Araceli Is K!lled In Broad Daylight. Emman Chases The Assassin. Celine Returns To A. Hernandez. Amelia & Anton Vow To Avenge Their Mother.
Celine talks to her mother on the phone regarding her return to the Hernandez house to take care of Lester. Linda states that she missed Lester and Arnold and løvë them all the same in spite of everything. Celine relates with her as she mentions that both boys shouldn’t be affected by what their family did because they had nothing to do with it.
Once off the phone, Celine watches the live broadcast of the press conference taking place at the DNS. Anton and Amelia also watch from the holding area inside the DNS. General Chavez opens the floor for questions and the journalists question his integrity and association with the Hernandezes, insinuating that he might be covering up for them like rumours say.
General Chavez insists that he’s innocent of the allegations against him and he would prove so to everyone and clear his name. A random journalist calls out to Emman and actually asks him how he feels about facing the woman who possibly masterminded the kidñappiñg and k!lling of his son Robbie. Emman doesn’t say squat.
Dr. Araceli admits to being the mastermind of the syndicate but denies any involvement with what had happened to Robbie. The journalists begin bombarding her with questions about Robbie and the whereabouts of the other children in the custody of the syndicate, and Araceli rambles some nøñsënse to justify the sacrificing of the children for others whom she deems as more important, to live.
When questioned about Anton and Amelia, Araceli insists that they have absolutely nothing to do with the syndicate or her crimes, even adding that they all have a clear conscience. She then notes that she’ll soon start mentioning the names of the people who run the syndicate alongside herself.
Just then, Franco, the disguised journalist pulls out his güñ and shoots Araceli. He then begins to flee as chaos and pandemonium unfolds. Leo cries out for a medic but it’s already too late as Araceli succumbs to her wound. Amelia and Anton hurry to their mother’s side and begin to lament over her now-dead body.
Emman chases after the suspect to the roadside where he cuts off his escape by holding him at güñpøint. Unfortunately, he’s knocked down by a van which disguised Franco makes his escape in. Sam hurries to Emman’s aid. Amelia and Anton go to see their mother’s body at the funeral home. Anton vows to find their mother’s k!ller and k!ll the person.
Emman has been admitted at the hospital and the doctor assures his family that they have nothing to worry about because his injuries are minor. Caloy feels guilty for not being able to help him out because they weren’t on good terms. At home, Amelia sadly handles Araceli’s dress and reflects on how she had designated her power and position to her.
Colonel Manzano watches the CCTV footages with an irate General Chavez who whines about the fallout of the mürdër right inside the DNS building. He demands for the suspect to be caught and Gabo assures him that he would let him know as soon as they find anything from the CCTV tapes.
At the NIA, Sam watches the CCTV footages with Marcelo and a few others and orders them to track down the van. Araceli has been laid in state and Amelia cries over her mother’s dëäd body. Over the phone, she lashes out at Leo and blames him for not pushing through with the escape plan. She then charges him to find out who k!lled her mother.
Arnold heads to the chapel for his mother’s wake and he’s hounded by reporters. Anton makes the save and tries in vain to dismiss the media. Amelia then comes over and in such a dramatic way, she asks for them to show a little respect. As Celine and Emman watch the live broadcast, Amelia outright denies any involvement with the syndicate but Emman won’t be taken for a føøl as he vows to expose all their lies.
Inside the chapel, Amelia and Anton resume their grieving. Anton worries that one of their partners might be responsible for their mother’s dëäth and he makes a solemn vow to get revenge. In his office, General Chavez watches the CCTV footages during and after the assassination of Araceli and he smirks for some reason.
The secretary comes to inform Leo that a higher-up General from the office of the chief of staff demands his presence for an immediate meeting. Sam comes to check up on Emman and so does Caloy. Emman asks if he’s still upset with him and Caloy replies in the negative and tells him to forget about it. Sam asks the very same question and Caloy brushes it off too.
General Chavez meets up with the superior General who questions him about the syndicate case and how the investigations have been going. Leo is warned to end the matter as soon as possible since all their reputations are on the line. Celine offers her condolences to Anton and acknowledges that his mother’s mürdër had been uncalled-for in spite of her çriminal activities.
Anton laments over how he and the others left behind are suffering and Celine states that everything will end one day, adding that those who have committed crimes need to be punished. While Sam updates Emman about the ongoing investigations, Anton is relieved to learn that his sister had allowed Linda to take care of Lester for the time being.
Amelia mentions that Celine might never stop suspecting them and that Linda probably suspects them too. Anton suggests that to ease their suspicions about them, they should just give Celine what she wants. Incredulous, Amelia refuses to pacify Celine as her top priority is to find her mother’s k!ller.
Emman has been discharged from the hospital and to make sure that he follows through with all of the doctor’s instructions, Sam has him wheeled out of the hospital and insists on driving him home. Analyn comes to see Arnold to extend her condolences and apologize for how she’s been avoiding him on account of the scandal involving his mother.
Celine returns to A. Hernandez Hospital to work there again and she’s warmly received since a lot of nurses had quit to avoid the fallout of the scandal involving Araceli and the syndicate. Celine makes her fellow nurses believe that she’s returning because she’s come to realize that Anton and Amelia had no hand in their mother’s çriminal ways.
While Amelia mourns, Leo and his wife Clarissa come to sympathize with her. Nestor lingers outside the chapel. Back inside, Clarissa takes note of a particular picture of Araceli which had been taken during Amelia’s graduation from med school. Amelia goes on about how her mother had regarded her as a failure especially in her relationships with men.
Clarissa says she isn’t to blame because it’s her ex-husband who was worthless. Still, Amelia recounts how Araceli had treated her differently since her childhood, adding that she had just been teaching her to be strong and preparing her for today. Meanwhile , alleged worthless ex-husband Nestor continues to linger outside the chapel, consciously looking around.
