Giselle and Pinky devise a cunning plan to expose the fact that Jack had been with Pinky on the day she had drowned. They shöôt a video of Pinky calling out to Jack to save her.
Jack brings Shannon home but before he can consummate his engagement, he receives the video of Pinky’s drowning in the sea.
Gordon, Betsy and Shirleen also receive the damning video. Jack is misërãble and left with no other choice, he admits to his family that he had been with Pinky and had tried to save her. Jack is tormented by nightmares of Pinky’s drowning and Shannon takes great pleasure in his misery.
With regards to the video of Pinky’s drowning, Jack confronts Jenny and ends up in a fight with Ethan. Jenny pulls a fast one on her ex-husband. Gordon attempts to uncover the origin of the video he received. As Shannon plays wife to Jack, she deliberately makes such terrible food for the family and even mixes sugar with it, compelling Betsy to take over the cooking and other household chores.
When Pauline shows Ethan’s family a photo of Jack’s new fiancée, the Lins confront Shannon and insist that she’s Pinky. Shannon denies being Pinky and manages to curtail the suspicion of her family.
When the Lin family see the video of Pinky crying out to Jack to save her, they confront Jack and decide to sue him for Pinky’s dëāth, so Jack goes on the run and reaches out to Shannon for help.
Shannon dissuades Jack from fleeing to France together and decides to hide him in her house. Ethan storms the Hung house to make a scene upon seeing Pinky’s video and Shannon tries to buy him off.
Jack is compelled to do unthinkable things to survive after Shannon locks him in a room with no bathroom. Jenny tries to blackmail Gordon to clear Jack’s name. Still, Ethan has Jack arrested and Pinky finally decides to reveal herself to her mother in order to fulfill her vengeful intentions.
After ensuring Jack’s release, Pinky reveals herself to the rest of her family. An untold drama ensues. Windsor admits his feelings for Shannon right in Jenny’s presence. Shannon strives to complete her ultimate rëveñge before her real identity is exposed to everyone else. Jenny succeeds in conning Betsy for money.
Giselle remains determined to make Gordon pay for taking away her father’s land and leaving her daughter Mimi to die. Shannon manages to outsmart Gordon and manipulates him into an agreement for the benefit of her real family. Gordon strives to get an emergency loan from the bank to stabilize his company’s financial crisis, so he asks Jack to pledge their biggest project.
Jack continues to keep his father in the dark about the money he had lost. Since the biggest project of Shufon Group is already in Giselle’s name, Jack begins to worry about how he can secure the much needed loan. Desperate for some quick results, he agrees to get another loan from Mrs. Gao by using the Hung family house and his mother’s precious gold plates as collateral.
Jenny meets up with Shirleen and tries to discredit Shannon and her relationship with Windsor. Giselle cautions Shannon (Pinky) to be careful of Jenny since she’s starting to suspect her. Windsor goes to see the Lin family to ask for their daughter’s hand in marriage. Jack picks a fight with Windsor upon discovering his actual relation with Shannon and his feelings for her.
Shirleen witnesses Shannon in a peculiar encounter with Windsor. Shannon trips up and makes Shirleen all the more suspicious. Meanwhile, Jenny remains determined to find evidence to prove that Pinky and Shannon are one and the same person. Nevertheless, Shannon continues to play Jack for a fòöl.
