“If Cassie and Daniela really are sisters, then that means Mr. Robert räpëd Romina, and Daniela knew about it. That means Cassie got into the accident because Daniela doesn’t want anyone to know. Romina needs to know about this.”
Hector scolded his men for failing to apprehend a single target. Meanwhile, Jude reported the incident to a fellow officer and he asked him if he had any suspects in mind. “It was Hector,” Jude stated. “His men broke into the car shop and hurt my mom. He even tried to k!ll me before.”
“Are you sure it was him?”
“No. But this man is the most likely suspect. He’s the only one capable of doing something like this.”
Mini-Daniela was throwing a fit and breaking things in her room like the spoilt rotten child she was. Kulas flashed back to his argument with Jessa earlier about how he couldn’t give her anything he wanted. He then retrieved the deed of Carlos’ auto shop. Cassie regained consciousness and thanked her mom and the others for taking care of her. Romina revealed that it was Daniela who had donated blood to her. Cassie was surprised.
“I promise you that this is the last time you’ll suffer like this,” Mina sobbed. “And if any other challenge comes our way, we’ll face it together. I will never leave your side.”
Jude arrived home and told his brother about the incident with the goons earlier, asking that he keep it a secret from their parents. “Is it that Hector again?” Gino asked. “Because dad owes him money?”
“No. This is different. I think they were only after me. It’s got me thinking what their motive really was.”
Cassie thanked Kristoff for being there for her. She then asked about his endorsement launch and Kristoff admitted that he had left the event to come see her since she had been in critical condition. “Tope…”
“Cassie, if I had a chance to do it all over again, I’d still do what I did. I’d rush here, to be with you.”
Marga stood outside, listening. “I’ll have other chances to fulfill my dream,” Kristoff went on. “But having the chance to be here when you need me is far rare. That’s why I choose you.”
Jude went to the hospital in search of Romina, and Jepoy revealed that she had gone out with nanny Esther to get some food. Neil announced that they were celebrating since Cassie was okay now. “I heard Daniela donated blood,” Jude said. “I’m surprised she agreed, Carlos.”
“We were surprised, too. We never thought she’d do that.”
“Isn’t it weird, out of all the possible blood donors,” Neil began. “Daniela is the only one who matched Cassie to the letter? To think their blood type is rare. Funny how fate works.”
Marga stole into Cassie’s hospital room and started ranting some nonsense about how she shouldn’t throw away the chance her mother had given her. Cassie asked to talk to her saint of a mother so she could thank her herself but Mini-Daniela kept ranting on about how Kristoff had ditched her at the endorsement launch all because of her.
“What’s so special about you that he sacrificed everything?” Mini-Daniela asked.
“He’s the only one who can answer that,” Cassie replied. “I really appreciate all his efforts, and I hope I get the chance to return the favor.”
A moment later, Daniela came into Cassie’s hospital room to check up on her. Cassie thanked her for the blood donation and Danny girl told her to just get well. Mini-Daniela was coming back into the room when she saw her dear mommy getting all cozy with Cassie. She looked on angrily. Hector told his brother to get ready so they could go to the police station and carry out their own dirty work since their men had failed before.
Romina gave Daniela the transfer documents of hers and Cassie’s inheritance. Danny girl spouted some nonsense and told Mina to go and pack up all their things so she could go back to the slams with her daughter as soon as she was discharged.
“No, problem,” Mina said.
“I want all of your things gone. Don’t leave a single trace of your existence.”
Jude asked a doctor at the hospital about the rarity of AB-blood type. “If I find two people with that blood type, does that mean they’re siblings?”
“That’s possible.”
“Really?”
“The blood type is actually rare, but a match is always possible. If you really want to know whether they’re related, you can conduct a DNA test.”
Hector spied on Jude. Daniela and her bratty lapdog were glad that they had been able to get the papers. Danny girl dragged Savvy away when she noticed Carlos approaching. Meanwhile, Jude was walking downstairs when he saw them talking up there. He quickly went to sneak up on them and listened in.
“Let’s just hope that no one starts questioning why you have the same blood type as Cassie,” Savvy said. “If they find out that Cassie is your sister, that’s going to be the end of you.”
Jude looked on in shock from where he hid. “If Cassie and Daniela really are sisters, then that means Mr. Robert räpëd Romina, and Daniela knew about it. That means Cassie got into the accident because Daniela doesn’t want anyone to know. Romina needs to know about this.”
Jude hurried back down and tried to call Romina, all to no avail. Meanwhile, Hector called his brother and told him to follow Jude since he was sure that he had connected the dots and was on his way to tell Romina. Bonita was worried about Romina since she had already given Daniela all the papers.
She asked whether she would be working in Camila anymore, and Romina told her that Daniela could only take what Robert had given her and not what she had worked hard for, including her position as VP for Operations.
Hector approached Daniela as she was still conversing with Savannah. “If you’re scared of me, you should be more afraid of Jude, because whatever you were talking about, he probably heard it. He was in a hurry to leave.”
“Well, let’s stop talking and do something,” Danny girl grumbled. ” Jude can’t tell anyone that Cassie is my real sister.”
