All according to Hector’s plan to divert attention away from him, Romina is arrested and detained for the dëäth of her own husband after some questionable characters make incriminating statements against her.
Scene 1:
“I heard her say she’d push him before k!lling him,” a guy said. “He even got wounded. She’s a çrazy woman.”
Scene 2 :
“Are you referring to this woman?” the officer asked, showing the old woman a photo of Romina.
“Yes, I saw her exiting a car,” the old woman replied. “She even asked me what was going on then.”
“Was anyone accompanying her when you saw her?”
“She was by herself at that time. But I still remember. She was talking to a man as well.”
Scene 3 :
“I wouldn’t hide the fact that I went there,” Mina said to the officer. “Besides, we sorted things out before the incident. I have no reason to k!ll him.”
“Before the victim died, he finalized his will,” the officer began. “It stated that majority of his properties will go to you. Were you aware of that, madam? Please tell the truth.”
“No,” Romina said in disbelief. “I didn’t know about the inheritance.”
“But you’re his wife,” the officer argued. “You stand to gain a fortune.”
“I never cared about my husband’s money,” Mina declared. “I worked hard for everything I have now. I grew up poor, so I can easily go back to that life. I would never hurt Robert just because of money. You should be interrogating Daniela because she’s the one who has always wanted his money.”
“That’s not what a witness claimed, madam. He said you ordered him to plant a bømb on Mr. Mondragon’s helicopter.”
“What?”
Flashback : “I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t wanna k!ll anyone,” said the scoundrel sent by Hector. “But I was desperate. My family really needed the money.”
“Tell us whose orders you were following,” the officer demanded.
“It was Romina Mondragon.” Present : Romina sprang up to her feet. “That’s not true! He’s obviously lying! I’ve never even heard of him. They’re accusing me of k!lling my husband. For God’s sake, this has to be a setup!”
“Someone saw you at the crime scene,” the officer said.
“What?”
“We’re currently searching your house for evidence linking you to the crime.”
“They won’t find anything because I’m innocent.”
At the Mansion, a K9 unit officer searched Romina’s car with the assistance of his dog. (A K-9 unit is a specialized group of law enforcement officers who use service dogs to perform the responsibilities of a general police officer). The officer found some powdery residue. “Positive,” he said.
“What’s going on?” Nana Esther asked.
“It’s positive for an ingredient used to make explosives,” confirmed the officer. Eventually, Romina is charged for the dëäth of her husband due to the evidence found in her car. And now, without her stepmother to stand in her way, Daniela immediately takes over the Mondragon Mansion. Her unforgivable animosity knowing no bounds, Marga seizes Cassie’s room and drives her down to the maid quarters.
