“It’s you and your family who has no business being here, Daniela. Who are you to insult my daughter that way? Just in case you’ve forgotten, I own this mansion. So if I were you, I’d do my best to hide the wings and horns. Why would I wanna stoop down to your level? What am I, stüpïd? And next time, don’t stand in my way. Or I will run you over.”
Carlos was standing by the poolside when Daniela came over to him and tried to coax him back inside. He asked if she really had to make an issue out of everything and Daniela told him that she was only fighting for what was hers. Carlos tried reasoning with her, pointing out the fact that her constant fights with Romina were affecting their daughter. Daniela met up with Savannah the next morning, complaining about how Carlos was still mad at her. “I need a plan to win back Carlos. I løvë him. I can’t go on like this.”
“Why don’t you try having another baby with him?” Savvy suggested. “You finally got him when you got pregnant with Marga. Why not do it a second time?”
Alvin met up with Romina and demanded for 5 million in exchange for everything he knew about her räpë case. Romina told him that she could even triple the amount if only he could tell her the name of the man who räpëd her. Alvin revealed to her that there had been another man at the cabin that fateful night.
“Did you find out who he was?” Romina asked.
“No,” Alvin replied.
Mina got up from her seat. “In that case, we’re done here. You’re just wasting my time.”
“But I do know where it all happened because I brought you there myself.”
“In case you’ve forgotten, I have the testimonies of all the people you bribed before. I know where it all happened too.”
“Well, you said it yourself. They were bribed. How sure are you that they were telling the truth? You only need me, Romina. Only Daniela and I know where I brought you, so how do you think that man knew where to go?”
Romina fished out a pen. “Then start talking, Alvin.”
Gino told his father about Marga’s endorsement and her parents going there to support her. Kulas was excited and he asked whether they had also been invited since he also wanted to cheer her on. Gino however pointed out to him that there was no one else available to take care of the car shop. Mikoy was playing a guitar nearby and Gino suggested to his father that he send her granddaughter some flowers instead, through Mikoy. After Kulas had given Mikoy some money to buy the best flowers for Marga, Gino questioned him about the clothes he was going with.
“They still look pretty clean,” Mikoy argued.
“You look like you haven’t changed since yesterday,” Gino stated.
“Come on, it’s not about the clothes. It’s about the attitude, Gino.”
“Attitude? They’ll think you’re a pickpocket.” Gino took Mikoy home to go dress him up.
Jepoy pulled over at an undisclosed location, and Romina got out of the car and stared at the hut/cabin where her nightmare had began. A phone call came in as she was heading inside. “Hello, Bonita?”
“Romina, where are you? I have some documents for you to sign.”
“Just leave it on my desk. I’m taking care of something important.”
“Okay. It’s not too urgent anyway. Where are you? I can’t hear you clearly.”
“Where it all started.”
“Huh?” Bonita said in confusion.
Romina hanged up and made her way into the hut. She surveyed the area and flashed back to the incident that night. A moment later, she exited the hut and asked some men about it’s owner, and they told her that no one had lived in it for years. She then asked how long it had been since someone had lived they and they told her that they weren’t sure.
“Thanks anyway,” Mina said.
“But I did see a man looking at that house once.”
“Do you know who it was?”
“No, ma’am. But he looked like an out of towner. He just got out of his car, and he stood right in front of the house. He didn’t do anything though.”
“Alright. Thank you.”
Daniela and Carlos arrived at the endorsement launch and started arguing in no time. Meanwhile, Mikoy was all dressed up, bearing flowers. The Mean Squad congratulated Marga on her endorsement. As Mikoy was coming in, Nadya asked about the guy she had said she liked and Marga claimed that the guy couldn’t make it.
“Really? Or maybe he just doesn’t exist,” Nadya teased.
Marga looked on, devoid of any comebacks. Mikoy came over with the flowers and handed them to Marga. “Excuse me,” Nica said. “And you are?”
“Marga’s suitor.”
Marga turned to stare at Mikoy in disbelief as Mikoy smiled down at her. She then dragged him out of the girls’ earshot. “What the hell? My suitor?”
“Just smile,” Mikoy whispered. “They’re watching us.”
“This is stüpïd. What’s gotten into you? Why’d you tell them that?”
“I heard your conversation earlier. Are you sure those girls are your friends?”
“It’s none of your business. You shouldn’t have done that. Who would ever believe that you’re my suitor? Have you looked in the mirror lately? You’re not my type.”