Back inside the hospital, Romina had a phone call from Jude, telling her to meet him at the lobby so he could tell her something important about Cassie. A man was making a scene in the background. Mina went ahead as Alvin followed Jude on his way. Cassie asked Kristoff why she had lied to her about having a change of shift when he had already quit working at the diner, and Kristoff told her that he didn’t want her to worry.
“But this is too much,” Cassie said. “You’ve given up so much for me. Your job at the diner, your endorsement.”
“Because I wanted to take care of you. None of that will matter if I don’t have you.”
The Mean Squad asked Marga why her mom had been hospitalized and Marga claimed that it was because she had lost consciousness due to stress. Nadya asked about Michael and Marga said he had already left the country. Mikoy came over with a polythene of fruits and apologized for his behavior the other day. After Kristoff received a phone call from miss China, Cassie pressed him for answers and he reluctantly told her that he was being sued for breach of contract regarding the endorsement he had ditched.
Back in the hallway, Mikoy added to the lies of Marga. Meanwhile, Alvin told his brother about Jude’s intention of meeting Romina at the lobby. Hector asked Alvin to take care of the cop while he handled Romina. Kulas went to the gambling den and relinquished the deed to the auto shop as collateral for the money he owed.
He then borrowed some more money and Glen cautioned him that he only had a week to pay back lest he take the car shop. A call came in from Daniela, and Kulas rejected it.Daniela was frantic over Kulas rejecting her call and how Hector might silence Jude in the worst possible way since he probably wouldn’t listen to him.
Danny girl asked Savvy to find Marga before a fight ensued. Romina was waiting at the lobby when Carlos came over and asked what she was doing there. Mina told him that she was waiting for Jude because he was supposed to tell her something.
“Is it about Cassie?” Carlos asked. “Are you investigating her accident?”
“No, but it could have something to do with it. Jude is just trying to help me out. Your brother is doing what you should have been doing, Carlos.”
Daniela caught up with Jude and pleaded that they talk before he went to Romina since it would probably affect Carlos and Marga. Kristoff confronted Marga about her telling Cassie that he had quit working at the diner. He gave Mini-Daniela a piece of his mind and told her to mind her own business because she had no right to interfere in his decisions. “And one more thing, don’t visit Cassie anymore. You’re not helping with her recovery.”
“Marga did it to make Cassie and Kristoff fight,” Nadya commented as she stood nearby with Mikoy and the rest of the girls.
Mikoy made a face. “Oops. I forgot you’re here,” Nadya said to Mikoy. “But I’m just saying the truth.”
“She really wants Kristoff all to herself,” Nica added.
Mini-Daniela came over to give them a piece of her mind before storming off with Mikoy. Jude asked Daniela whether she had tried to k!ll Cassie because he was close to finding out the truth. Danny girl denied it, saying that she wouldn’t have given her her blood if she had wanted to k!ll her.
“Then why didn’t you tell her that she’s your real sister?” Jude asked.
“I can’t. I have to protect my dad’s good name. My father was Robert Mondragon. He was a well respected man. What do you think will happen if I confess that he was a räpïst? I could lose everything.”
“What he did was still wrong, Daniela.”
“But my father wasn’t a bad person,” Danny girl wailed.
“But Romina has been suffering for a long time,” Jude countered. “It’s her right to know the truth.”
More crying. “Jude, please don’t do this. I know you løve your father, and you would have done the same thing, right?”
Jude shook his head in determination. “You’re wrong, Daniela. I know what’s right from wrong.” And off he went as Danny girl kept sobbing and pleading for him to bend.
Daniela then made a phone call. “How did it go?” Hector asked. “Were you able to stop Jude?”
“I couldn’t stop him,” Danny girl wailed. “He’s on his way to tell Romina everything. He’ll tell her the truth.”
Bratty lapdog came over to console her partner in crime as she broke down. Romina was discussing with Carlos about what Jude wanted to tell her when Mini-Daniela came over and graced the scene with her usual, disrespectful, spoilt rotten attitude. As Jude joined them, a crazy, psychotic man snatched a security guard’s güñ and held Marga hostage, demanding that they bring him the doctor who had ‘k!lled’ his daughter.
The Mangubat brothers stood nearby watching the show. Hector was slowly reaching for his güñ discreetly as Romina and the others tried talking some sense into the psycho. Jude tried to dissolve the situation. The psycho glanced at Hector as he was attaching a silencer to his güñ. He then shoved Marga forward and pointed his güñ. Jude shielded Mini-Daniela with his body and Hector fired off a single büllët before running off with his brother.
“Uncle Jude, thank you,” Mini-Daniela sobbed.
The büllët stroke Jude in the back, and he went down. Meanwhile, at the autoshop, a glass cup fell from Myrna’s hand. Back in the hospital, the useless security guards let the psychotic man get away as Carlos was trying to talk Jude into hanging on.
A moment later, Jude was wheeled into a room to be treated. Carlos then called his irresponsible gambling addict of a father and asked him to come to the hospital because Jude had gotten shot. Marga was worried about her uncle and her dad asked her to have faith that he would be alright.
