Jenny’s Fake Pregnancy Is Exposed. Giselle Takes Pinky In As Her Daughter.
Pinky gives Mrs. Gao confirmation of Jack Hung being her husband who had cheated on her with another woman, Jenny, who used to be her best friend. She sadly recounts how Jack had left her for deãd in the ocean and contributed to her baby’s dëāth.
Giselle is appalled. She urges Pinky to expose Jack’s crimes and not suffer alone and hide from them. However, Pinky states that she can’t expose herself until she’s strong enough to get her rëveñge.
Mrs. Gao makes mention of how her parents are probably struggling to cope with her dëāth and Pinky argues that it would only make things worse for them if she shows up in such a misërãble way.
She vows to make her enemies have a taste of the bitter hell she’s been going through and Giselle sympathizes with her. Meanwhile, Shirleen allows herself to be bossed around by Jenny since she’s of the delusion that she’s responsible for her ‘miscarriage’.
Giselle deliberates on Pinky’s story and relates since she had also gone through a similar ordeal. She vows to make Gordon and his son pay for their sins. In no time, she meets up with Mrs. Lin to confirm Pinky’s story.
Giselle tries to convince Mrs. Lin to keep looking for her daughter since her body hasn’t been found yet. However, Mrs. Lin rather hopes that her daughter isn’t still alive because she had been so misërãble and doesn’t want her to continue suffering when she learns that Jack had remarried.
On Mrs. Gao’s request, Mrs. Lin shows her a photo of her daughter Pinky. Giselle then silently reiterates her vow to have rëveñge on Gordon and Jack. At the Hung residence, Shawn has a talk with his grandparents and innocently asks if they would drive him and his mother out of the house now that his mother’s fake baby is gone.
Gordon asks what he means by that and Shawn reveals that he had overheard when his parents had made up a fake baby so they could marry. Mr. Hung is evidently upset and so is his wife. They storm their daughter-in-law’s room to confront her about their shocking discovery.
Jenny tries to play dumb and Betsy slãps her for good measure and demands that she pack up her stuff and get the hell out of the house. Shirleen is appalled and impressed to learn of how Jenny had fööled them all. Jenny actually goes on her knees and apologizes to Mrs. Hung, promising to do anything as long as she’s forgiven.
Jack makes a futile attempt to convince his mother to give in, and when Gordon shows up again to demand that Jenny leave, Jenny pleads with them to let Shawn stay so he can be taken care of and be well educated.
As if on cue, Shawn comes to plead with his grandparents not to kick his mother out of the house. Mr. and Mrs. Hung are then compelled to give in. Shirleen then criticizes Jack and Jenny for allowing their child to cry and beg for mercy for them.
Pinky apologizes to Mrs. Gao for all the trouble she’s caused her, only for the older woman to tell her that from now on, she can continue using her daughter’s name. Windsor is taken by surprise, even as his mother urges him to help her out.
Later, Giselle tells her son about Pinky’s sad story and goes on about how fate brought them together so she could help her. Windsor eventually agrees to support his mother’s decision.
Windsor asks his mother if she has any ulterior motive for helping out Pinky and Giselle claims that she doesn’t. Later that night, Windsor takes Pinky on a tour in Shannon’s art studio.
Pinky expresses her appreciation and promises not to cause his family anymore trouble. The next morning at the Hung residence, Jenny tries to help out with the chores at home but she’s snubbed by Betsy, Pauline and Shirleen. Jenny then vows to make sure that everyone obeys her orders.
Mrs. Gao resolves to take Pinky through some drills and transformation from her timid self into a more confident version of herself. A knock sounds at the door and when Giselle sees that it’s Mrs. Lin, she sends Pinky upstairs to get ready for work.
Giselle then goes out to see Mrs. Lin who has brought her some food and offers to help her do some cleaning. Mrs. Gao turns down her offer as she claims to have some guests inside. Jenny makes deliberate efforts to get in the good graces of her family. She manages to convince Mrs. Hung to drop by her salon so she could give her some skin care.
Pauline is excited to tag along. Meanwhile, Mrs. Gao gives Pinky the card of a bank account she had opened for her and asks her to use the money whenever she needs it. She then decides to take her shopping so she could have a more modern appearance like Shannon.
Mrs. Gao informs Pinky that she’s signed her up with a swimming club. Pinky points out her fear of swimming and Giselle notes that she needs to learn to overcome her fears. At Venus, Ethan pays Jenny a surprise visit and criticizes her over how she had stolen her best friend’s husband.
Stating that today is her parents’ dëāth anniversary, Ethan makes it crystal clear to her that he and his parents would not continue paying tribute on her behalf. Jenny trivializes the matter much to Ethan’s disbelief. She taunts him with how his parents haven’t been doing it for free.
Apparently, the Lin family had been given the compensation fee of Jenny’s parents. Ethan grabs Jenny’s wrist and recounts how his parents treated her like one of their own. As Jenny tries to break free of his grasp, Mrs. Hung shows up with Pauline in tow.
When Ethan leaves, Betsy confronts Jenny and asks if she’s cheating on her son. Jenny tries to explain but Betsy won’t hear it. Pauline excitedly goes after Ethan and goes on about how she and Pinky were close. She convinces him to give her his cellphone number so she could call him if she starts missing Pinky.
Pauline asks if there’s a phone in heaven because she wants to talk to Pinky. Ethan relates with her and Mrs. Hung comes to drag her away, calling Ethan a thug. Jenny then confronts Ethan and asks what he wants.
