“What have you done? I wasn’t the one who got affected by your actions. It’s Rica, Audrey. You punished Rica with your actions!”
While Rica reflects on her argument with Kyle earlier at Balai Arkitektura, Kyle hangs out on the rooftop of the Constantine and ponders over what Axel had said to him earlier. As if on cue, Axel joins him and surprises him by telling him that he would help him find the answers about his father.
He admits that they both need closure before they can move on. Axel then urges his buddy not to let the issue ruin his relationship with Rica. Kyle asks Axel if he ships them and they both laugh over the use of the term, stating that it’s something that comes natural to Chino.
At the Sicats, Karla reflects on the beginning of her relationship with her husband. A drunk buddy of Dan’s had been harassing Karla so Dan had been compelled to give him a pretty good beating. Some other guys gãñg up on him but Dan effortlessly beats them up and Karla knocks down the last of them with a makeshift wëapoñ.
Dan excitedly prompts Karla to thank him for taking down three men by himself but Karla taunts him, saying that she didn’t ask him for his help and she could have taken care of herself just fine. Dan smiles in response, saying that he might be in lövê. Karla tells him not to waste his time on her because she doesn’t fall in lövê with troublemakers.
Dan promises to be a good guy and Karla laughs at him mockingly.
“But what if I can prove it to you? Will you give me a chance?”
Karla regards him for a moment. “I’m sure you can’t do it.”
“Be ready to eat your words, Kakay. Because I can do anything when it comes to you.”
Presently, as Karla reflects on the memory, Raylin dashes over to show her the trending article of her past life. The headline identifies her as the mother of Rica and accuses her of using men for money. At Krystel’s party, Bea is ridiculed by the school bullies, Jen and her accomplice, who make mockery of her with her mother’s online article.
Meanwhile, Nico runs into some neighborhood drunks who also mock him and begin passing nasty comments about his mother. Bea tells the girls that the things in the article are all lies and when Jen taunts her with the photos, Bea yells at her, saying that the photos are as fake as her mouth.
That statement garners a reaction from everyone around. Jen deliberately steps on Bea’s foot so Bea pushes her away and she ends up falling. Jen then takes advantage to berate her family and the others begin passing dirty comments too, compelling Bea to run off.
Pogs angrily goes after the drunk and his buddies and as they struggle, Dan shows up with his wife and breaks things up. After Nico snubs Karla when she tries to show concern towards him, she confronts the misërãble drunk and demands that he keep her children out of it and say everything he wants to say right to her face.
Rica shows up as her mother begins pounding the drunk. Dan holds off his wife before Rica drags her away.
“You cowards!” Karla cries out. “You’re nothing but cowards!”
Troy has a talk with Laura on the phone about Karla’s issue. He suspects that his father might have instigated it in an attempt to frustrate their chances of getting an appeal for Rica’s case. As they talk some more, Audrey suddenly shows up and admits to being the one who had told Cindy to post the photos and articles online to get back at him.
Apparently, she had thought that he was leaving her because of Karla, and he didn’t want him to be happy.
“What have you done?” Troy hisses. “I wasn’t the one who got affected by your actions. It’s Rica, Audrey. You punished Rica with your actions!”
“I know,” Audrey merely says. “And I tried to stop Cindy, but I was already too late.”
Troy looks on helplessly.
“I couldn’t stop being angry, hating,” Audrey laments. “Isn’t it funny? Karla Sicat had to be the one to make me realize those things, and the things I couldn’t admit to myself. I’m sorry, Troy. I’m truly sorry.”
Things couldn’t get any more intense at the Sicats as Rica relates with her mother. Karla painstakingly reveals her past life as an escort to her kids. Nico ignores her while Bea lashes out at her, blaming her for making their lives difficult with her actions. When Dan shuts Bea up and she storms out, he goes to console his distressed wife.
Upon discovering the article about Karla, Kyle tries to reach Rica on phone but doesn’t succeed. Bea returns to her room to meet her sister. She makes note of how they had both blamed their mother for how people have been judging them.
Rica reflects on the incident and admits that she regrets everything she said to her. She says they shouldn’t judge their mother because they have no idea what she had been going through at the time. Rica then goes on about how Karla had showered them with the kind of support she never had growing up.
Nico is sulking and crying outside when his mother joins him and mentions that he hasn’t looked at her all night. Karla laments over how she had always feared losing his respect, adding that her heart would just shatter into a million pieces if that ever happens. With that, Karla gets up and begins walking away.
Nico looks her way, calls out to her and goes to hug her. Meanwhile, Raven is seated alone at the bar when Axel joins her. Fiscal Leticia tolerates her nasty opinionated friend as she makes mockery of Karla on account of her trending article. She receives a text message from an unknown number, telling her that she would end up like Karla if she doesn’t junk the rãpë complaint of Ella.
Back at the club, Axel figures out that Raven has a problem so he convinces her to confide in him. Raven asks how someone would hide a video they really want to keep a secret and Kyle says he might store it on an external drive or keep it in a safe.
“It depends on how desperate you are to hide it.”
Raven reflects on her last encounter with Jigs at his house.
“Or… a hidden folder,” Axel adds.
“You’re right,” Raven agrees. “Thanks.”
Karla comes clean to her husband about how Romeo Dimayuga has been stalking her. She suspects that he’s the one behind the scandal to get back at her and the mayor. Dan then realizes why the guards were posted outside by the mayor.
Karla says she hadn’t told him before because the last time she brought up her past, he had said that it was too difficult for him to hear. Karla fears that her issue could make the justice department junk Rica’s case and Dan consoles her.
Kyle passes by Bea on his way to the house where he meets Karla. Karla asks if he and Rica are doing okay. She recounts the reaction she had seen on his face the last time he had seen Rica and the mayor together. Karla assures him that the mayor is a good person.
She makes mention of how he had saved her from the man who had been abusing her and relates with Kyle’s determination to find answers about his dad. Karla urges Kyle to also fight for her daughter and not give up on her because she’s been going through so much.
Kyle says he had come to let Rica know that nothing would change between them no matter what, adding that he wants them to search for the answers together. Rica overhears and comes over. She professes that she wants the same thing too and doesn’t want him to choose between her and her dad.
Kyle says he knows that and that they shouldn’t be fighting with each other.
“And no matter what happens, we’re in this together,” Kyle declares. And with that, Kyle and Rica hug each other.