“Next time, I’m gonna wash your mouth out with soap,” Mikoy grumbled. “Who says you’re my type? I just did that so they’ll leave you alone.”
“I see. So you did that out of pity. I don’t need your pity, Mikoy.”
Cassie came in with Kristoff as Marga was walking away. She congratulated her on her endorsement and Marga said no one could steal the spotlight from her this time. She then introduced Mikoy to them as her suitor to save face. Romina and Bernard went to see a chairman to ask about the cabin/hut. The man told Romina that the vicinity of the hut didn’t have any security cameras. Mina asked whether there was any nearby establishments with security cameras.
“There are security cameras inside of the market,” the man said. “But it’s very far from the hut.” He then excused himself for a while since he was needed outside.
“Romina, what are we going to do now?” Bernard asked.
“Bernard, we need to do what we can to find that man. I have a feeling he had something to do with what happened to me.”
“It’s also possible that he was just a passerby.”
“Even if we aren’t sure that he knows something, I still want to talk to him. This is the only lead that we’ve got.”
“Chairman, you think you can get some information on that man?” Bernard asked as he rejoined them in the office.
Alvin looked on from where he sat outside. Back at the launch, Marga stopped Mikoy as he was leaving. She asked him to stay since she had introduced him as her boyfriend. Mikoy was upset with Mini-Daniela’s earlier treatment. “You’re the one who introduced yourself first as my suitor,” Marga argued.
“Then take it back. It’s not a problem.”
” You’re so impossible. How can I take it back? I’ll look like an idïøt for saying you’re my suitor.”
Mikoy was amused. “Ah, so you don’t wanna look like an idïøt, but it’s fine if I do. Did you fall and hit your head?”
Marga grabbed Mikoy’s hand as he started walking away. “Who told you to leave? You really want to humiliate me, huh?”
“Do I look like I care?” Mikoy forcefully broke free of her hold.
“Fine. Don’t ever show your face to me.”
“If you don’t wanna see me, close your eyes.”
“Sure. That will be better than seeing your stüpïd face.”
The band’s vocalist hadn’t been able to make it to the event so Marga tried to coax Kristoff into having himself hired for the night. Hector caught his daughter going out and he asked where she was off to. Roxy told him that today was Marga’s endorsement launch, and she was going to support her since she was her friend.
“When did Marga ever treat you like a friend?” Hector asked. “Wake up and smell the roses, Roxy.”
“Come on. Please. Look, even Cassie’s there.” Roxy showed her father a photo where Daniela could be seen sitting in the background.
“Fine. I’ll go get changed. Wait for me.”
“Why?”
“I’m going with you.”
“What for?”
“What’s with all the questions? You might get into all sorts of trouble. Remember last time? Marga ordered you around. I’m going with you. Wait for me.”
Back at the launch, Kristoff performed much to the cheers of everyone. Marga’s endorsement video was shown before she was called on stage to bask in the moment. In the audience, Daniela told her husband that she was proud of their daughter because she had fulfilled her dream at such a young age. Carlos was quiet and she asked whether he wasn’t proud to see their child succeed.
“No parents wouldn’t be proud to see their child’s success,” Carlos said. “Our princess. She grew up so fast I barely noticed. I used to carry her in my arms.”
“Marga will always be our baby, Carlos, but now that she’s all grown up…I think it’s time we gave her a sibling.”
Carlos found the suggestion laughable. Daniela took her husband’s hand. “I’m serious, Carlos. I think it’s the perfect time for us to have another baby.”
“You can’t even handle Marga. And now you want another baby you can spoil like her?”
“Are you saying I’m a bad parent?”
“I’m just telling the truth, Daniela. It’s hard enough for you to keep an eye on her, let alone another baby.”
“Here I thought this was a marriage.”
“Why are you getting angry? I’m just telling the truth. Can’t you see what’s happening to our daughter? Our daughter almost died, Daniela. We don’t even know if it was really an accident or she meant to do all that, so I hope that answers your question.”
Marga descended the stage and the Mean Squad congratulated her and asked about the guy from earlier. The lies flooded out of Mini-Daniela’s mouth like a preacher who had already prepared her sermon beforehand. “He had to leave early. He’s meeting his parents who are leaving for the US.”
Cassie came over with Kristoff. “Congratulations, Marga. Where’s Michael? Did he leave?”
