeepney to travel to the location and Rigor suddenly joins them at the last minute. Victoria gladly prepares some meals for her son after convincing her husband to go to the event with her. Carlos comes over to blabber about Gabriel’s participation and how he would put him in his place. Vicky is unnerved.
The next morning, Victoria tries to wiggle her way out of going to the event and Roman makes it clear that he would also not attend if she doesn’t go with him. While the Villorias and company eat at a table set up at the event, Carlos rears his ugly head and literally insults them and demands that they move somewhere else.
Upon getting wind of it, Gabriel goes to confront him and a faceoff and a few choice words are exchanged. Bianca comes upon the scene and tells Gabriel to stop it, saying that she doesn’t want any trouble.Carlos silently makes mockery of Gabriel after Bianca storms off. The triathlon finally begins and Jay Jay is delighted when he spots Steph nearby taking a video of the event.
He approaches her and begins making advances at her again. In spite of his persistence, Steph refuses to tell him her name. She accidentally falls into the river and Jay Jay comes to her rescue. Still, Steph lashes out at him and storms off, leaving her cellphone behind which Jay Jay finds.
Upon learning of the incident earlier, Rigor resorts to making a scene and picking a fight with Isabel and Lydia strives to put an end to his antics. After the swim leg, Carlos milks his injury, desperate to beat Gabriel at all cost. He manages to take the lead in the cycling leg and when Gabriel catches up with him, he deliberately causes him to crash and fall.
