Bianca Wows Her Audience,Victoria Covers Up Her Dirty Secret. Gabriel Takes Inspiration From Bianca. Following Another Tragic Incident, Carlos Comes To Bianca’s Aid. Roman Confronts Carlos & Bianca.
Isabel bombards Bianca with her coldness by charging her to show the proper etiquette when she’s being shown to the press and unveiled as the new endorser of TigerShark. Bianca is appalled to learn that she can’t show her teeth when she smiles. She puts up with Isabel’s nasty attitude and makes a ridiculous face at her as she turns to leave.
And so begins the press conference where Bianca strives to answer the questions she’s asked by some pressmen as formally as possible. Bianca gladly recounts how she had inherited her mother’s passion and talent for running. Her family and Gabriel’s take delight in cheering her on and she’s asked to share her rags-to-riches-story.
Bianca introduces herself and her mother, stating how she had learnt to swim, bike and run in Zambales. She then stresses on her dream of surpassing all of life’s challenges, noting her family’s “We are strong and determined! Go for gold!” slogan. She receives a warm reception and a clapping ovation by almost everyone.
Isabel in particular pierces Bianca with a disgusted look as she smiles at everyone with her usual showing of teeth. After the press conference, the Agbayanis have their reunion with Gabriel’s family and Bianca gladly joins them against protocol.
Carlos observes for a while before calling Bianca over to congratulate her for the successful conference. Carlos begins bombarding Bianca with questions about the people with her family and when she fills him in, he mentions how she seems to be close to Gabriel.
As he asks if she has any romantic connection with him, Gabriel also asks Maila if Bianca’s boss is her boyfriend. Maila clarifies matters and the others begin teasing him with how he seems to be jealous. After Bianca leaves to be interviewed by some reporters, Carlos orders Simeone to do a background check on Gabriel.
In no time, Isabel comes to confront him, asking about his intentions and insinuating that he might be in løvë with his protege. Carlos denies it and claims that he needs to know everything about Bianca because relationships could ruin her focus.
Upon learning that Victoria was a friend of Rigor’s, Lola Lydia decides to go and have a talk with her in hopes of getting to know of her son’s whereabouts. As Carlos demands that Isabel leave him alone since they’ve already broken up, Maila brings Lydia to see Victoria and Gabriel introduces himself as Rigor’s son before asking if she has any idea where his father is.
Victoria is stunned and rendered speechless for a while but once she recovers, she blabbers about how she had supposedly lost contact with Rigor after the SEA games. After she slips away, she reflects on the encounter in her room and cools down her uneasiness with red wine, saying to herself that “they must not know the truth”.
Gabriel approaches Bianca and bringing up the encounter with Victoria earlier, he goes on about his grandma’s undying hope of finding his father. Bianca subtly asks if he already has a girlfriend and Gabriel replies in the negative, stating that he’s waiting for something.
As Bianca presses him for answer’s, the rain begins to pour so she produces her umbrella to shelter them both. They both reflect on some memories from their childhood and before parting ways in such a dramatic way, Gabriel takes Bianca’s phone number though he doesn’t have a personal cellphone himself.
He returns to work the following day with a smiling face and his companions tease him with how he seems to be possessed or in løvë. Carlos celebrates with his team for a job well done and when his father later scolds him for it, Isabel jumps ship and backs him up much to Carlos’ disbelief.
Gabriel has a talk with his grandma about how far Bianca has come, stating that he’s going to use her as his inspiration to finish his studies and turn their lives around before he faces her. In the meantime, Roman charges Carlos to stop spending so much on Bianca if the situation has nothing to do with his campaign.
As fate will have it, Lolo Ben suffers another heart ättaçk and has to be rushed to the hospital. The doctor informs the Agbayanis that the old man needs to undergo an expensive operation and other expenses to boot.
Carlos shows up and upon learning of the situation, he promises to take care of all the bills and Bianca and her family express their utmost appreciation. Soon enough, they plan on how to pay him back, even pawning their jeep and all. Meanwhile, Carlos gets another scolding from his father for spending five hundred thousand on Bianca’s grandfather.
He demands that he pay the bill back to the company or else he would fire his protege. Later, Isabel pesters Carlos with questions about his relationship with Bianca and he makes it pretty clear that he’s not in løvë with her anymore so there’s no chance in hell they would ever get back together again. Isabel gets upset and scrams.
Isabel heads to her father’s place to seek refuge and comfort, only to be treated with indifference by Mr. Reyes on account of how she’s been rude and inconsiderate towards his wife. Isabel then throws a fit before storming off. Lola Ben has finally recovered and he apologizes to his family for the trouble he’s caused.
Bianca and her mother downplay the matter before the former promises to work very hard so they can repay their debt to sir Carlos. After another training session, Bianca asks Carlos about how his father had reacted to the money he had lent them and Carlos feeds her with a whole bunch of lies.
Ironic enough, Carlos receives a phone call from Roman just then, demanding to know why he had spent an additional 100,000 pesos on medicine. Carlos puts on an act and calmly receives his father’s insults in order to throw Bianca off so she doesn’t suspect a thing.
Once off the phone, Bianca goes on about how talented, kind and considerate Carlos is and he thanks her and urges her to drop the “sir” and start calling him by his name. Ironic enough, Gabriel later borrows someone’s cellphone to call Bianca’s number and he’s shocked to learn about Lola Ben’s condition and how his treatment amounts to about half a million.
He worries about how to help out, stating that he wouldn’t be able to make half of that money even if he sells his soul. Bianca says there’s no need to worry because sir Carlos took care of everything. Gabriel is taken by surprise. He worries about Carlos’ intention since he thinks there’s something suspicious about him.
Bianca doesn’t think so and believes that her boss and his family are good and actually like helping people. A moment later, Gabriel has a talk with Olsen about the matter and his buddy insinuates that Carlos had only helped out Bianca because he has a thing for her.
He says his rival is way ahead of him and Gabriel vows to catch up and meet him at the finish line. Roman informs Victoria about how he had caught one of his employees stealing from him, stating that he would make the person suffer before sending him to prison.
He’s upset to learn that Carlos has still not reimbursed the money he used. On their way to make a delivery, Gabriel plans to surprise Bianca with some flowers. At the training facility, Roman suddenly shows up with his wife to confront his son about the money he’s yet to pay.
Much to Carlos’ displeasure, Roman tells Bianca everything and asks if she can return investment for the company for everything they’ve spent on her, her grandpa’s hospital bills inclusive. Bianca says she would repay her debt with her earnings as TigerShark’s endorser and Roman makes it clear that she has to pay back everything, right from the stuff she uses for training to the food she eats.
As Carlos pleads that they talk about the matter at home, Gabriel shows up with Olsen who begins calling out Bianca’s name. Gabriel comes over and introduces himself as Bianca’s friend. As Bianca looks on nervously, Roman reluctantly shakes Gabriel’s hand after giving him a scrutinizing glance.
