“Do what you did to Marga again, I dare you. You know me, I don’t just get even… I get evil when I am provoked.”
Cassie and Fatima walked down the school. Fatima thanked Cassie for defending her earlier and Cassie said it was no big deal because friends stood up for each other. Marga came along with her squad and began to ãttaçk Cassie emotionally. “Daddy scolded me because of you,” she began, rolling her eyes at Cassie. “I thought we were family.
Aren’t aunts supposed to take care of and protect their nieces? But you chose to defend that creature instead.” Cassie said she didn’t want to fight. She asked that they put everything behind them and be friends but Marga said she already had lots of friends. At the club, Daniela came to get Carlos for the parents assessment day.
They were however stopped by inspectors from the City Hall. They had come to shut down Daniela’s club because they were not running the place as required of them; their fire extinguishers were outdated, and there were not enough warning signs and to make matters worse, they had already advised them several times, and yet nothing had been done about it for some time now.
At Maxwell, everyone waited for their parents to show up. Robert arrived and Cassie ran up to him excitedly. She hugged her father while Marga looked on. Thinking her mother hadn’t come along, Cassie asked where her mother was and soon, Romina came in and Cassie hugged her as well. Mina told Cassie that she would always make time for her while Marga kept watching them, a look of jealousy in her eyes. Marga texted her mother, asking where she was. Back at the club, Carlos asked Daniela whether she had not replaced the fire extinguishers and Daniela told him she had forgotten to.
“You forgot? Daniela, I kept reminding you.”
Daniela tried to bribe her way out but the inspectors refused to take anything from her and insisted on doing their job. “We have to close your bar,” one of them said. Daniela looked at Carlos worriedly, saying that they had to do something. Back at Maxwell, a teacher came in and told everyone that they would soon start the program in five minutes. She asked if everyone was present and one of Marga’s friends asked her where her parents were.
Marga told her to stop asking because they would be there. Cassie and everyone else looked on. The teacher asked Marga where her parents were and she told her that they were on their way. While Robert looked on, the teacher said they would wait for Marga’s parents for a little while longer. Robert tried to call Daniela and Carlos but none of them picked up. Meanwhile, Carlos and Daniela were worried about the closure of the bar.
Daniela asked what they were going to do and Carlos told her to think of a solution because it was all her fault. After a short argument between the two, Daniela remembered Marga’s school event. Meanwhile, the teacher had gotten tired of waiting and she had begun the event. Marga looked around uncomfortably while Cassie and Robert seemed worried. Meanwhile, Carlos and Daniela hurried over to the school.
Back at the event, Kristoff answered a question and Fatima told Cassie that she didn’t think Marga’s parents would be coming. Cassie, Robert and Romina looked on worriedly while Marga looked defeated for the first time ever. Cassie and Marga solved a maths question correctly and the teacher complemented them. Marga seemed mad that her parents had still not shown up. Meanwhile, Carlos and Daniela were stuck in traffic and Carlos unleashed his frustration on the poor misërãble car.
“So that ends our assessment for today,” the teacher said. She asked the parents to stay for the post assessment meeting so they could hear their suggestions and observations. Robert tried to go over to Marga who sat dejectedly alone but Mrs. Paterno stopped him and introduced her daughter to him while Mina added that Fatima was Cassie’s best friend. Clearly annoyed, Marga looked like she was about to cry.
Back on the congested road, Daniela was shouting, let’s go!!” while Carlos and the other frustrated drivers kept on blowing their horns, as if that would magically make the traffic less. At Maxwell, Marga went into the restroom and cried her eyes out. “You said you would come,” she cried, staring at her reflection in the mirror. “So much for getting my hopes up.”
Cassie went to meet her parents after the meeting. Romina told her that they would be going to her favorite restaurant just like she had promised. She told her daughter that she was proud of her performance. Marga wrapped up her crying and came out of the restroom. She was wiping tears from her face when Robert and co saw her. Robert asked if her parents were on their way and when she didn’t respond, he asked if she wanted to join them for dinner.
“Come with us, Marga,” Cassie said with a smile, taking her hand. Marga glanced at them one by one.
Finally, Carlos and Daniela had arrived at Maxwell. “Excuse me, I am here for the meeting.” Daniela said to a security guard. The guard told her that the meeting was over. Daniela then said that she was there to pick up her daughter. The guard said he had already finished making his rounds and there was no student inside. Carlos suggested that they go home because Marga might already be there.
Robert and his family were at the restaurant with Marga. “Mmm… that’s a gold mine,” Robert said, stealing some crabs from Cassie’s plate. Cassie protested and Robert said she wasn’t eating it anyway. Romina pointed out to her husband that the doctor had told him not to eat that and Robert said it was just for today.
