“Do you know what Hector did to my dad? Dad’s in the hospital because of that bästärd. Tell me the truth, did you order them to do that? You’d actually hurt my family just so I won’t expose what you did? Do you know he threatened to hurt Marga too? He threatened to hurt Marga next if I don’t do what he says.”
Myrna and Gino tried talking some sense into Kulas not to start gambling again. The misëräble one-eyed-old man only got upset. Carlos arrived with his things just then and announced that he had left home because his wife was such a pain in the ass.
Kulas ranted but eventually agreed to let him stay for a while. Nica tailed Mikoy at Navotas and relayed how poor he was to the rest of the squad, even how he rode a jeepney. Through the video call, the girls asked for proof and Nica tried to get a shot at Mikoy but the guy was nowhere to be found.
“Oh no, Nica,” Maureen began. “Are you troubled? Do you need someone to talk to?”
“What? No. There’s nothing wrong with me. I really saw him.”
Mikoy was smiling to himself, hiding and watching as Nica was driven away. “You think you can catch me, huh? Try harder.”
Kulas had abandoned all common sense and was gambling away every single dime he had. And he lost everything in the blink of an eye, just like that. Jessa convinced him to borrow some more money to gamble with. Kulas seemed to be considering the idea. (And here I thought the older folks were wiser than the younger generation. Guess I was wrong).
Marga arrived at her grandpa’s house a moment after Mikoy did. She asked her father why he had left home. Carlos told her that he was having problems with her mother.Marga tried to convince him to go home with her but Carlos wouldn’t budge. Mini-Daniela vowed not to forgive him if he chose to leave them for good. She then stormed off and Mikoy caught up with her and tried to talk some sense into her.
A fellow officer at the precinct advised Jude to follow the chief’s orders and let go of the case but Jude was determined to go ahead with it, certain that the Mangubat brothers were involved. The doctor told Romina that the blood bank had ran out of AB- blood. He suggested that they go to the red cross to get the blood type as soon as possible.
“What will we do now?” Neil asked.
“I will not let my daughter die,” Romina declared. “I’ll use all the resources I have.”
Marga told her mother about how hard she had tried to bring her dad home. Daniela blamed Romina for all her fights and falling outs with her husband, ranting on some much irrelevant nøñsënse I chose to ignore. Romina and Neil went to the red cross only to find that AB- blood had already ran out.
The attendant suggested that they ask around while they waited for the blood type to be replenished. Kristoff revealed Cassie’s current condition to Sir Wacky and he came up with the idea of holding an event for Cassie, in hopes of finding a donor among the guests.
Nadya called Marga and told her about the event at the diner to find a donor for Cassie. Jude went asking around about the Mangubat brothers, and an older man advised him to be careful because they were dangerous people. He then told him about the other cops who had been there and even raided their house before.
Roxy came over and talked nonstop about her life. “My friends haven’t even visited me here yet, not even Marga. But it’s funny cause her mom has.”
Jude was in disbelief. “Daniela has been here before?”
“Yes. She’s friends with my dad, so she visits him sometimes.”
Daniela went to the autoshop and tried to use Marga to emotionally blackmail Carlos to get back together with her. When that failed, she asked what she had to do in order to convince him to come back home, and Carlos told her to confess to all the crimes she had ever committed. “That will never happen,” Danny girl grumbled. “How many times do I have to tell you? I had nothing to do with Cassie’s accident.”
“Then I guess I have no choice. I’ll tell the police everything I know about what you did. I’m putting an end to all this.” (Yeah, right. As if you actually have the balls.)
At the gambling den, Hector mocked Kulas as he lost yet again. Daniela then called him and asked him to stop Carlos before he reported her to the police. Hector glanced at Kulas and smirked, a devious idea coming to mind. Meanwhile, some workers at Camila gave their support to Romina regarding her daughter’s situation.
