“Did you bring me here to leave me by myself? I’m all alone. What if there are goblins there?”
The armed men continue gûnñing down the vice president’s security men. Lucas seems happy about the situation as he hides in the comfort of his vehicle.
Conveniently, he manages to get away without a single scratch, just as one of the ättaçkers shout “long live Vendetta!” loud enough for some passersby to hear them. It’s no doubt that Homer is the scoundrel behind the mask.
The goons then drive off into the night. So lame and pathetic. Alyana worries about her husband’s absence. Actually, she’s worried that he’s left her alone to deal with the spirits and goblins. She fears that an evil spirit could show up any second now.
Anyway, Javier intrudes on a conversation between Cardo and his buddies. He begins making fun of our favorite hero and Cardo indulges him. Alyana is now upset and wants Cardo to come home at once. She doesn’t waste time confronting him.
“Don’t you think you should go home?”
Cardo, Javier and the other guys look on silently.
“Did you bring me here to leave me by myself?” Alyana grumbles. “I’m all alone. What if there are goblins there?”
Javier and his gãñg burst into laughter, and Cardo excuses himself to leave with his wife. Once in the hut, Cardo expresses his dislike over how he had been fetched and when Alyana rants about how scared she was to be left alone, he apologizes.
Still, Alyana criticizes him some more and Cardo teases her, saying that she had fetched him because she missed him. Alyana begs to differ and gets in Cardo’s face before storming over to bed. Cardo can’t seem to stop smiling and chuckling.
General Borja is notified of the ambush on the vice president. At the crime scene, Jerome and Soriano question some witnesses and soon discover that one of the cars had been riddled with bullets in a V shape.
Back in the hut at Santo Nino, Cardo strives to get Alyana to forgive him but Mrs. Dalisay gives him attitude and pretends to be snoring. Meanwhile, General Borja comes to see the vice president, and he and his wife put on a quiet pathetic show.
Delfin asks Lucas if he recognized any of the guñmën who had ambushed him and Lucas accuses Vendetta. Evidently bored, Delfin asks if he had indeed recognized Romulo, Diana and Cardo among the group and the vice president and his equally rotten wife take offense and begin accusing the General of trying to cover up for his grandson.
Frustrated, Delfin states that they have to ask questions because they’re doing an investigation. Catherine and Lucas do some more trash talking again.
“No way will the Vendetta be captured as long as Dalisy’s grandfather is handling the investigation,” Lucas taunts.
Delfin is unfazed. “I’m an officer of the law. We will endeavor to find those who perpetrated the ambush on you.”
Lucas talks to his son on phone and urges him to stop looking for Alyana lest he too become Cardo and the Vendetta’s target. Psyçhö Marco declares that he’s ready for our favorite hero.
As Lucas tries to reason with him, Marco bears for a little while before hanging up. At Santo Nino, Alyana can’t seem to take her eyes off Cardo as he helps out some folks with the preparation for the fiesta.
President Hidalgo has nothing better to do than to call his shady vice to check up on him. Lucas takes him for a ride and feigns concern for the families of the men he had lost. He declares that the Vendetta was behind the ãttaçk but Oscar is doubtful.
Once off the phone, Lucas gloats with Hipolito over the success of their plan. Hipolito is quite confident that once the president sees the evidence they had planted, Lucas would definitely regain his trust.
During the cooking for the fiesta, Alyana recounts to grandma and Elizabeth how Cardo used to take care of her and their son back then, as well as how he had left the SAF to be with them.
Elizabeth is impressed, and she asks Alyana why she’s finding it so hard to forgive him since no one is perfect. Grandma Flora and her family are quite emotional about their move to their new home. The Dalisays sadly set off as Councilor Gina spies happily.
Captain Dingding makes deliberate efforts to keep the calm and serenity in her neighborhood, only for a couple to argue openly just when the Dalisays arrive. Dingding restores order and warmly receives Grandma Flora and her family who soon begin unpacking their stuff.
Meanwhile, Catherine fears for her dear husband as she worries that the police might find evidence that would prove that he had staged the ambush. Lucas doesn’t seem bothered.
General Borja and his men deliberate on the current case, with Jerome and Soriano speculating that the Vendetta are being framed again since the ättaçkers had been wearing masks. Now it’s Billy’s turn to speculate that the incident could have been staged by the vice president himself.
Delfin and his men hope they can find evidence that proves so. The fiesta at Santo Nino begins with some games and dances. Cardo and Alyana are obviously delighted to participate.
“Have you heard anything on Dalisay?” Earthworm asks at the hideout.
“Whatever Dalisay may be involved in,” begins the commander. “I’m confident he can handle it. What worries me more is our enemies, because I’m sure they’re planning something again.”
Lucas comes to see Brandon in prison to tell him of his plan. He believes he would regain Oscar’s trust in no time. Brandon wants the president to be k!illed already so he can get out of prison but Lucas doesn’t want to rush their plan lest it backfire on them.
Speaking of, the president has a talk with his wife about the ambush and expresses his doubts. In no time, Lucas pays Oscar a visit and strives to instill more doubts in him. The rascal even tries to make the president exclude General Borja from the investigation.
The Vendetta and the Flower Power Girls deliberate on a way to get to William. The scoundrel in question observes as the vice president continues with his act and tries to make the president believe that Brandon had been set up by the Vendetta.
While the Dalisays are busy with some cleaning and getting their new home in good order, Javier sets his abominable eyes on Alyana again while Cardo is preoccupied with some stuff and he makes his presence felt this time.
Psyçhö Marco shows up at the Arevalo residence to offer his ‘apology’ for what happened the other day. Virgie tolerates his folly but Teddy isn’t one to be swayed or fööled by false humbleness. Still, Marco continues with his pathetic act and promises to bring Alyana home to them.
By the way, Alyana unusually comes to check up on her husband and gladly accepts to go with him to watch an oral contest later. Cardo reminisces about his simple life in Botolan as Lori looks on.
“I’m also missing the life we spent together.”
Alyana stares at Cardo for a moment before offering to help him serve the people much faster. However, our favorite hero declines, saying that he can manage. Also, he says the weather is hot and she might hurt herself with the knife.
On that note, he asks her to go and sit down so he would serve her some roast. Back at the Arevalos, Teddy tells his would-be son-in-law that they would let him know once they hear any news about their daughter.
“Thank you,” Marco says good-naturedly.
“Thanks to you too,” Virgie retorts. “You take care.”
“Yes. I will.” Psyçhö Marco turns away and puts on that sinister and crazed look. And this is what he thinks to himself: “If I find out that you really are keeping Alyana from me…you will deeply regret it.”