“Don’t worry mamma. I’ll look after daddy,” Cassie jumped in as Marga watched. “I’ll make sure he doesn’t eat a lot.” she added. Mina told her daughter to admit that she just wanted the crabs all to herself and Cassie said she was as guilty as charged. Marga seemed to be smiling at their bonding. Just a little. Mina asked if she liked crabs like Cassie and her grandpa. Marga said she preferred shrimps because they were easier to eat. Mina then took some shrimp from her plate and Robert passed it over to her.
“You like shrimps, you get more shrimps,” Robert said to his granddaughter, and Cassie added that she would like it once she tried it. Marga took a bite and said that the shrimps were really delicious. “I told you,” Cassie commented while Mina asked them to eat up. She asked her husband whether she had been able to contact Daniela and Carlos and Robert said they were still not picking his calls. Marga said it was okay because she had already sent her mother a text message.
While Robert was distracted for a second, Cassie tried to steal some crabs from her father’s plate and Robert caught her. Cassie laughed while Robert asked Marga if she was sure because her mother might get mad. Marga said she was sure. At the Bartolomes, Daniela had called Savannah on the phone. Savannah told her that she would notify her if Marga came there.
When Daniela got off the phone, she told Carlos that Marga wasn’t at Savannah’s place and she didn’t know what to do ; she had called all of Marga’s classmates and friends and they had said they hadn’t gone out with Marga. Carlos asked her to calm down but Daniela wouldn’t listen, saying that it was all his fault. “If you hadn’t kept blaming me for the bar’s closure, we would have made it to Marga’s meeting!” Carlos said panicking and blaming themselves wouldn’t solve anything. He suggested that she call Marga again while he called his father to ask.
Robert, Mina, Cassie and Marga were at a boutique shop. Marga kept staring at a dress and Robert came up and asked if she wanted it. Marga said it was fine because he had already bought her some shoes earlier. However, Robert told her to take whatever she liked and brought up the fact that Camila (his late wife) and Daniela (her mother) lōvêd shopping together. Marga smiled at that and Robert said he was happy to see that she was getting along with Cassie, that they were both there and happy together.
Marga said she had chosen to forgive and after all, Cassie had already apologized. Robert said he hoped that Marga spent some time with Cassie to know her better, and Marga hoped that she would get to spend more time with her grandpa because he was really nice. Robert said he wanted the same thing because he also wanted to get to know her better. Marga then asked him to watch her videos on her vlog ( video blog in full, a vlog is a blog where videos are posted the most over written posts) so he could know what was going on in her life.
“That’s right, daddy. I’ve watched Marga’s vlogs,” Cassie said, walking up to them. “Everyone in school talks about them. I’ll send you the link.”
Robert told Cassie to do so so that he could know more about the vlogs. He then suggested that Cassie help Marga pick some clothes while Marga also helped Cassie pick some for herself.
At the Bartolomes: “Daddy’s calling me. I don’t have the patience to talk to him right now.” Daniela said.
Carlos suggested that they visit Marga’s classmates if she still didn’t answer her phone. Daniela wanted to call the police but Carlos told her they couldn’t help them since it hadn’t been 24 hours yet. Back at the boutique, Robert offered to drive Marga home since her mother still didn’t pick his calls. “Ah, no, thanks. It’s fine,” Marga said. She told her grandpa that she had already spoken to her mother and she wanted to spend more time with him. Robert however insisted.
Cassie had told Robert about how she and Marga both wanted to major in business, and Robert brought up the matter as he drove Marga home. Marga said it was true. She added that she wanted to help her mother run her business. Robert then asked about her vlogs and Marga said it was her favorite hobby and a good way to make herself popular so she would have a lot of connections once she sets up her own business. Robert said it was really good that she had everything planned out, as young as she was.
Nanny Esther asked Cassie about her dinner with Marga and Cassie said it had gone well because her father and Marga had bonded, and Marga (who knew fashion a lot) had picked out a lot of beautiful clothes for her. They both hoped that Marga would visit them often and Cassie was happy that she had also bonded with Marga. Cassie added that she wouldn’t stop until she and Marga became close friends. She had the idea of inviting Marga over for a sleepover.
Robert arrived at the Bartolome residence with Marga. He told Marga that her mother might have been worried, so he offered to go with her so he could explain what had happened. Marga said it was okay because she would explain things herself. She ki$$ed her grandpa goodbye and Robert blew her a ki$$ and watched as she hurried inside. Like a thief in the night, Marga tried to sneak in but her parents caught her and started bombarding her with questions.