Marga walked into the diner, surprised to see the Mean Squad at the event for Cassie. She asked whether they were planning to donate and Nica told her that they had come to expose her because they had found out that Mikoy wasn’t a rich kid after all. Marga called their bluff and Nadya dared her to call Michael and ask him to come to the diner.
“Fine,” Marga said, trying to walk out.
“Where are you going?” Nadya asked.
“I’m going to call Michael.”
“You can do it here, in front of us, so we can hear your conversation.”
Mikoy was closing up shop when he started reminiscing about his grandma, and how she had told him about his mother’s wish for him to study at Maxwell. “That’s impossible,” Mikoy said. “Isn’t that place just for rich kids?”
“Nothing is impossible for anyone who works hard,” grandma admonished. “If you graduate there, you’ll have a very bright future.”
A phone call came in, back to the present. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
“Hi, Michael. Can you come to the diner tonight?”
“Hey, Marga, why do you sound so sweet tonight?”
“It’s an emergency. I need someone to accompany me.”
Carlos pulled over at a parking lot near the police station and recalled his recent conversation with his daughter. He then got out of the car to stare at the police station as if it was some kind of tourist attraction. And off he went. Kulas was dragging Jessa along with him outside when he ran into Glen, the bouncer, as well as some other goons of Hector.
Glen reminded Kulas of the money he had lost. When the one-eyed-old man promised to pay him back later, the muscular man rewarded him with a punch to the belly. (Obviously, he either had no manners or didn’t have any grown ups at home. Funny, considering how old he looked).
“My son has a car shop,” Kulas groaned. “It’s registered in my name. I’ll give it to you. Just don’t hurt us, okay?” (Oops. Another dumb move by ‘dumblors’, aka Carlos. Registering your business in the name of your gambling addict of a father? How much more dumb can you get??)
“You’ll give us a car shop? How about I give you this?” Glen beat up grandpa Kulas some more.
Grandpa Kulas promised to pay back but Glen however ordered the other goons to have their way with him. It was a free-for-all punching and kicking practice, and Kulas was the punching bag. (Why wasn’t I invited to the party? I could have volunteered myself to beat some sense into the misëräble one-eyed-old man).
Cassie told her mother that she knew what was happening. She asked her not to worry, saying that it would be over soon. She pleaded with her mother not to push herself too hard even if she had always been there for her.
“I’m not losing hope in you, mamma.”
“We will find you a donor. Just promise me you won’t give up no matter what. Hang in there until I find someone who can help you.”
Carlos went to the precinct and announced that he had information regarding Cassie’s accident. Back at the hospital, Romina received a call from the chief, telling her about the new witness. She then gladly relayed the information to her daughter. Meanwhile, Gino called Carlos and told him about their dad being at the hospital.
At the autoshop, Mikoy had dressed up and was pondering over how Marga had called him Michael, instead of Mikoy. Romina arrived at the precinct and asked about the witness, and an officer told her that he had already left. (What I tell you? Dumblors didn’t have the balls!)
“Did you at least get his name?” Mina asked.
“Carlos,” said the officer. “Carlos Bartolome.”
Romina looked on in shock. (Yep. Why do you seem so surprised? It was your dumb dumb ex. I wonder what you saw in him in the first place). At the diner, Kristoff performed and reminisced about his memories with Cassie as Marga looked on, downcast. She walked out and the Mean Squad followed and asked whether Michael was really coming.
A van pulled over as the girls started teasing her. The driver opened the door to reveal Mikoy’s smiling face, much to Marga’s amazement. And the squad. Marga walked off with Mikoy as Nica was left in disbelief. Carlos arrived at the hospital and asked his father what had happened, and Myrna told him that the guy he was owing at the gambling den had beat him up. A phone call came in and Carlos went out to answer. “Who is this?”
“Carlos. Did you like my gift?”
“Hector?”
“We’ll let your father live if you don’t speak up.”
“You messed with the wrong person. You don’t scare me. I’ll make you pay for what you did.” (Yeah, right).
