The Lins & Hongs Return To Their Original Homes. Pinky Resumes Her Life. Jenny’s World Comes Crashing Down.
Windsor obliges to his mother’s wish of leaving the company and doesn’t even bother to protest because all she cares about is Shannon and nothing more. When he mentions how løvë seems to have blinded her, Miss Gao points out the error of his ways in regards to the contract signing.
Windsor goes on about how Shannon is even more important to her than the company, saying that she (Giselle ) chooses to forgive her mistakes because she’s her real daughter. On this note, he refuses to work in Xu Feng any longer.
In her desperate attempt to appease Windsor and get him to stay, psyçhø Shannon confesses to how she had tried to fire Pinky much to Miss Gao’s displeasure. Windsor snubs Shannon and before leaving, he reveals that he had gone to Pinky’s office because Jenny had called to tip him off.
Giselle chastises her daughter for how she had let Jenny use her. After she dismisses her, Mr. Hong shows up with his son in tow to update Miss Gao about the successful signing ceremony. Giselle treats the Hongs with indifference and accuses them of conniving with Jenny. Jack proclaims his innocence and even asks Giselle to take back the GM position.
A moment later, Pinky arrives with Ethan and Miss Gao offers to have her take over the running of Dr. Queen. The Lin siblings reveal their intention of moving back into their old house while Gordon and his family return to the villa. When questioned about Pauline, Ethan admits his feelings for her. Gordon and Giselle are delighted at that and willing to entrust their daughter to him.
Ethan makes it crystal clear that he would marry Pauline only on the day his sister also gets married. Pauline chances upon the scene and is delighted. Upon his return home, Gordon informs his family about how Miss Gao had agreed to give back the villa to them. Betsy is excited and eagerly goes to pack up some stuff.
In the meantime, Jenny is told by a doctor to undergo some checkups to confirm why she’s been having stomach pains. Windsor hands over his resignation letter to Miss Gao and urges her to agree to his divorce plea so he and Shannon don’t cause each other anymore pain and trouble. Psyçhø Shannon happens to overhear this and she desperately pleads with Windsor not to divorce her.
Though Shannon promises not to pick anymore fights with Pinky, Windsor states that they need to part ways in other to save each other from further misery. Shannon won’t have that and Giselle makes a futile to stop Windsor from leaving. The Hongs arrive outside the villa, with Betsy talking down at Pinky’s family as usual. A few choice words are exchanged between her and the Lin couple.
After his family has gone in, Jack makes a pathetic attempt to convince Pinky to get back together with him. Pinky makes it crystal clear that it would never happen even in his wildest dreams and imaginations. She then snubs him and carries on. It doesn’t take long for the Hong family to settle back into their original home.
Jenny returns to the villa all wobbly and slumps into Jack’s bed. Jack tries to kick her out on account of the countless problems she’s caused. Jenny vows not to allow him get back together with Pinky. The Lins finally return to their own house with such delight and go on about how much they missed the place.
Pauline offers to have her mother buy them all a big house but Ethan objects to it. Pinky plans to resume her life and get back on track with her very own identity. It doesn’t take long for Pinky to return to Dr. Queen and after she works on a couple of clients and takes a break, she receives a surprise visit from Windsor in her office.
Windsor reveals his plan of living his own life and goes on about how he would be contented as long as Pinky remains in good health and lives happily. He then shakes her hand before leaving. Silently, Pinky thanks him for coming. Meanwhile, psyçhø Shannon confronts Jenny over how she had used and betrayed her.
Jenny has an exchange of words with Shannon about the stunt they had pulled and the capabilities of Miss Gao to handle Xu Feng on her own. At the Lins, Pauline gladly makes dinner for the family and they’re all excited until they see that she had only made two dishes, both burned and charcoal-like.
Apparently, Pauline had used half a bottle of soy sauce to prepare her braised pork. The Lins are appalled. Pauline admits that the food looks bad but tastes delicious. Ethan suffers the misfortune of being “spoon-fed” some of Pauline’s food as his parents look on in disbelief.
After tasting it, Pauline asks if he likes it and Ethan makes a face and states that it’s salty like hell, much to his parents’ amusement. Mr. and Mrs. Lin decide to go and have a candlelight dinner outside, leaving Ethan alone to deal Pauline. When Jenny returns to the villa again, she’s treated with indifference by the Hongs and Betsy berates her for the troubles she’s caused them.
Jenny’s stomach starts acting out again and she ends up passing out in the couch, compelling Jack to hurry her to the hospital. A moment later after regaining consciousness, Jenny gets rid of Jack and pesters the doctor to tell her what’s been happening to her. She’s shocked to be diagnosed of stomach cancer. Jenny begins making a scene, refusing to accept the bitter truth.
In the meantime, Shannon approaches Pinky and urges her to help her find Windsor. Pinky tells Shannon that she has no idea of Windsor’s whereabouts, adding that she should let him be because he might need some time alone. Psyçhø Shannon objects to that and pleads with Pinky to tell Windsor to come home if he contacts her.
Pinky makes a futile attempt to reason with her. Back at the hospital, Jenny lies to Jack about her condition and picks a fight with him on account of his intention to pursue Pinky again. Jack resolves to ditch her right there and then. Jenny makes a solemn vow not to get beaten down in her life – not by cancer: she would fight it to the end.
At the Lin residence, Ethan returns home from work and Pauline excitedly receives him. Mr. and Mrs. Lin observe as their son begins calling Pauline sweet names. Reflecting on their dinner date, Mr. Lin recounts how they had seen a young couple ki$$ing openly in the streets and much to their disbelief, Pauline begins ki$$ing Ethan all over his face and ends up smearing it with lipstick.
Mr. Lin finds the situation laughable and almost makes another dreadful suggestion as he makes mention about making løvë if not for his wife’s intervention. A moment later, Pauline calls Windsor on the phone and tricks him into coming over to the house.
The Lins resolve to convince him to join them for dinner, even as Pauline suggests that he break up with Shannon and marry Pinky since they’re always fighting. In no time, Pinky receives a phone call from Pauline, telling her about how Ethan has supposedly gotten himself drunk. Pinky agrees to come over and as she gets off the phone, she notices Jenny nearby, holding her stomach and grimacing in pain.