“We looked for you everywhere. Don’t you realize how scared we both were?”
“We were so worried about you. Why weren’t you answering your phone? Where have you been?”
Carlos told Marga to answer them but she just stared back at them stubbornly. Carlos then noticed the shopping bags right before Marga hid it behind her. He asked where she had gotten them. “From grandpa,” Marga responded with a frown.
“Grandpa?” Daniela looked like she was about to explode.
” So, while we were frantically searching for you, you were out shopping with your grandpa?” Carlos asked. He added that they had been so close to calling the police because they thought she had gone missing.
“Did you really care where I was?” Marga asked. “You said you would come, but you didn’t,” she added, tears misting in her eyes. “I was the only one without my parents. I looked like a loser. If you really cared then you would have shown up.” She told her parents that they never had time for her, then asked if it was her punishment for getting into trouble the last time. Daniela told her to try and understand.
“Understand what?” Marga asked, and Daniela looked like she had been slãppêd in the face with the smelly fish she hated so much. “That you prioritize your work over me? You always tell me how grandpa is such a bad guy, but when I was with him earlier, I saw how he spent time with Cassie. And it really, really hurts.” Marga left to go to her room and both parents looked like they were about to cry themselves. And then, Robert called (he was still standing outside) and Daniela picked up. She asked what he wanted and Robert said he was outside. Daniela hung up and went out with Carlos.
“How could you do this, dad?” Daniela spat.
Robert pleaded with them not to get mad at Marga and Carlos said he didn’t have a say in it. Daniela asked why he hadn’t told them that Marga had been with him and Robert said he had kept calling yet she hadn’t answered. Daniela asked if he was blaming her and Robert said Marga had been upset that they hadn’t shown up for the assessment so he had invited her to dinner. Daniela didn’t want to hear any of it and she asked him to leave before storming back inside.
Once inside, Carlos told Daniela that her father had a point since they had been too busy to care. Daniela said she was trying to be the perfect mother for Marga. Carlos tried to talk some sense into her but Daniela said it wasn’t their fault and she was sure that Romina had said something terrible to Marga to make them look bad. Carlos asked her not to blame other people for their mistakes but Daniela wouldn’t listen. “… we’re losing our daughter to her. Romina and Cassie are ruining our lives,” she said.
At the Mondragons, Robert watched a video of Marga on her vlog. Romina came in and joined him. Robert said he hoped that their families would finally reconcile, and it was a good thing that Cassie and Marga had made up. Robert said Romina had raised their daughter well and Mina told him that he had also done same. The next morning, Daniela walked into Marga’s room. Marga apologized, thinking her mother was still mad at her.
Daniela said she was just upset because she had told her to stay far away from Robert and his family. Marga asked why and Daniela told her that Robert had chosen ‘that woman’ over them. “And I know he spoke to you saying all those nice things, but the thing with dad…is that those nice things and words aren’t true. He tricked me with those words before, and in the end, he turned his back on me. That’s why I completely cut ties with him.”
Marga asked if they would ever make up and Daniela told her that they would not go near him as long as ‘that woman’ and her daughter were still in the mansion. Carlos came to return every single thing Robert had bought for Marga last night. Romina showed up as Robert was telling Carlos that he had bought the things for Marga because he just wanted to be a grandfather to her granddaughter. Carlos said her daughter didn’t need them.
At the club, Daniela was furious about everything that had been going on. She wasn’t even listening when Savannah told her that the investor hadn’t shown up. Savannah asked about Marga and Daniela told her that she had been with Robert and Romina all that time and for the first time, Marga had talked back to her. Daniela said she was sure that Romina had a hand in her daughter’s change in character. Savannah asked what she was going to do about it.
Back at the Mondragons, Mina tried to talk some sense into Carlos’ thickhead. Carlos told them that Daniela didn’t want them anywhere near Marga and they shouldn’t start anything if they didn’t want trouble. Daniela seethes and curses Romina at the club: “That b*tçh better prepare, because I won’t let this slide. Especially, when it’s my daughter she’s messing with.
“If she thinks that she can use my daughter against me like this, then she’s wrong. But if this is how she wants to play it, then I’ll give her what she wants.”
At Maxwell, class had been dismissed and Cassie asked Fatima to go ahead while she had a talk with Marga. She went over to Marga excitedly and asked to talk to her. She would soon be disappointed. Big time. Marga asked what she needed and Cassie said she just wanted to thank her for choosing all those pretty clothes for her last night. Marga’s friends were taken by surprise. They asked Marga if she was now best friends with Cassie and Marga gave them a look before telling Cassie that she was welcome.
