Carlos Trains Bianca For The Long-awaited Event. Gabriel Has Firsthand Experience of Carlos’ Arrogance. Bianca Outshines Isabel & Finally Encounters Gabriel.
Roman has a talk with Carlos about the reservations he has about his campaign, particularly how he’s betting too much on his new endorser. Though Carlos believes Bianca would deliver and be able to help boost the sales of TigerShark, Roman second-guesses his decisions and reminds him for the zillionth time that it’s his last chance to make something happen.
Meanwhile, Bianca gladly informs her family about how the triathlon event would be held in Zambales, and they begin teasing her with Gabriel and plan to visit him there. As Bianca begins to wonder whether her childhood best friend still remembers her, Gabriel looks forward to meeting Bianca again.
Carlos introduces Bianca to coach Mona and that begins her training of becoming a triathlete. She’s taught how to swim and cycle mostly by Carlos as the coach observes. Isabel spies on them and isn’t the least bit happy but who cares? As expected, Bianca excels in the running stage and Carlos proceeds to educate her on the do’s and don’ts of a triathlon as well as her dieting.
Olsen informs Gabriel about the huge contest that would be taking place in Zambales in a few days, adding that they’ll definitely get a job. Gabriel is delighted with the prospect as long as the job isn’t something illegal that could end them in jail.
In no time, Gabriel and Olsen manage to secure the job of helping Simeone (Carlos’ assistant) prepare the areas where the runners would be using. Carlos soon arrives in Zambales and charges Simeone to make sure that the event becomes a success.
He is a little bit surprised to learn that Isabel had also signed up for the triathlon. He mentions that she might injure herself since she hasn’t trained for months. However, Isabel is complacent and wants to see how good Bianca really is. The next morning, Carlos snubs Gabriel after Simeone introduces him and Olsen as the local guides.
Gabriel goes after him and makes futile attempts to get him to listen to him. After trying out the swimming area, Carlos criticizes it and Olsen brands him as an arrogant, conceited, proud little brat! Gabriel decides to roll with it since they’ve already been paid for their jobs.
Carlos proceeds to try out the cycling track and asks for something more challenging. Without waiting for an answer, he begins running and Gabriel goes after him and strives to catch up. Later that night, Carlos commends Gabriel for how fast he was and Gabriel makes the mistake of stating that’s they’re alike because they’re both fast runners.
Carlos takes offense and belittles him, declaring that he’s not as fast as he is. Gabriel literally calls Carlos “arrogant” when he turns to leave. Carlos hears this and when he turns back to confront him, Gabriel downplays it and makes it seem like he had been referring to Olsen. Carlos takes Gabriel with him to pick up someone at the bus terminal.
That “someone” turns out to be Bianca who’s just arrived with her family. Ironically enough, Carlos drops Gabriel off near the bus terminal and gives him some loose change to get himself back to base. Gabriel begins complaining about how stingy the boss is.
As fate will have it, he happens to notice Bianca as Carlos picks her up along with her family. Gabriel looks on in disbelief, quite dumbfounded. Upon arriving at the hotel, Carlos leaves Bianca’s family in the care of his subordinates in order to brief Bianca about tomorrow’s event.
Isabel begins grumbling about the special treatment he’s giving his endorser and Carlos puts her in her place before ditching her to have dinner with Bianca.In the meantime, Gabriel tells Olsen about how he had seen a stunning woman at the terminal earlier who has a striking resemblance to Bianca.
Olsen thinks he’s losing it so he proposes that he forget about her and find a replacement from the countless babes they would see at tomorrow’s event. During dinner, Carlos has his eyes glued on Bianca and seems to be even more mesmerized by her when he learns that she doesn’t have a boyfriend and never has.
Gabriel has dinner with this grandma at home, rambling nonstop about Carlos’ arrogant personality. They both look forward to watching tomorrow’s triathlon. Gabriel brings up the woman he had seen earlier who looks like Bianca.
The Agbayanis visit their old neighborhood in search of Lola Lydia only to learn that she had relocated to a different town with her grandson after the disastrous typhoon. They return to the hotel and inform Bianca about it.
A moment later, Carlos gladly welcomes his mother when she arrives and when he asks of his father, Victoria tells him that he’s dealing with an emergency with one of the companies. Victoria has the unpleasant surprise of running into her “best friend” again.
Maila happily reunites with her so-called best friend who feeds her with some crappy excuse for avoiding her before. Maila likens their childhood to that of their children’s, stating that they (Maila and Victoria) might have been the same if she (Maila) hadn’t suffered the misfortune that had befallen her.
As Maila recounts the tragedies she’s been dealt with, namely the dëäth of her husband and her father’s sickness, it seems to take a toll on Victoria. Victoria suddenly comes up with a flimsy excuse to cut short their meeting and leave.
The next morning, Bianca joins the other athletes for the event, cradling the umbrella Gabriel had given her. Carlos comes over and takes the umbrella from Bianca, telling her to focus on the race while he keeps it for her.
A problem arises so he leaves the umbrella with Simone to attend to it and Simone in turn carelessly hands it over to one of the underlings. Final preparations are made for the event and as the athletes gather, Isabel deliberately bumps Bianca’s shoulder, apologizes and wishes her good luck like the witch that she is.
The competition officially begins with swimming, followed by cycling. Bianca takes the lead and maintains her position for a while until Isabel overtakes her. In no time, she catches up with Isabel and overtakes her on the running track.
Isabel ups her game as she catches up with Bianca with all she’s got and with the finish line at arm’s reach, she finishes as the winner while Bianca takes second place. Ironically, Bianca is celebrated all the more by Carlos and her family and Isabel observes with apparent jealousy.
Later, Bianca is distressed to learn that her “important” umbrella has been misplaced. As fate will have it, Gabriel finds it while sweeping with Olsen and some others outside.Bianca goes looking for her umbrella and inadvertently encounters Gabriel as the rain begins to pour.
They seek refuge under a tent and do a little catching up with each other. Gabriel commends her for winning second place in the competition and as they talk some more, Carlos shows up to fetch her for the press conference. Bianca exchanges goodbyes with Gabriel before leaving with her umbrella and Carlos.