“Really? Strong words coming from you. Let’s see how tough you think you are. Who should we go after next? Your mother? Your brothers? Or your daughter?”
“Don’t you drag Marga into this.”
Hector scoffed. “I’m an easygoing guy. Just don’t say anything, and we won’t hurt your daughter. Got it?”
The line went dead. Myrna and Gino came over and Carlos asked them to take care of Kulas while he went to fetch Marga. Back at the event at the diner, the Mean Squad asked Marga why Michael sometimes looked average and had ordinary taste. Mini-Daniela spouted some words she didn’t quiet believe in herself.
Kristoff came over with Mikoy and made known their intention of having her vlog about how Cassie needed a blood donor to her fans. Mini-Daniela eventually went through with it, eyeing Kristoff like he was some kind of prize or reward waiting to be claimed. (Ewww ). Romina and Bonita discussed about Carlos and the possibility of him knowing something about Cassie’s accident. Romina went ahead when Bonita suggested that she call nanny to ask about her.
“Carlos wasn’t at the mansion,” Mina said after the call. “That can only mean one thing – he knows something.”
“Who’s car were you in earlier?” Marga asked back at the diner.
“It was from the garage,” Mikoy whispered. “I was so lucky Gino let a mechanic drive me here.”
“At least you’re smarter than you look.”
“Don’t underestimate me. Why are you with those three party poopers? We almost got caught.”
Marga then had a call from her father, telling her to get out of the diner. He made her give her phone to Mikoy, then told him to make sure Marga was safe and to meet him at Kulas’ house later on. Romina went to Kulas’ house to ask Carlos about Cassie’s accident since he had gone to the police station earlier to testify, only to have disappeared suddenly like a bad bad dream.
Carlos was as mute as a dumb as Mina tried to coax him into answering her barage of questions. Mini-Daniela arrived with Mikoy and Mina left since daddy dearest was determined to be as dumb as ever.
The Mangubat brothers discussed about the current situation with the Bartolomes. Hector was hopeful of having a chance with Daniela since she wasn’t together with Carlos anymore. Roxy came over and told her father about Jude’s visit earlier. Hector then ordered her not to allow anyone in the house anymore, especially policemen.
Marga hounded her father with endless questions about the recent happenings. Carlos tried talking some sense into her, saying that he was just worried about her. (If he only had some sense left to share).Mini-Daniela went through her phone to book a cab back home, then went ahead to guilt-trip her father into coming back home with her to protect her.
She was over the moon when Carlos gave in and decided to get his things. Marga arrived happily at the mansion with her father, and was made to leave for her room after her dearest mommy had promised not to let their family fall apart. Carlos stopped playing nice and snubbed Daniela as soon as their daughter was out sight.
A moment later, Carlos was packing up his things when Daniela came and tried to stop him.Carlos shoved Danny girl away. “Let me go! Do you know what Hector did to my dad?” Carlos grabbed his dearest wife. “They beat him up. Dad’s in the hospital because of that bästärd.” (So what? At least he still has one eye left. Mtchewww).
“Carlos… you’re hurting me.”
“Tell me the truth, did you order them to do that?”
“Carlos, let me explain. I had nothing to do with it.” (And I’m the grandson of Santa Claus).
“You’d actually hurt my family just so I won’t expose what you did?” (Nah, that’s just a preview. Wait until she cuts off your non-existent balls).
“Surely you don’t believe that, Carlos.”
“Shut up, Daniela! I’m sick and tired of your lies.” (Someone’s getting over-emotional. Chill out, dumblors. It’s not as if your dearest wife had your dad räpëd. Wait, is she considering the idea? Ewww. That’s disgusting).
“I swear I’m telling the truth. I have no control over what Hector does. Please believe me. I had nothing to do with it.” (If you say so, Danny girl. If you say so).
Carlos then dropped the bombshell. “Do you know he threatened to hurt Marga too? He threatened to hurt Marga next if I don’t do what he says.” Carlos went back to packing as Danny girl looked on vengefully.
