Jenny teams up with Betsy and they connive together to expose Shannon. However, Pinky outsmarts them. Gordon’s attempt to marry off Pauline turns into an eyesore. Jenny cooks up another calculating scheme to expose Shannon.
Shannon (Pinky) takes pleasure in toying around with Jack and his family before finally admitting to the truth about her real identity. She confronts Betsy and Jack, and calls out everyone in Jack’s family for treating her terribly and making her lose her unborn baby.
Jack is left in an overly misërãble state after his world comes crashing down on account of the shocking revelation. Gordon is greatly distressed when he comes to learn of the truth, and even more so when he discovers that his company is on the brink of bankruptcy because of Jack’s irresponsible behavior and decisions.
Shannon’s revenge plan falls into place and she uses the papers Jack had carelessly signed to take away everything that his family owns, including their cars, businesses and the Hong Villa. While Pinky prepares to move out of the mansion, Jack makes a pathetic attempt to save his mother’s remaining property. Jenny connives with Betsy again in an attempt to regain the mansion.
With Pinky now free of Jack, Windsor makes his move. Jenny strives to discover the troubling history between Gordon and Giselle. Windsor makes his intention known to Pinky’s family and his mother. Nevertheless, Giselle continues to disapprove of her son’s relationship with Pinky, being old-fashioned as she is.
Gordon desperately tries to save his struggling company and when Giselle makes him an inconsiderate offer, a number of shareholders in the company compel him to give in. Giselle finally has her rëveñge on Gordon by taking over his company. Betsy tries to strike a deal with Giselle to get back to her mansion.
After learning of the history between Gordon and Giselle, Jenny makes her ex-father-in-law a proposition. Gordon finally signs the change of ownership of the company, making Giselle the new owner of Shufon Group.
Giselle compels Gordon and his family to move into the shabby apartment of the Lins, while Pinky’s family occupy the villa that once belonged to Jack’s family.
Since Jack and his family do not have any more properties or a single penny to their names, they begin looking for work to make ends meet. After Giselle and Pinky take over everything the Hong family owns, Jack and Gordon both end up working as common car cleaners. Pinky has a heart-to-heart with Shirleen.
As Pinky and her family settle down in the huge mansion, Jack unleashes his frustrations on Jenny in their new house. Betsy struggles to fit into the ‘new’ shabby house. Miss Gao makes known to Pinky her plans for Venus and Dr. Queen before handing over the deed to the Hong villa.
Jenny cooks up another sinister scheme against Pinky after being fired from Venus. Giselle remains determined to teach Gordon a lesson. Jenny sneaks into Venus and commits a despicable deed. Pinky is guilt-stricken over an unfortunate incident that put Shirleen in the hospital. Betsy makes a scene and storms the villa to ‘avenge’ her daughter.
Pinky discovers evidence that points to the actual perpetrator of the ãttaçk on Shirleen, and Jack tries to take advantage of the situation for his own selfish benefit. Windsor finally proposes to Pinky, despite his mother’s misgivings. Meanwhile, Mr. Lin makes a desperate plea to Miss Gao regarding Windsor’s relationship with Pinky.
