Delfin & Cardo Reach Out To Flora. Lucas & His Allies Continue To Plot Against Cardo & Vendetta.

Margie has a talk with mayor Adonis about her faith in Grandma Flora and the case she had filed against the PNP chief for what had been done to her brother, General Borja. The mayor expresses his misgivings on the matter and he urges Margie to stay out of the issue before she gets into trouble. Margie won’t have that as she lectures the mayor on how he seems to have changed.
Grandma Flora has a talk with her family about her appointment at the office of the public prosecutor and they all hope that things will turn out well so Delfin can finally return home to them. Speaking of, Delfin hangs out with Cardo and the others and recounts his near death experience last night. Lucas meets up with his partners in crime to address the issue of General Borja’s escape.
At the hideout in Baseco, Delfin expresses his utmost gratitude to Cardo and the Vendetta again for saving him and President Hidalgo apologizes for their clashes and the accusations he used to hurl at him during his time in office. Lucas and his cohorts connive together to do damage control and control the narratives of the media.
Grandma Flora goes with attorney Gonzalez to the ombudsman’s office to enquire about the case against General Terante. When Flora asks of the ombudsman, the assistant reveals that she’s also been having trouble trying to get in touch with him. Somewhere in the city, some citizens chance upon the dëäd body of the ombudsman and resolve to report it to the police.
It doesn’t take long for the office to be notified of the death of the ombudsman, taking Flora by surprise. At the hideout in Baseco, Romulo deploys Anton and a few others to secure the neighborhood. Back in the Palace, Lucas continues to plot with his allies against Cardo and the Vendetta. They also plan to take absolute control of the public and the country. Lucas’ intention is to make everything he says the law.
General Marquez updates Lucas on Terante’s encounter with the Vendetta as well as the plan he’s cooked up against General Borja’s men to get rid of them for good. News of the death of the ombudsman goes national and Lucas plans to replace him with one of their real allies. At home, the Dalisay family discuss the possibility of Terante being behind the ombudsman’s death.
While Margie strives to reason with mayor Adonis about the current situation on ground, Flora talks on phone with Billy about the very same matter and whether it’s connected to Delfin’s case. Once off the phone, Billy and his buddies deliberate on the matter and Terante’s possible involvement, and the fact that Cardo and the Vendetta will probably be blamed for the ombudsman’s death.
Delfin has a talk with Cardo about their current situation and comes to acknowledge that there’s no other legal way for them to take down their enemies without their vigilantism. Lucas, Hipolito and Brandon go to the hospital to see Terante and they discuss about the problems General Borja is likely to cause them. Back at the hideout, Delfin asks his grandson about their next line of action.
“We don’t have a plan yet,” Cardo states. “We’re lying low for now, because we know how powerful our enemy is.”
Hipolito offers to deal with Delfin’s family but Lucas turns down the offer and charges him to finally close the deal with the mining company. Jonathan expresses his misgivings to Teddy over how Cabrera’s men had come after him for publishing his articles against the government. Teddy apologizes for the trouble but won’t give up the fight.
Lucas and co finally get to talk to Terante once he regains consciousness and it’s confirmed that General Borja is now with Cardo and company. Hipolito blames Terante and Lucas calls for order after they’ve traded threats as usual. Billy, Chikoy and Vargas pay a visit to Flora’s family to check up on them. They then discuss about the death of the ombudsman.
Brandon proposes to his father that they go after Cardo’s grandma next and try to make her talk but Lucas objects to the idea as he states that it would be best to focus on damage control at the moment. Once back at the Palace, he charges secretary Damian O’campo to act fast since it’s easy for social media to be used against them. Virgie continues to express her misgivings regarding her husband’s articles against the government.
Teddy remains determined to continue with his agenda nonetheless and it doesn’t help matters for JP to continue getting involved too. While Bubbles continues to show interest in Jerome, Hipolito and his minions discuss their shared enmity and misgivings for General Terante. Hipolito plots to pull a fast one on Lucas by using his money to strengthen their forces.
Cardo borrows Jerome’s cellphone for Delfin to call Grandma Flora’s number. Flora gets quite emotional at the sound of her brother’s voice and recounts how she had tried so hard to find him. She’s shocked all the more to learn that it was her dear grandson who had actually rescued her brother. Cardo assures her of Delfin’s safety.
Lucas has a talk with Terante over the phone about his plan to implicate the Vendetta in what had happened to him and cover up how they had rescued General Borja. Terante makes a solemn vow to make it up to Lucas. Nico expresses his worries to his family for their safety, though Melba and Efren decide to continue helping the Vendetta.
Rosa happens to overhear some of the neighborhood kids talking about her children and she realizes where they have been all this time. Grandma Flora has a talk with her family about her earlier talk with Delfin on the phone and she charges them to keep the kids in the dark since they could accidentally tell others about it, thereby putting Cardo and Delfin in grave danger.
“But does that mean the General is also a wanted man now?” Elmo asks. “Are the cops after him now too?”
“The General’s better off joining Cardo’s group,” Wally notes.
“And I know Cardo won’t let anything bad happen to Delfin no matter what,” Flora declares.
Vargas informs Billy about the lead he’s gotten from the wife of one of the missing reporters. They watch the CCTV footage of a kidñappiñg and are inclined to believe that Terante is the one behind all the disappearances. Cardo returns to the group with his grandpa, both relieved with the earlier phone call with Flora.
Lucas talks down at Cardo and the Vendetta during a press conference in the Palace and makes it his mission to dehumanize and incriminate them for the recent chaotic incidents in the country. The members of the Vendetta deliberate on a foolproof plan to bring down Lucas’ administration. Back in the Palace, Lucas accuses the Vendetta of ambushing Terante.
Terante makes his appearance and milks his injuries. He gives a blasted speech against Cardo and the Vendetta and rambles some nøñsënse about his so-called intention of restoring peace and order in the country. The Dalisays and Arevalos watch the live broadcast from their respective homes. Hipolito and Homer’s gang also watch from the safe house and the guys commend the performance.
“Don’t worry, sir,” Homer says to Hipolito. “Lucas will soon realize who’s more reliable between you and that stüpïd Terante.”
“I’m going to use Terante’s other negligence to my advantage,” Hipolito declares as he watches with absolute contempt.
At their respective homes, the Dalisays and Arevalos discuss about the validity of Terante’s accusations against the Vendetta. Teddy plans reach out to someone to verify his suspicions. With everything going on, Grandma Flora worries about how Lucas would stop at nothing until he finds where Cardo and the Vendetta are hiding, including Delfin.
