Pinky Strives To Support Jenny In Her Trying Situation. A Heartbreaking News Leaves Jenny Devastated. A Guilt-ridden Jack Turns Himself In To Protect Jenny.
Pinky tells the doctor to make the necessary preparations for Jenny’s operation in spite of Jenny’s misgivings and refusal to undergo the procedure. After the doctor has left, Pinky shows Jenny a drawing her son Shawn had made for her and urges her to be strong for him. Jenny thanks her for taking care of her son.
Pinky mentions the ättaçk on Shannon last night and has Jenny recount what had happened. As if on cue, Jack suddenly shows up to confront Jenny about Shannon’s misfortune. He refuses to believe that she’s really sick and tries to drag her to the police station since he suspects that she’s the culprit. Pinky comes to Jenny’s defense and chases Jack off.
Mr. Lin resorts to drinking to cope with Jenny’s unfortunate fate and his wife joins him as he laments over how he used to curse her and wish her the worst for what she had done to Pinky and their family. Back in the hospital, Jenny finally agrees to do the surgery as she’s determined to survive at all cost since she fears what could befall her dear son in her absence.
Glad with her change of mind, the doctor says he would fix a date for the procedure and let them know. Pinky gives Jenny moral support and encourages her to keep on with the fight. She even goes to the extent of spoon-feeding her.Jenny learns of how Jack is being investigated by the police as the prime suspect in what had happened to Shannon.
She begins to wonder what had actually happened and plans to make sure that Jack isn’t charged with attempted mürdër for Shawn’s sake. Later that night, Pinky takes a walk with Ethan and informs him of how Jenny has stomach cancer and doesn’t want everyone to know. Ethan acts all indifferent as he states that it’s her karma for all the evil she’s done.
The next morning at Xu Feng, Pinky tries to pay back Miss Gao for the deposit she had made for her parents’ house but she’s reluctant to accept it. Giselle urges Pinky to come back and take charge of Dr. Queen since it’s too much of a responsibility for Shannon. Pinky accepts the offer and has Giselle agree to give Jenny a job there should she recover from cancer.
At the hospital, Jenny receives a visit from some policemen who question her about the āssäult on Shannon as Ethan spies. She insists that both she and Jack are innocent and then proceeds to dismiss the officers, saying that she’s sick and needs to rest. Outside Xu Feng, Ethan confronts Jack about Jenny’s illness and Jack later calls Pinky to confirm it.
Gordon comes to learn of the āssäult on Shannon and guarantees Giselle that Jack couldn’t possibly be involved because he hates violence though he løvës føøling around. Back outside the company, Jack broods by himself and reflects on the terrible ways he had treated Jenny before. He can’t believe that she’s really dying and didn’t even give him the chance to make it up to her.
Gordon comes over to question him about the case and Jack resolves to take the whole blame in order to protect Jenny. Speaking of, Jenny plans to go to the police station to turn herself in and take the blame because she doesn’t want anything to happen to Jack.Pinky can’t seem to understand why Jenny is so concerned about Jack in spite of how he’s been treating her.
Jenny states that Jack gave her a happy family and is the only man she løvës so she can’t let anything happen to him. Unbeknownst to them, Jack stands outside the hospital room, observing and listening in as Jenny goes on about protecting Jack. Pinky points out that she can’t have the surgery if she’s in jail and Jenny argues that she’d rather die in jail than let anything happen to Jack.
Outside, Jack actually berates Jenny silently as he can’t seem to understand why she still cares about him in spite of how he had treated her. With Jenny’s stomach acting up again, Pinky asks the doctor for her to be given more paink!llers but the doctor tells her that she can’t take anymore for the day.
Also, he mentions that due to the test results, it’ll no longer be advisable for Jenny to have the surgery since her condition has already deteriorated beyond salvation. Pinky is devastated. As if that’s not enough bad news for one day, some officers suddenly show up to take Jenny into custody since Shannon had woken up and accused her of ättaçking her.
Jack feels guilty for the situation and refusing to let Jenny stay in jail in her current condition, he decides to do something about it. Jack goes home to pack up his stuff and he makes his mother believe that he’s going abroad to work on some job. While the officers are yet to arrest Jenny, they receive a phone call about the āssäulter being in custody already.
They apologize for the trouble before heading out. Jenny looks forward to have the surgery and Pinky can’t bring herself to tell her about the bitter truth. Jack gives his statement at the police station about how he had ättaçked Shannon and Miss Gao and Windsor berate him. Jack merely pleads with them not to tell his family of his whereabouts.
Pinky is taken by surprise to learn of how Jack had confessed to ättaçking Shannon. Gordon questions his son about his actions and he states that he would come to understand in the near future. After asking him to keep his whereabouts a secret from the rest of the family, Jack urges his father to help him take care of Jenny and Shawn since the former is dying of cancer. Gordon is shocked.
Jenny makes a scene at the hospital after learning that she can no longer have the surgery. Pinky strives to calm her down and to comfort her as she laments over how she could suffer the same fate like her parents who had died so young. The Lin couple bring Shawn to see Jenny and they make a futile attempt to convince her to return home with them.
Jenny refuses to wait for her dëãth at home and would rather do what she løvēs best: she convinces Pinky to let her go back to work in the salon. Miss Gao strives to reason with Shannon and encourage her to do what is right. She hands her the divorce agreement and urges her to let Windsor go.
As Windsor spies, Shannon asks how she could be so cruel and Giselle tells her that it’s in the hospital that people usually realize how precious life is: it’s the right time and place for her to let Windsor go. Shannon worries about how she could live without him and Giselle consoles her, stating that her Mr. Right is somewhere out there waiting for them to have a happy life together. On this note, she urges her daughter to let Windsor go so they could both find their happiness.
