“What? I didn’t order anyone to k!ll Lucas. How could you accuse me of such a crime? You know I’d never k!ll anyone, not even Lucas. No matter how much I want that monster gone, I could never do that.”
Vanessa came home and was åttaçked by Lucas who accused her of betraying him after giving her everything. She pleaded with him to have mercy and he reminded her that she of all people should know he doesn’t show mercy to anyone. Vanessa said she doesn’t know what he’s talking about and Lucas asked her to drop her act as he showed her the photo of her and Conrad but she said she can explain.
Lucas took her phone and told her she won’t leave the house alone and there will be a guard with her at all times. She can no longer go anywhere without letting him know and without getting his permission and is not allowed to talk to anyone.
Vanessa begged him and he told her if she doesn’t like the way he run things then she should pack her things and get out. Seeing her silent Lucas asked whether she’s got anymore complaint and she shook her head. Negative.
Kiko came to see Jordan at the hospital and Jordan who wasn’t happy asked why Kiko came back. Kiko told his son he knows why he’s acting strange. He brought up Jordan’s change of behavior in the past few days and thinks he’s only doing that to trick Lucas so Lucas can think he’s no longer on Lena’s side.
Since he can’t deny it, Jordan confirmed to his father that he’s doing that for them and Lena. Jordan says he just wants to put an end to everything. He thinks despite the Narcisos doing bad to them, they’re still walking around freely.
Jordan told Kiko his reasons why he wants to be near Lucas and said once he gets what he wants they’ll get justice against the Narcisos. Kiko wanted to change Jordan’s mind because he thinks what his son is about to do is dangerous but Jordan’s mind is already made up.
Kiko reminded Jordan he’ll need someone as his backup and offered to help his son. Jordan tried to reject his off but the old man insisted. Meanwhile, Lucas called his man and asked him to confirm whether Jordan has indeed cut ties with Lena. He wanted to know ASAP because some of his people are turning their backs on him.
At least he needs someone who knows one of his enemies.The next day after enquiring about Jordan from the security of M&R cooperation, Lucas’s man was told Jordan no longer works in M&R so he called his boss to report what he discovered.
Jordan came to Royal Wellness and Lucas asked why he’s there. He said he wants to tell Lucas to stop bugging him and Lucas asked why is he acting proud. He asked whether Jordan is rich or has a job and Jordan said no.
Lucas told Jordan that he doesn’t want to be indebted to anyone so he’ll compensate Jordan for saving his life but Jordan said he’s good and they’re even now.
Lucas said he’s Lucas Narciso, hence the one who gets to decide whether they’re even. He told Jordan if he doesn’t want money then he’ll be his personal assistant, driver and bodyguard. He mentioned how much he’s gonna pay him and told him to report to him tomorrow.
Jordan said he should have asked him whether he wants to be his personal assistant, driver and bodyguard. Without giving him any answers, Lucas told Jordan to report to him tomorrow and walks off.
The next day, Jordan reported to work as expected and when Adrian saw him at the company he asked what he’s doing at the company and Lucas said Jordan is his personal assistant, driver and bodyguard. He says that someone tried to end his life and he needed a bodyguard he can trust.
Vanessa asked whether he can trust Lena’s friend and Lucas asked why she’s questioning his decision. Lucas told Jordan to get the car ready and then turned to tell Adrian and Vanessa that having Jordan here means Lena and Ramona have one less ally and he can use Jordan against the women.
Vanessa was worried Jordan might discover the truth about Adrian and Adrian thinks it’s weird Jordan is working for his dad. He told Vanessa they have to find out what Jordan is up to.
Lucas asks Jordan to prove to him that Lena was not the one who had tried to have him k!lled. Jordan says Lena doesn’t have it in her to k!ll someone so he should be wary of those closest to him.
Adrian confronts Conrad over how he had tried to have Lucas k!lled. He demands that he leave his family alone but Conrad won’t have any of it. He reveals that his mom needs him because his father has been abusing him but Adrian won’t believe him.
Jordan talks to his father on phone and asks him to get some proof to show that it wasn’t Lena who tried to have Lucas k!lled. He wants to make it seem like he had stolen the evidence so Lucas would believe him. Kiko agrees to his plan.
