Shannon Manipulates Jack & Forces Him to Go into Hiding. Jenny Swindles Betsy. The Lin Family Begins to Suspect Shannon.
Mr. and Mrs. Lin set off for Shufon Group to go and wait for Jack and Jenny spies as they go. Jenny calls Betsy to ask her if Jack has contacted her. She also asks for about a million to get Jack some place to hide away from the police and Betsy falls for it and promises to figure something out.
Betsy brings out a chest from under her bed containing some gold bars, the only valuable thing she has left. The Lin couple storm Shufon Group to confront the Hungs about their daughter’s dëāth. They make a scene in front of several workers and when Gordon fails to calm them down, Shirleen reasons with them. She dismisses the workers and assures the Lins that they would be the first to know should Jack contact them or return home.
Betsy meets up with Jenny who continues to fòöl her about Jack’s whereabouts. When she hands her the wrapped valuables she had brought, Jenny asks her to take good care of Shawn and keep their deal a secret from Mr. Hung. Jack has gotten tired of waiting for Shannon to return. He complains about the room being dark with no air conditioning.
Jack tries to go out only to learn that the basement has been locked from the outside. He’s then left with no choice but to pee inside the windowless basement. Jenny returns home with the gold bars and the extra money Betsy had given her. She receives a taunting phone call from Shannon who scolds her and threatens to fire her for not showing up for work consecutively.
Jenny tries to pull a fast one on Shannon by claiming that she and Jack have gotten back together and would soon live together again with their son. Shannon makes a mockery of her and hints that Jack is with her. A moment later, she goes to give Jack some food in the basement and she’s shocked to see that Jack has been using the same room as a toilet.
Shannon pampers Jack and urges him to have some more patience because he’s wanted out there. Once she steps out of the basement, Jenny shows up to confront her. The commotion brings out Jack who refuses to leave his ‘one true løvē” to leave for France with Jenny.
Jenny throws a fit and as she tries to harass Shannon, Jack comes to her defense. Upset, Jenny decides to call Ethan to tip him off about where Jack is.Jack slips away thanks to Shannon’s assistance, and after Jenny pursues him, Shannon finds a wallet that had been dropped on the floor.
It belongs to Jack and contains all his money and passports. Shannon gloats. Jack escapes Jenny, only to realize that his wallet is missing. He heads to his dad’s office and is quite unfortunate to run into Mr. and Mrs. Lin who had been lying in wait for him all this time.
The Lin couple confront Jack about Pinky’s dëāth and when he insists that he’s innocent, they try to drag him to the police station. Jack breaks away and flees. After talking to Jack on the phone, Shannon meets up with him later that night, unbeknownst to her that Ethan has been tailing her.
Shannon brings Jack the stuff he had asked for and suddenly, Ethan shows up to confront him. Again, Jack escapes..Ethan chases after Jack but he manages to get away by hiding behind some trash. The next morning at the Hung villa, Shawn innocently reveals to Shannon how his mother had asked his grandma for money.
In no time, Shannon asks Betsy about it and when Betsy admits that she had given Jenny the money because of Jack, Shannon exposes how Jenny had fööled her into believing that she was hiding Jack. Gordon is appalled over how his wife had let herself be fööled by Jenny again.
Ethan storms in to confront Mr. Hung about what his son had done to his sister. Pauline tries to calm him down but he disregards her and makes a scene and Shannon comes to stop him and tries to buy him off. Ethan storms away after giving her a piece of his mind.
Pauline goes after Ethan and gets her heart shattered when she tries to convince him not to include her in his grudge against her family. She gets shoved to the floor and when Shannon comes to her aid, she urges her to help her convince Ethan not to marry any other woman.
Upon Ethan’s return home, his mother asks him to investigate Shannon because she suspects that she’s actually Pinky his sister. Shannon takes Jack to a restaurant to get something to eat. Jack complains about how terrible he smells because he hasn’t taken a shower for days.
He’s tired of wandering the streets without any food. He asks for some money to get by and Shannon tells him that she had forgotten her wallet at home. Jack would have to manage on his own for a few days while she tries to settle his issue with the Lin family.
Shannon recounts to Mrs. Gao how misërãble Jack has become due to his situation. Giselle gloats over how Gordon must be suffering now. A moment later, she goes to confront him about the trouble he and his family have caused hers.
Gordon offers to compensate her with any amount of money she asks. Giselle then asks him to return to her everything he’s earned from her father’s land which he stole from her. Giselle vows to never forgive Gordon unless he gives up everything and leaves without a penny.
Later, Shannon meets up with Mrs. Gao and Ethan spies and listens in on their conversation. He reports back to his family about Shannon being the daughter of Mrs. Gao. Mrs. Lin can’t seem to understand that since she knows that Giselle’s daughter had diëd on the same day that Pinky drowned.
Ethan notes that he had once seen a photo of Windsor’s sister, and she’s completely different from the Shannon engaged to Jack. The Lins are confused about whether Shannon is actually Mrs. Gao’s daughter, so Mrs. Lin suggests that they ask Mrs. Gao about it. A moment later, Ethan meets up with Windsor to ask him about the matter.
Windsor doesn’t give Ethan anything to go on. In the meantime, Shannon hopes to fulfill all her plans before her real identity is exposed. Mrs. Gao plans to go against Gordon and deal with him openly from now on. When Shannon returns home, she asks Betsy what kind of woman Pinky was.
Betsy tells her that they had been forced to let Jack marry her because he had impregnated her at the time. Betsy rants about the money Pinky had supposedly tricked them out of. Shannon asks if the Lin family are such shæmelëss people as she claims and Betsy declares that Pinky was worse than Jenny.
She says they don’t owe her anything even if Jack was involved in her dëāth. Silently, Shannon (Pinky) curses Betsy for refusing to admit that she’s ever done anything wrong. Since she’s still blaming her family for everything, Shannon vows not to show her any mercy.