“Marga said he did already,” Nadya revealed. “Something about meeting the parents.”
“How did you two meet, Marga?”
And the lies goes on. “We just met recently. He just moved to Manila to study. His family has a huge import export business in Davao. He even invited me to visit their plantation, but I still have to ask mom and dad.”
“Wow, so he’s a rich kid too, Marga?” Nica asked.
Nadya turned to Cassie. “I’m sure you know him, Cassie. Especially since you and Marga live under one roof.”
“I can’t say I do, Nadya. Marga never told me anything about him either.”
“Why will I tell you anything?” Marga bitçhëd. “Are we close?”
Carlos congratulated his daughter and told her that he had to leave. Marga got upset as she was called for autograph signings. Daniela argued with Carlos over his decision to leave on their daughter’s big day. Carlos reminded her that he was not a CEO before storming out.
Hector arrived with his daughter as the autograph signing was about to begin. Daniela confronted him after Roxy went to join the crowd, and he told her that he had come with his daughter to support hers. He then suggested that they go out for dinner to celebrate, but Daniela wouldn’t hear any of it.
Romina gave Alvin a cheque. Alvin said it wasn’t the amount they had agreed on, and Romina told him that he would have to help her find the man who had really räpëd her if he wanted the rest of the amount they had agreed on. Back at the launch, Marga approached Cassie and spouted her usual nøñsënse, vowing to prove to everyone that she was better than her.
Kristoff put Mini-Daniela in her place, telling her that he and Cassie had come to support her but they wouldn’t have even bothered had they known this was how she was going to act. A rep from a modeling agency who had been blown away by Kristoff’s performance earlier came to give him her business card and invited him to the upcoming music festival.
Roxanne approached Cassie and apologized again for having deceived her. Cassie told her that what was done was done and the important thing was that they already knew the truth that they were not related in anyway. Marga came to unleash her verbal abuse. In her office at Camila, Neil and Bonita expressed their distrust for Alvin. Romina told them that she couldn’t be sure since she didn’t know what Alvin’s motive really was, and Neil pointed out to her that he was obviously in it for the money.
“I’m sure money isn’t the only reason for approaching me,” Mina said.
“I don’t like that look on your face,” Neil commented. “It’s obvious that you’re planning something again.”
“If Alvin wants to make a game out of this, then I’ll play along. If he thinks he can trick me, he’s sadly mistaken. I will keep leading him on until he brings down Daniela’s downfall himself.”
Jepoy entered the office as Bonita told Romina that she couldn’t possibly find anything in the old hut since so many years had passed. Mina said she had to trace down all the details of that night, including the statements of Alvin’s witnesses during the trial. “Didn’t they get that guy’s caretaker to testify for them?” Jepoy prompted. “The tricycle driver who brought you to the hospital too. And they might know something too.”
“Don’t tell me you’ll go looking for them,” Neil added. “Alvin paid those to make it look like you came willingly. I’m sure all of their statements were all made up.”
Romina thought for a second. “Neil, the hospital staff, they must have seen the person who took me to the hospital that day.”
Some reporters congratulated Daniela on her daughter’s endorsement and asked if she would be Camila’s next model, and Daniela told them that it was a possibility. She then invited them to ‘her house’ for a celebratory dinner. Hector came over after Daniela had dismissed the press. He asked whether he was also invited to the dinner and Danny girl told him that she wouldn’t risk straining her relationship with her husband for someone like him.
“I don’t know what that idïøt has that’s keeping you chained to him,” Hector lamented. “He doesn’t even treat you right.”
“And since when was that any of your business?”
“I just don’t get why a woman like you will put up with a man like him. You can replace him just like that.”
“But I’ll never do that. I actually løvë my husband, and I’ll never trade him for someone else. Especially not someone like you.” Daniela’s handbag handle broke loose as she made ready to leave. Hector offered to help her with it but she turned him down. “Focus on your daughter if that’s really what you came here for.”
At the autoshop, Kulas asked his son why he had left Marga’s event and Carlos told him that he had nothing else to do there. Jude mentioned that there was nothing for him to do at the shop either and Myrna asked whether he had left the event early because something had happened. “Daniela kept annoying me,” Carlos began. “Saying the dumbest things. So I thought it’d be better if I left before we got on each other’s nerves.”
“Don’t tell me you two are fighting again because of Romina,” Kulas cut in.
“Dad, Daniela wants to have another kid. That’s why she’s been pestering me.”
