Jack Holds Onto Jenny Till The End. The Lins & The Hongs Mourn Their Losses & Finally Reunite. The Gaos Make Peace. Ethan Weds Pauline. Windsor Weds Pinky.
Jenny writes a letter to Jack and Pinky before she calls the Hong villa. Shawn picks up on the other line but Jenny doesn’t say anything. Betsy takes the receiver from him and hangs up when the caller doesn’t respond to her greeting. Jenny cries silently at her end.
A moment later, Betsy receives a phone call from the police. At the Gao residence, the police show Shannon a piece of evidence they had found on a certain suspect. A flashback reveals how Shannon had gone looking for Windsor desperately, only to be ättaçked by the crooked man. Presently, she identifies the suspect as the one who ättaçked her.
Betsy tries to unleash her anger and frustration on the misëräble guy and Shirlene holds her off as an officer takes the suspect away. The other officer reveals how they had suspected that Jack wasn’t at fault but they had decided to play along since he had turned himself in. When asked of Jack’s whereabouts, he merely says he can’t divulge that information but believes that he would return home soon enough.
Betsy exchanges some choice words with Giselle before leaving and Shirlene apologizes to her for her mother’s unnecessary behavior. Giselle relates with Shirlene and thanks her for how well she had treated Pauline all along. After she also leaves, Shannon apologizes to her mother for all the trouble she had caused her and her brother.
Pinky receives a phone call from Shirlene and she’s delighted to learn that the police have caught Shannon’s actual āssäulter. Pinky gladly tries to call Jenny to inform her of the good news but for some reason, Jenny deliberately doesn’t answer her phone.
In no time, Jenny walks by the seaside and recounts how she had watched Pinky get swallowed up by the ocean. She expresses remorse for not coming to her aid and goes on about how she’s tired and wants to reunite with her already departed parents. And with that, she begins to walk into the ocean sadly.
Jack returns to the hotel room to meet Jenny’s absence. After reading Jenny’s goodbye letter, he hurries out of the room agitatedly to find her walking into the depths of the ocean. Jack runs after her and she tells him to go back since their son Shawn needs him.
Jack refuses to let Jenny die in the cold ocean and begins struggling with her. As fate will have it, Jenny ends up falling into the water. Pinky goes to collect the photos Jenny had taken with her family earlier and she’s taken by surprise to see a black and white photo among the lot. The Hongs receive copies of the photos and they take delight in a particular one.
Meanwhile, Jack desperately tries to save Jenny but she frustrates his efforts even as he holds onto her hand. In spite of Jenny’s pleas, Jack refuses to let go of her hand. Eventually, they both begin to sink into the ocean. Jenny reflects on some memories with Jack who also does same and expresses remorse for being unable to løvë Jenny the way she deserved.
Jack reflects on some memories with Pinky leading up to their marriage and falling out and he expresses remorse for not staying with her back then.Pinky returns home with the black and white picture Jenny had taken and sadly tells her family that she had taken it for her funeral while taking family pictures.
The Lins begin worrying about how Jenny might be faring. Pinky soon receives a phone call about Jenny and Jack that leaves her shocked. Shirlene is devastated to learn of what had befallen her brother and sister-in-law. The disheartening news takes a toll on Gordon and when Betsy presses for answers, Shirlene tells her that Jack and Jenny had both drowned in the ocean.
Betsy is inconsolable and in denial. Pauline and Windsor inform Miss Gao of what had befallen Jack and Jenny. Pinky stands at the seashore and recounts the misfortunes Jenny had suffered, going on about how she had already forgiven her long ago. She relates and sympathizes with Jenny and hopes that they become best friends again in their next life.
Windsor shows up as Pinky cries and when she tries to walk out on him, he calls out to her and apologizes for what he had done to her. Before Pinky can respond, Windsor suddenly hugs her and tries to convince her to come back to him. Pinky says she wants to focus on work right now and doesn’t have the time for a relationship or marriage.
Pinky apologizes and off she goes as Windsor looks on helplessly and sighs while staring at a ring he’s carrying. The Lin family return home in a quite somber mood. Staring at the funeral photo of Jenny, Pinky and Ethan hope that she rests in peace; Ethan promises to take care of Shawn.
Shannon packs up her stuff and decides not to tell her brother right away that she’s leaving so he doesn’t feel guilty about it. She admits how she had been selfish and self-centered and Miss Gao assures her that she would meet her actual Mr. Right someday.
Shannon agrees to attend the funeral service of Jack and Jenny and she whispers something into her mother’s ears. The atmosphere at the Hong villa is quite gloomy and disheartening as Betsy laments over how Jack and Jenny had left their son behind all alone.
Betsy wishes that Jenny would come back so that she would accept her and treat her right, and Gordon consoles her and apologizes to Jack for not being a good enough father to him. Shirlene laments over how her brother had failed to keep his promise of returning home safely with Jenny.
She promises to take good care of Shawn and their parents. Betsy asks Jenny to take care of Jack on the other side as she promises to take very good care of Shawn. Pinky and her family arrive at the villa to offer their condolences to the Hongs. Miss Gao also shows up with Windsor and her two daughters Shannon and Pauline to give the Hongs some words of encouragement.
Betsy actually thanks her for coming in spite of the countless problems Jack and Jenny had caused for her. Gordon announces his plan to retire in order to spend more time with his wife and family – he would leave Xu Feng to her entirely. Giselle refuses to accept that and reveals that she’s going to America with Shannon to get her treated and also wants to take some time off.
On this note, the running of Xu Feng is designated to Windsor and Shirlene and Gordon agrees to help them out. Shannon acknowledges how she had ruined Pinky and Windsor’s relationship and she apologizes and wishes that they get married before she goes to the states. Shannon approaches her sister Pauline and urges her to also get married with Ethan.
Pauline ironically states that ever since she met her sister, today is the first time she’s ever talked sense. Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. Lin and Miss Gao all give their consent for the two marriages. Betsy also gives her consent and Pauline expresses her appreciation.
Shannon urges her brother to propose to Pinky again and he does so in front of everyone. Pinky takes turns glancing around before gladly agreeing. Shirlene prompts Ethan to also take action but before he can even finish proposing, Pauline happily agrees to marry him, making everyone break out in laughter.
In no time, the double weddings take place between Ethan and Pauline, and Pinky and Windsor at the villa to a great reception from the Hongs, Lins and Gaos. Both couples ki$$ to the applause of the three families. Pinky envisions Jenny and Jack both in white clothes waving to her and prays for their best wishes from heaven.