Meanwhile, Ramona and Martina have a talk with Tomas about Don Luis and Lucas. He’s beginning to doubt the accusation against Ramona and Ramona assures him that she wasn’t the one who had k!lled Don Luis. When he leaves to get a glass of water, Ramona examines a photo frame.
“Isn’t that Helen?”
“Yes,” Martina replies.
When Tomas returns, Ramona questions him about the photo. He’s reluctant to answer at first but then Martina talks him out of covering for his former boss who had fired him without good reason.
“Who is that woman there?” Ramona asks.
“…Helen was her name.”
“But why was Lucas with Helen that day?” Martina asks.
“She was one of the many girlfriends of Sir Lucas,” Tomas reveals.
Lena receives a visit from Perla a friend of her late mother. She gladly entertains her and asks if she happens to know who her father is. Perla says she does know. Meanwhile, Tomas affirms the short relationship Lucas and Helen had had which seems to take both women by surprise. Tomas then leaves to get another glass of water.
Ramona is at a loss for words. “Could it be that Lucas and Lena are…”
“It’s possible.”
Ramona gets her hands on a handkerchief which she believes belongs to Lucas. “Let’s have a paternity test done on him and Lena. Lucas could be Lena’s father.”
Ramona and Martina return to M&R to meet Perla in the company of Lena and co. Perla recounts her time with Helen and goes on about how she had met Lena’s father. She claims that he was a soldier in the north who had been planning to marry Helen.
Ramona asks of where James Hidalgo is staying and Perla reveals that he had died after an encounter with some rebels. Lena soaks it up but takes comfort in the fact that she now knows. Ramona and Martina look on silently.
Lucas confronts his wife over her relationship with Conrad and Vanessa plays dumb. Adrian isn’t happy with how his dad has been treating his mother and Vanessa talks him out of doing anything about it since she believes that their troubles would soon pass. At M&R, Lena is in a good mood because she’s finally gotten to know who her real father is.
Supposedly. She’s happy that he was a good person and has even made a picture frame of him and her mother together. Miguel confides in Lena about his troubling past and how he had tried to please Lucas after he had taken him in. Lena has to remind herself to not feel sympathy for him because he had ruined her life.
At Royal Wellness, Jordan hands Lucas proof of Lena’s innocence regarding the attempt on his life. Lucas is skeptical to believe it. Jordan reveals that Totoy the hired k!ller was working for a drüg lord known as Fernando Castro. Lucas asks how he had gotten the info and Jordan says he had hacked into the police database.
Jordan tells Lucas that he can verify the authenticity of the info if he wants to. He also reveals that he had hacked Totoy’s bank account and found out that he had received one hundred thousand pesos from an unknown account from a bank located in Macau.
Jordan states that Lena doesn’t have that kind of connection to contract k!llers, and neither does she have a bank account in Macau. Lucas speculates that it could be a secret account but Jordan insists his case. To prove his point, Jordan calls Lena on phone right there and then. Lena excitedly answers.
“I just called to thank you.”
“For what?” Lena asks.
“For avenging my mother. I know that you were the one who ordered the hit on Lucas Narciso.”
“What? I didn’t order anyone to k!ll Lucas.”
“Don’t deny it. You couldn’t tell me in the hospital because my father was there. But I know that you did that for rëveñge. You’re the only one I know who has motive to have Lucas k!lled.”
Lena is in disbelief. “I know we’re not on good terms, but how could you accuse me of such a crime? You know I’d never k!ll anyone, not even Lucas. No matter how much I want that monster gone, I could never do that.”
Jordan silently observes Lucas before apologizing to Lena. Once off the phone, Lucas accuses Jordan of being behind everything since he had mentioned that he wanted to seek rëveñge for what had happened to his mother.
Jordan notes that he’s having a hard time paying for the rent for his apartment, adding that only the rich have the means to hire a contract k!ller to avoid getting their hands dirty. Jordan says if he wanted revenge he wouldn’t have targeted him.
Lucas asks Jordan who he suspects ordered for the ãttaçk on his mother, and Jordan says he can’t say because he doesn’t have the proof. However, he insinuates that they both have the same suspect in mind. Lucas asks of the parents of Lena and he’s shocked when he learns that her mother was Helen Mendoza.
