“I know that retrieving Jigs’ laptop won’t make up for what I allowed to happen, so you should not be thanking me, Rica. I don’t deserve it. Rica, I am sorry. For everything. I am so sorry.”
This episode picks up where several women’s groups in the country have organized a nationwide protest to urge the justice department to grant the appeal of the rãpë case which was filed by Rica Sicat against councilor Jigs Ramones. Alberto is complacent and confident that the public outcry would amount to nothing because there’s no refutable evidence against his grandson.
Bobby has a look of the “disgusting trash” in his son’s laptop. He dumps the laptop into a trash can and when he’s about to burn it, a phone call comes in from Audrey. Bobby picks up and he’s very pleased with himself when Audrey pleads with him to come over and meet her at his place.
At Balai Arkitektura, Kyle and Axel are discussing the investigation of the mayor when Rica shows up to offer a helping hand.Audrey is all emotional and lamenting over her husband as Bobby approaches. She leads him on and breaks down, saying that she’s leaving Troy because she’s tired of all his mistreatment.
Bobby is delighted as Audrey hugs him. Little does he know that he’s being used. Raven stands at the door and Audrey stares back at her.A flashback reveals how Audrey had discovered her daughter’s plan to find the original video to help Rica with her case.
After Audrey had failed to convince her to stop the dangerous plan, she had decided to help her daughter so she could keep her safe altogether. Presently, Audrey beckons Raven to the room where Bobby had been hiding the laptop.
Audrey continues to lead Bobby on. She makes a fòöl of him and keeps him occupied while Raven sneaks into the room to search for the laptop. Unfortunately, she doesn’t find the laptop there so Audrey leads Booby away to give Raven the chance to search the other room. Again, Raven has no luck finding the laptop so her mother entices Bobby and drags him into his room so Raven could escape.
Jay reports to mayor Troy and assures him that Kyle wouldn’t be able to get information against him regarding his connection to the missing contractor, Joseph Laurena. Attorney Dizon comes upon the scene and she’s appalled to learn that Troy has a hand in what had happened to Philip Constantino, as well as the collapse of the arts building which had led to the dëåths of many.
Troy laments over how his father had forced him to follow his orders when he had been young. “That’s why I did all that good, for all those years. Because I wanted to compensate for all the mistakes I made.”
“But do you really need to have someone follow your daughter just to cover your tracks?” Laura asks woefully.
“I just got her back,” Troy wails. “Rica has just started accepting me. And if she finds out that I have any involvement with the death of Philip Constantino, it’s over. You know how much I love my daughter, Laura. I don’t wanna lose her.”
Raven goes to the backyard and finds the laptop sitting in the trashcan, ready for the taking. Bingo. Meanwhile, Bobby eagerly asks Audrey to wait for him while he takes care of something. He hurries to the backyard, only to find the laptop gone. When he returns to his room, Audrey has also disappeared. Man seethes like nobody’s business and runs out of the house.
Kyle and Rica deliberate on how to find Joseph Laurena. Rica suggests that they ask attorney Laura to recommend an investigator. Kyle isn’t up for the idea since the attorney is a close friend of the mayor. Speaking of, Laura strives to make Troy see the errors of his ways. She gives him a pieces of her mind and after she’s left, Troy receives a phone call from Zhenny who tells him that his wife and daughter have gotten into an accident.
Troy hurries over to the place the incident had occurred and he’s fortunate and relieved to find that Raven and Audrey hadn’t been injured in any way. As he reunites with them, Bobby alerts his father of how Raven and Audrey had taken the laptop containing Jigs’ “disgusting videos”. He berates his son and blames him. Meanwhile, Raven recounts how she had crashed the car when Bobby had been chasing them earlier.
Jigs refuses to believe that his dear cousin could ever betray him, and Bobby gives him a reality check and tries to make him see how they have been betrayed. He then implies that Troy might have his laptop by now. Audrey mentions that Bobby had stopped pursuing them because the accident had drawn a crowd.
Troy asks why Bobby had been chasing them and Raven hands him the laptop, saying that it contains the unedited video of Jigs and Rica. Troy is speechless. Alberto takes out his anger on Bobby and blames him for losing the laptop. Jigs fears that he would be imprisoned and Alberto assures him that that won’t happen because Rica has no case against him.
He orders Jigs to resign from office and leave the country with his father before the evidence comes out. At the Sicats, Nico strives to convince his younger sister to give Pogs a chance before he gives up on her. Bea gets worked up and asks if Pogs is really giving up on her.
“When it comes to him you always overreact,” Nico mentions. “But when it comes to mom, you won’t swallow your pride.”
“I wanted to apologize. I just really don’t know how to start…Did Pogs really tell you he’s giving up on me?”
Mayor Troy arrives with attorney Dizon just then, and Rica is surprised to see Raven with them. A moment later, Troy and Laura tell the family of the unedited video which proves rãpë without a doubt. Outside, Rica approaches Raven and thanks her for doing something so risky to help her. Raven laments over how she had blindly believed in one of the most important people in her life and turned a blind eye to his misdeeds.
“I know that retrieving Jigs’ laptop won’t make up for what I allowed to happen, so you should not be thanking me, Rica. I don’t deserve it.”
Rica sighs. “All this time, I’ve felt so alone. People don’t want to hear me out. But now that I have the full video, maybe they’ll finally listen. So why wouldn’t I want to thank you, Raven?”
“Rica, I am sorry,” Raven sobs. “For everything. I am so sorry.”
Rica and Raven both break down into tears and cue in a hug to cement their union. Later that night, Troy returns home and updates his wife about the case. He expresses his gratitude to her for the part she had played in retrieving the laptop. Audrey admits that she had been compelled to help Raven because for once in her life, she felt the urgency to protect her. On that note, she comes to understand how selfish she’s been all this time.
Audrey beats herself up for being such a terrible mother for so long. Troy sympathizes with her and assures her that their daughter would definitely give her the chance to make it up to her. Jigs reflects on some memories with Raven and he snaps and begins wrecking his room. Back at the mayor’s, Audrey recounts how she had turned a blind eye to the evidences against Jigs because of their family relation and who the victim was.
“I never allowed myself to feel any sympathy towards her,” Audrey laments. “What have I done? Even when his mom left, I should have stepped in. I should have guided Jigs, so that he would have grown up respecting women. But I enabled him. If I only knew about it. It’s all my fault.”
“Hey, it’s not your fault,” Troy states as he hugs his wife. “It’s not your fault. All of us made mistakes. I should have helped him, but I included him in my grudge against Bobby. One way or another, we’re all responsible. Because we enabled him.”
Audrey cries, inconsolable.
“It’s okay,” Troy soothes. “It’s okay.”
