“When Marco was buried, I was in handcuffs and behind bars. But now, Oscar’s entire family is dëâd, while I’m finally free. And my father is now the president. The perfect revenge. We’re going to use Aubrey as bait so Oscar will come to us.”
At the Palace, General Terante assures President Cabrera that they’re doing everything they can to find the Vendetta and President Hidalgo. Still, he suggests that they change their tactics and come up with a plan to make the rebels come out of hiding. He then hints at something that could make Oscar come out of hiding.
At the neighborhood in Baseco, Patrick joins his buddies and recounts how he keeps having nightmares because of the cop he had k!lled the other time. The guys justify his actions since they would have all been caught had he not taken the necessary measures.
As they talk some more, they notice Rosa’s kids hurrying into the house of Patrick’s grandparents. Ana and Aye seek refuge from Melba, all bruised up and they lament over how their mother had hurt them again because they had forgotten to cook for her boyfriend.
Efren is appalled but not surprised since Rosa happens to be a drüg addict. Efren promises to keep the kids in his protective custody against their mother and Nick resolves to treat their wounds. A moment later, President Hidalgo and the members of the Vendetta come to know of the plight of the abused kids.
Oscar feels sorry for them since they remind him of his own children. On account of how the neighbors had mobbed Flora’s house recently, Charlene assures Yolly that she would take care of their food court in their absence. Yolly expresses her appreciation.
Councilor Gina is quite delusional to think that she can secure a position as a member of the president’s staff. Being a diehard fan of Lucas, she looks forward to working together with him to catch the Vendetta. General Borja arrives at the hospital to see Aubrey but he isn’t allowed entry on the orders of the PNP chief.
In the meantime, Lucas and his wretçhed son put up another pathetic performance in front of the media and they make a vain promise to give justice to the Hidalgos. Brandon goes around taking a look at the bodies in display in the cathedral.
The wretçhed guy acts as if he’s greatly saddened with the annihilation of the Hidalgos and his father commends his performance and states that he definitely takes after him. While the Vendetta happily have dinner and share some drinks with President Hidalgo, Terante meets up with some other high-ranking officials.
He buys off their loyalty and charges them to protect Lucas’ administration against their enemies. General Borja notifies Billy and the others about the possibility of losing his position because of the new administration. He charges the guys to never stop their investigations even if he’s no longer around.
Teddy reaches out to Jonathan, an old friend of his with his critical article against Lucas and manages to convince him to hire him. Turns out that Jonathan also wants justice for a sibling who had been k!lled last election during the vote counting fiasco.
“It’s clear to me that the Cabreras were behind that incident. We have a greater responsibility to the country – to deliver the truth.”
President Hidalgo goes on about how he would expose the crimes of Lucas and Terante once he returns to the Palace. He vows to take back everything that was stolen from him.
Cardo urges him to take swift action and weed out the bad elements ruining his administration. Oscar promised that once he regains power, he would use his full authority to grant every single member of the Vendetta a presidential pardon. A news report comes on TV about how the Hidalgo family would be laid to rest tomorrow morning.
Some supporters of the former president are there to mourn while others express their anger towards the Vendetta who are the main suspects in the assåssiñatiøn of the Hidalgos. Oscar watches the news report silently with Cardo and the other members of the Vendetta. Lucas and his wretçhed son prepare for the funeral and gloat over the terrible fate of the Hidalgos.

The Arevalos and the Dalisays watch the news report of the scheduled funeral of the Hidalgos. Against his wife’s better judgment, Teddy decides to attend the ceremony so he can feature it in his articles. Terante notifies Lucas that his men are already in place to deal with Oscar and the Vendetta should they show up.
In no time, the remains of the Hidalgos are transported to the memorial park for the burial. Cardo and the Vendetta pull over a safe distance away with Oscar. Lucas plans to get rid of Aubrey once she wakes up, though he hopes that she would just die already. Brandon wants to eliminate her with immediate effect but Lucas argues against that.
Meanwhile, Oscar and the members of Vendetta spy sadly as the remains of the Hidalgos are being carried to their final resting place. Lucas soon arrives with his son and security and he takes a moment to glare at Teddy when he notices him among the audience. Oscar continues to observe the ceremony sadly from his hiding spot, and he glances at Cardo and Alyana.
At home, Virgie worries about her husband’s safety and JP tries to calm her. The burial ceremony finally begins with Lucas foreseeing it. After it’s over, the officers, officials and the crowd eventually disperse. Oscar and the vigilantes continue to observe as a number of policemen patrol the area.
During the drive home, Lucas brings up how he had seen Alyana’s father earlier at the ceremony and Brandon tells him not to worry about him because he isn’t important and doesn’t even know the whereabouts of his daughter and the Vendetta.
Later that night, Teddy returns home to tell his family of how he had crossed paths with Lucas. As expected, Virgie expresses her worries but JP supports him. At the hospital, Lucas and Brandon come to see Aubrey and they put on a show in front of the doctor.
“You were right about one thing, dad,” Brandon notes after the doctor has left. “When Aubrey finally dies, we’ll have one less problem to worry about.”
Lucas stares down at the only surviving Hidalgo. “But on second thoughts, she might still be useful if she stays alive. All Oscar cares about right now is how to reunite with his remaining daughter.”
“That’s a good idea. We’re going to use Aubrey as bait so Oscar will come to us.”
Aubrey begins to show signs of life which neither Cabrera is able to notice. As soon as the mürdērous duo leave, she finally opens her eyes and begins to wonder about what’s going on and what had happened to her family.
