“Let it be known that I will forever be grateful to Cardo. For saving my daughter’s life. And to all the members of the Vendetta, I salute you. I used to think you were the enemies of the country. But it turns out you are our saviors.”
The PSG guards turn on the policemen and begin firing at them in order to create the impression of an ambush for the benefit of the media and the public. The thunderous sound of güñfire startles Aubrey and the nurses inside the ambulance. As Cardo and his comrades look on, the Palace guards güñ down several policemen and head for the ambulance.
One in particular opens the door and k!lls the nurses right away. Aubrey desperately pleads for her life as the guard takes aim. Cardo and the Vendetta spring right into action by getting rid of the immediate threat to Aubrey before taking on the remaining policemen and Palace guards.
In the midst of the ensuing chaos, Aubrey manages to get out of the ambulance and jumps into the river below a crucial second before bûllēts come flying in her direction. President Hidalgo who had stayed back with the girls notices. Oscar throws caution to the wind as he breaks away from Alyana and Bubbles to hurry over to the bridge.
As the güñ battle drags on, Aubrey struggles in the river and begins to sink. Our favorite hero then jumps into the river and desperately tries to find her underneath. The güñ battle continues and Romulo and the others take out several of the enemy. When Bubbles attempts to help, she almost accidentally shôòts Jerome.
Jerome takes down a couple of the guards and ridiculously enough, Alyana who’s never held a güñ in her life actually guñs down an officer with a single shot. Romulo, Ramil, Anton and the others do their part to get rid of the remaining threats and the group resolve to stare down into the river as Cardo continues searching for Aubrey.
Eventually and fortunately, our favorite hero manages to find and rescue Aubrey. President Hidalgo reunites with his daughter and they both get quite emotional, and so does the members of the Vendetta as they look on. Lucas talks to his wretçhed son on the phone about how Vendetta had ruined his plans again and taken Aubrey.
Speaking of, Aubrey rides with her father and some members of the Vendetta, Cardo inclusive. Father and daughter are teary-eyed and emotional over their reunion, even as Oscar assures Aubrey that she’s safe. In the meantime, mayor Adonis decides to push through with his plan of going to talk to Grandma Flora to leave the neighborhood in peace. Margie’s attempts to talk him out of it proves futile.
Grandma Flora is stationed outside her house and with the help of Yolly and Wally, she gladly distributes the leftovers of the food they had cooked for the day to some needy and street kids. The mayor notices this and refrains from carrying out his plan. Cardo and the members of the Vendetta are still on their way home after their successful mission. The guys share in the joy of the president’s reunion with his daughter, with Aubrey being all smiles and all.
“Let it be known that I will forever be grateful to Cardo,” Oscar declares silently. “For saving my daughter’s life. And to all the members of the Vendetta, I salute you. You’ve all risked your lives so many times for the sake of our fellow citizens. And most of all, for the country.”
The news of the Vendetta’s supposed abduçtion of Aubrey goes national and President Cabrera addresses the press and makes it his mission to incriminate and dehumanize Cardo and his comrades. Meanwhile, the Vendetta safely arrive at the hideout in Baseco with the president and his daughter. The family of Efren and Melba are delighted, and Oscar introduces them to Aubrey. Aubrey expresses her utmost gratitude to Cardo and his group for saving her and her father.
Hipolito storms the office of General Terante to question and berates him for letting the Vendetta outsmart him and get away with Aubrey. Terante faces off with him and after a brief exchange of words, he storms out. While Margie checks up on Grandma Flora’s family, Councilor Gina pays a visit to the mayor and makes a quite pathetic attempt to pit him against Flora’s family. At the Palace, Lucas gives Terante an earful for failing him.
After Melba has Aubrey settled in, Aubrey and Oscar do a little catching up about Lucas’ monstrosity. Oscar beats himself up for what had happened to their family and Aubrey assures him that he isn’t at fault. Back at the Palace, Lucas continues to throw a fit and vows to ruin Oscar’s name so that if he even returns, the public would side with him (Lucas). The authorities work the crime scene on the bridge and Billy and his men give Teddy confirmation of the Vendetta’s involvement.
Teddy and the officers deliberate on the reason why Cardo and his group had ‘abducted’ Aubrey and they come to the conclusion that they might have done that to protect her from the real mastermind behind her family’s assåssiñatiøn. As Homer and his gãñg celebrate how Terante had messed up, President Hidalgo joins the Vendetta and reaffirms Lucas’ involvement in all the recent chaos. Later, Oscar watches over his daughter as she sleeps.
“I’m grateful my prayers to keep Aubrey from danger were answered. Thank you for sending Cardo and the Vendetta our way and into our lives.”
Hipolito expresses his grievances to Lucas regarding Terante’s failure and makes a pathetic attempt to talk him into replacing him. In spite of his shortcomings, Lucas and Brandon still find Terante useful since he has a lot of connections and a private army. Pacquito and the other kids arrive in school, worried about the possibility of their mates bullying them again because of the recent incident involving the Vendetta.
Fortunately, a teacher of theirs promises to stand up for them if someone tries to pick on them. The Vendetta deliberate on how the police and the PSG had tried to k!ll the president’s daughter. Diana states that the officers had no choice but to comply with the orders of Lucas since he’s their commander.
When Tadpole asks why the officers had been trying to k!ll each other back then, Ramil states that it was all for show and part of the scheme to pin the blame on them. Oscar soon joins the guys and thanks them again.
“I used to think you were the enemies of the country,” Oscar mentions. “But it turns out you are our saviors.”
“We are always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need,” Jerome declares.
“I’m sure our enemies will blame us for the ambush,” Diana chimes in. “They’ll back us into a corner till we have nowhere to go.”
President Hidalgo expresses his worries about the group’s safety in their current location, fearing that some of the neighbors might believe the lies Lucas has been spreading and report them to the authorities.
Efren assures him that he would take care of the matter by meeting with the community leaders and their trusted elders. Romulo declares that they need to be vigilante and guard the area carefully because their enemies would stop at nothing to find them.