“So? It could help mend your relationship.”
“More like it’ll strain our relationship further. I mean, we can’t even discipline Marga, why would we have another kid? You know the reason why we’re fighting, and you wanna drag another kid into this?”
“Carlos, can you not give your wife another second chance?” Mryna asked.
“How can I give her another chance when she doesn’t even want to correct her mistakes? I’m not looking to play the idïøt here, mom.”
At the mansion, Daniela and Mini-Daniela were both flaunting their so-called honors to some reporters when Cassie arrived home. The press asked her to join them but she declined. They complimented her on her looks and asked whether she would consider being an endorser like Marga.
Mother and daughter started bïtçhiñg about how Cassie was adopted and born out of wedlock. Cassie left for her room after turning down another offer to be an endorser. Mikoy returned the clothes he had borrowed from Gino. Gino asked how the event had gone and he told him that he had left the event early as soon as he had delivered the flowers.
“You should have grabbed something to eat,” Gino said. “I’m sure the food was delicious.”
“I don’t think I would have enjoyed the food. Your niece is a piece of work. She is pretty but she has a rotten personality.”
“Marga’s nice. She’s just going through a lot, that’s why she’s moody. To make matters worse, her parents are having problems.”
“Well, as my grandma told me, we should not take our frustrations on other people.
“Mikoy, not everyone grew up like you, that’s why I want her to have a friend like you so she can gain a new perspective on life and learn to be grateful.”
“I met her friends last night. They looked filthy rich and snobby too. I really don’t think I can be friends with your niece. But maybe I can be her servant.”
Daniela confronted Cassie in her room and asked where she was going. Cassie told her she was going to the kitchen to help nanny Esther prepare dinner. Danny girl spouted some nøñsënse and said that she wouldn’t allow her to leave her room as long as the reporters were downstairs.
“I’ve already accepted the fact that you’ll never accept me,” Cassie said. “But that doesn’t mean I have to do whatever you say.”
“You’re answering back too? You are simply an intruder. You and your mother have no right to live here.”
Romina stalked in and stood protectively before her daughter. “It’s you and your family who has no business being here, Daniela. Who are you to insult my daughter that way?”
A guy sneaked into the Cartolome autoshop and stole Carlos’s safe. Mikoy caught him as he was making his way out. An altercation ensued and the older man quickly bested the young boy. Carlos arrived on the scene and the guy was forced to flee after a brief struggle.
“Are you okay?” Carlos asked.
“I’m good, boss,” Mikoy replied. “But that bästärd wanted to steal your money.”
“You’re hurt.” Carlos helped Mikoy into the office. Back in Cassie’s room, Romina and Daniela were still locking horns. Danny girl said she was only trying to discipline her daughter since they insisted that she was her sister. Romina told her to drop the ‘caring sister act’ because she only recognized Cassie as her sister when it benefited her.
“You were simply my father’s charity case,” Danny girl spat. “So your daughter’s my own little charity case.”
“How can I be a charity case when you’re the one living in my house? Just in case you’ve forgotten, I own this mansion. So if I were you, I’d do my best to hide the wings and horns.”
Romina turned to her daughter after Daniela had left with her tail between her legs. “You should come to me if Daniela does this to you again. I won’t allow her to insult you inside our own house. And what was she even doing here?”
“She told me to stay here until their guests leave. I didn’t even have any plans of joining them. I just wanted to help nanny Esther prepare dinner for us.”
A moment later, Romina came down the stairs with Cassie and made herself known as the owner of the house. A reporter asked her about the charges she had filed about the person who had shot her before. Romina said she had nothing to worry about because the police were taking care of the case. Romina congratulated Marga. Soon, the reporters’ attention were focused on Cassie again.
“We believe that Cassie can become an endorser if she wanted to,” a reporter said. “We’re planning to form an all girl group of influencers.”
“Wow, thank you,” Mina said. “But that’s for Cassie to decide.”
“Don’t you wanna at least consider it, Cassie?”
“Thank you, but I don’t wanna focus on that right now,” Cassie replied while Mini-Daniela rolled her eyes.
Daniela confronted Romina as she excused herself and started leaving with her daughter. “How dare you? No matter how hard you try, you’ll never be on my level.”
Romina gave Danny girl a look. “Why would I wanna stoop down to your level? What am I, stüpïd? And next time, don’t stand in my way. Or I will run you over.”