Marga reverted back to her character, telling Cassie that she really needed those clothes. “Mommy told me the kind of person your mother really is,” she added before walking away with her mean squad. Romina comforted her husband who was depressed about how things always turned out worse anytime he tried to make up for his shortfalls.
At Maxwell, school had ended and Cassie’s driver was running late. As Cassie waited, Daniela arrived and greeted her. Cassie asked whether she was there to pick up Marga who was currently having a cheerleading practice. Daniela said she was actually there for Cassie and it was time they went out together. She apologized for the things Marga had said to her earlier and said that she regretted all the bad things she had said about them.
“I’ve thought about it, and I’ve realized we are sisters…I want to get to know you,” she added. Cassie was excited to hear that. She quickly agreed and tried to call her mother but Daniela protested against it. Cassie’s phone was dead though. Daniela told her not to worry because she would call Mina. She called Savannah and pretended talking to her as if she was Romina, asking permission to take Cassie out. After the call, Daniela told Cassie that her mother had agreed to it and they left together.
A few minutes later, Cassie’s driver came to pick her up and learned that Daniela had already come for her. He called Romina and informed her that Cassie was with Daniela. Speaking of, Daniela and Cassie ate at a restaurant (actually, Cassie was the only one doing the eating). They talked about school stuff and Cassie thanked her for bringing her to dinner. Meanwhile, at the Mondragons, Mina was worried about the whereabouts of her daughter. Neil tried to calm her down, all to no avail.
Romina informed nanny Esther about the situation. When Mina couldn’t reach both Cassie and Daniela on the phone, she called Carlos and asked if he knew where Daniela had taken Cassie. Back at the restaurant, Cassie suggested to Daniela that her parents come along with them the next time because her father missed her so much and Daniela said she would like that. She asked whether Cassie wanted to go shopping or to the movies.
Later that evening, Robert tried to calm down his wife who was worried sick and thinking about calling the police. Just then, Cassie and Daniela arrived and Mina asked Cassie where she had been. Cassie seemed confused. Daniela told Mina to relax because they had just gone out for dinner. She added that Cassie was really nice to talk to and Cassie was glad to hear that. After Neil had taken Cassie away to her room, Mina asked if Daniela was dragging her daughter into their issues.
Daniela said she was just returning the favor. “Do what you did to Marga again, I dare you. You know me, I don’t just get even… I get evil when I am provoked.”
After Daniela had left, Robert followed Mina into their room and asked her to calm down because the most important thing was that Cassie was back safe and sound. Mina said she couldn’t because Daniela had done it on purpose and she wouldn’t wait for something terrible to happen to Cassie. At the Bartolome residence, Daniela was delighted and rejoicing over the prank she had just played on Robert and Mina. Carlos told her to stop her nönseñse before things became worse. Daniela asked why he was taking Mina’s side.
“I’m not taking Romina’s side,” Carlos said to her. “I just don’t want things to get out of hand, you know? Use your head for Daniela.” Marga overhead their conversation.
Romina told her husband that if Daniela ever did something like that again, she would give her what she was asking for. Cassie overhead them. At dinner the next morning, Cassie apologized for what had happened and Mina told her not to worry because it wasn’t her fault. Cassie then asked why her mother didn’t want her to spend time with Daniela since she had been so nice to her. Mina said she didn’t want her to be dragged into her misunderstandings with Daniela.
At Maxwell, Marga started an argument with Cassie at the washroom, telling her to go and flush herself (down the toilet). Cassie said she didn’t want to fight with her and they didn’t have to fight even if their mothers were not on good terms. “Mommy’s right,” Marga began. “You and your mom bring bad luck…you and your mom are both parasites in our lives.”
Cassie said she could insult her all she wanted but she wouldn’t take it quietly if Marga dragged her mother into it. “Then stay…the hell…away from me,” Marga warned.
At the club, an attorney and his colleague told Carlos that they needed to settle their previous bank loans in order to get more loans. Carlos asked if there was any other option and the attorney said he had an idea which Carlos might not like. Carlos asked him to spit it out. At Camila, a friend of Robert came to tell him that his daughter’s business was about to collapse because she owed the bank a lot of money. Back at Daniela’s office at the club, Daniela is made known about the situation on ground.
The attorney suggested that they file for bankruptcy but Daniela said she would never allow it, neither would she allow her reputation to be ruined. Carlos asked for some privacy. After they had left the room, Daniela told Carlos that there had to be another way. Carlos said there was no other way and they needed to act fast and cut their losses before they lost everything. Carlos added that they had no choice and Daniela said she would never give up until she took what was rightfully hers. The episode ended as Carlos and Daniela hugged.
