“Dad really shouldn’t have given his full trust to Lucas Cabrera. I had no idea that he could be this evil. He’s a mönstêr. I can’t afford to wait for something bad to happen to Aubrey. Please help me save the life of my daughter.”
Aubrey feigns unconsciousness when she notices the doctor coming over to check up on her. At the memorial park, Cardo and the members of the Vendetta along with President Hidalgo continue lurking and waiting for the policemen patrolling to leave. On Cardo’s orders, Greco, Earthworm and Tadpole break away from the group to secretly observe the policemen.
As fate will have it, it begins raining there and then. The policemen abandon their posts and begin to leave, and Greco makes mockery of them and how they seem to be scared of the rain. A moment later, the trio return to the group to report the departure of the cops. Cardo then proposes that they stay put for now and wait until the rain stops.
At the town hall, the mayor urges Margie to stay away from Grandma Flora’s family for her own safety. Margie insists that they’re decent people.When Margie tells Adonis to stop listening to gossip, he mentions that he worries about her because she’s important to him. And also because he lōvês her.
Margie gets excited, though disappointment sets in when Adonis notes that she’s just his best friend. The rain has died down now and the members of the Vendetta waste precious time to pose. They then start heading for the graves so slowly as if they have all the time in the world.
Oscar cries over the graves of his family and after a while, Anton, Soriano and a few others unearth the coffins on Cardo’s signal. Oscar then takes turns to behold the remains of his wife, son and youngest daughter, and the members of the Vendetta mourn together with him.
A security guard chances upon them from a distance and he radios for backup, just as the guys begin to carry the coffins back to their resting places. Aubrey suffers a convulsion and the doctor attends to her and stabilizes her. The police arrive at the memorial park, only to find absolutely no one there.
Our favorite hero and his comrades have already hit the road with President Hidalgo. Oscar continues crying, inconsolable, and the guys sympathize with him. Grandma Flora counsels the kids to turn a deaf ear to the rumors being spread by their nosy neighbors against their family.
Elmo offers to go with the kids to school for the meantime so he can ensure that they’re all safe from harm. Wally worries that they might have fewer customers than before since their family is now the number one public enemy. Flora urges everyone not to lose hope so easily. Jonathan talks on the phone with Teddy about the recent article he had written regarding how Lucas had used his power to have his son released from prison.
“Cabrera will be furious with you when he finds out about this.”
“But that’s the truth,” Teddy points out. “As the president, the first thing Lucas Cabrera did was to release his own son from prison. And the public should question that move.”
At the Palace, Hipolito hands Brandon a list of mining companies that Oscar had acted against during his administration. He reveals that one of the companies has offered to give them a substantial amount if their government allows them to operate. Lucas suggests that they look into it and if they’re exposed, they would lay the blame on Oscar since he was the first person they had approached.
Brandon offers to help out with his criminal connections. Lucas, Hipolito and Brandon make a toast to the success of their blasted dreams. A moment later, Terante shows up to reveal that the Vendetta had been seen at the cemetery earlier and had dug up the graves of the Hidalgos.
Lucas then realizes that Oscar is with them. Brandon speculates that he might even try to go and visit his daughter at the hospital. Aubrey overhears a conversation between the doctor and a nurse and she gets distressed, thinking that every single member of her family is dëâd.
The Dalisay kids arrive in school, only to be ridiculed and bullied on account of their relation with Cardo. Pacquito ignores Makmak’s counsel to not pay attention to them and he confronts the bullies. He insists that his idol Cardo isn’t a bad man and when the other kids argue against that, a fight breaks out.
Elmo and some others hurry over to restore order. Flora, Wally and Yolly return home with a lot of leftovers of the food they had cooked. While Councilor Gina and her cohorts make so much sales for the day, Flora asks Yolly and Wally to pack up their leftovers. Aubrey resumes with her unconscious act when she notices Terante coming over with another officer.
At the hideout in Baseco, President Hidalgo makes a solemn vow to make Lucas rot in prison for his crimes. However, the most important thing for him now is to find a way to rescue his daughter. Alyana tells Cardo of her decision to join the group on their missions from now on. She fears not being by his side if something bad were to happen to him so from now on, she would go wherever he goes.
On that note, she’s now a member of the Vendetta. In the meantime, Aubrey plans to get out of the hospital without being seen. Teddy remains determined to continue writing his critical articles about the government in spite of his wife’s worries.
“I can’t afford to wait for something bad to happen to Aubrey,” Oscar says to Cardo and the others. “If Lucas managed to k!ll the rest of my family, then I’m pretty certain he’ll do everything to make sure my daughter dies too. Please help me save the life of my daughter.”
Terante informs Lucas that he’s already tightened up security within and around the hospital premises in case Vendetta and Oscar arrive. They’re both certain that their enemies would fall right into the trap they have set. Lucas declares that Oscar would die this time. Brandon states that once it’s over, they’ll just wait for Aubrey to die.
The Vendetta and President Hidalgo discuss the next line of action after they’re able to rescue Aubrey. While Lucas vows to make sure that Oscar dies with his daughter should he come for her, Soriano suggests to the president that he should leave the country with his daughter once they successfully rescue her.
Oscar argues against that and points out that Lucas would make it impossible for them. The members of the Vendetta begin to deliberate on their plan to rescue Aubrey. Though they worry about the president’s safety, he insists on tagging along for the mission.
Cardo lays out a critical plan to get the group to Manila safely and without notice. He deploys Anton, Soriano and Greco to go ahead to the port. At the hospital, Lucas and Terante stand in Aubrey’s room. Terante assures Lucas that all the exits and entrances are secure, and Lucas orders him to carry on with the search operation for Oscar.
“I want Oscar Hidalgo dëâd,” Lucas declares.
“Yes, Mr. President,” Terante remarks.
Aubrey opens her eyes after Lucas and Terante have left the room. “Harold and I were right all along. Dad really shouldn’t have given his full trust to Lucas Cabrera. I had no idea that he could be this evil. He’s a monster.”
At the hideout in Baseco, Cardo and the Vendetta begin to gear up and get their weäpoñs ready for their mission.
