“So what did you dream about? My goodness, Alyana. You shouldn’t go wandering around in unfamiliar places. Don’t you know? There are lots of spirits lurking in the area. They live in the trees.”
Alyana steals away from her sleeping husband and tiptoes out of the hut. Ironic enough, Cardo suddenly wakes and follows her discreetly. After she’s put some distance between them, Cardo signals his buddies and together, they stealthily tail Alyana as she strives to get away.
She hurries to the terminal and makes a futile attempt to get onboard the jeepney. While Cardo and his buddies continue to observe unnoticed, Alyana approaches some food vendors to task for help but they snub her and quickly carry their stuff inside.
Though somewhat surprised by the treatment, she carries on and tries to ask help from another eatery. Much to her disbelief, the customers quickly disperse and Cardo can’t help but to smile as the food vendor quickly runs off.
Alyana smells her armpit and tells herself that she doesn’t smell bad. She carries on again as Cardo and his buddies shadow her with delight. She goes to a store and before she can ask the owner for help, the woman cuts her off and chases her off.
Alyana then turns to some nearby people and they too run off when she tries to approach them. As she looks on dumbfounded, Cardo and his buddies celebrate the success of their plan.
The Flower Power Girls discuss about Cardo’s marriage to Alyana. Majority of them root for our favorite hero to choose Andi over his wife since she’s always been supportive of him, unlike his very own wife.
Andi overhears the conversation. Back at Santo Nino, Cardo hurries into the hut and quickly goes back to bed. When Alyana slips back inside, our favorite hero pretends to wake up as if he had really been asleep.
“Good morning.”
Alyana sighs. “Good morning.”
“How come you’re up early?”
“Ah…I..I had a really bad dream, so I went for a short walk.”
Cardo smirks. “So what did you dream about?”
“….Well…nothing. I just dreamt there was a horrible accident.”
“Ahh…”
As if on cue, Caloy and the other guys show up to offer their ironic greetings before reminding Cardo of the work they have to do at the chapel. Our favorite hero asks his wife not to try to escape while they’re gone. Alyana claims that she could never do that because she’s enjoying her stay in the town. The guys try to contain their laughter.
The troubles of the Dalisay family never seems to end as some men from the city council storm the eatery and begin making a mess of the place. Wally, Paco and the others try to fight them off and keep them from confiscating their stuff.
Grandma Flora and the kids are miserable over the situation. Enter Councilor Gina to show her fake concern for the family. Elmo and Paco accuse her of being behind everything. While Captain Dingding is notified of the ongoing incident, Councilor Gina continues to make mockery of Flora’s family and their predicament.
After Wally and the others exchange words with Gina for a while, Flora calls them all to order and declares that they would clear the place themselves. They proceed to pack up their things as Captain Dingding makes her appearance, with Flora urging the others not to continue arguing with Gina and her cohorts.
Flora declares that Gina and her minions would definitely reap what they sow. She looks on sadly as the things are carried inside. Alyana recounts her failed escape attempt to Doray and Elizabeth, and she can’t seem to understand why people seemed to be so scared of her.
Elizabeth notes that if she really wants to escape, then she would have to walk for 5 hours, cross 3 rivers and climb 2 mountains. Alyana is horrified. She asks for the help of both women, only for Doray to encourage her to give her husband a chance.
While Caloy introduces Cardo to the Chairman at the town hall, Alyana offers to help Doray and Elizabeth with the cooking for the upcoming festival. She reveals her specialty to be spring rolls and recounts how she used to make some for Cardo, and the women tease her with it.
As Oscar spends some quality time with his family, Homer looks forward to carry on more ãttaçks to destroy the reputation of the Vendetta. Over the phone, Lucas charges William to win back the president’s full trust.
“Yes sir,” William says with a sigh.
“Our plan is working. We just need a little push.”
“What do you mean, sir?”
Cardo and his buddies and the other inhabitants of Santo Nino begin with the renovation of the chapel. Lori can’t seem to keep her eyes off our favorite hero as she keeps gushing over him.
Back at the hut, Alyana has decided to stop at nothing until she escapes. Back at the chapel, Lori hopes Cardo doesn’t end up patching things up with his prissy wife so she could have a chance with him. At the Arevalos, Teddy asks Marco to go home because he’s overstayed his welcome.
“I have to find a way to leave this place,” Alyana thinks to herself. “I’ll pretend to be nice to him. That way, I can get the keys to his jeep. That’s the only way to get out of here.”
The Dalisay family is distraught over their predicament, though Grandma Flora seconds Yolly when she urges that they don’t give up. She’s confident that they would surely find other ways to earn money to support themselves.
Meanwhile, Alyana attends to Cardo as soon as he returns and even serves him some snacks. Our favorite hero is evidently surprised by her sudden change in behavior. Cardo hopes to patch things up with her so Alyana resolves to lead him on.
Lucas tells William that it’s time for another round of Vendetta attackys to terrôrizë the First family. William says it won’t be easy because they had gotten additional security. The insufferable Councilor Gina and her minions bask in the misfortune of Grandma Flora and her family.
Meanwhile, Flora decides to find a smaller place for the family to stay on account of their loss of livelihood. At Santo Nino, Alyana is compelled to admit how she had gone to the edge of town, supposedly for just a walk.
“My goodness, Alyana,” Cardo sneers. “You shouldn’t go wandering around in unfamiliar places like this. Don’t you know? There are lots of spirits lurking in the area.”
Alyana looks on, horrified.
“They live in the trees,” Cardo concludes.
“Spirits?”
“Yeah. I grew up in Botolan. There are a lot of strange things happening there that nobody was able to explain.”
“Is that true?” Alyana asks. “Or are you just scaring me?”
“Why would I do that?” Cardo remarks.
“If you knew that there were spirits lurking around, why the heck did you bring me here?”
“That’s why I’m telling you, that you can’t go wandering around by yourself.”
Alyana begins looking around warily as they prepare dinner. “Are we really safe here?”
“Of course we’re safe. I’m here, okay?”
Following her constant denials, Miss Becky bluntly asks her daughter if she has any feelings for Cardo. The girls urge her to confide in them and Andi can do nothing but to cry but that’s more than enough confirmation. While Alyana has dinner with Cardo and engages him in a civilized conversation, psyçhö Marco lurks outside her house in the city.
Suspecting that Teddy knows where Alyana is and wants to ruin his relationship with her, Marco vows not to let him hide her. The members of the Vendetta deliberate on their next line of action and decide to keep an eye on William for the meantime so they could figure out what Lucas and Hipolito are planning next.
Speaking of, Hipolito comes to meet his henchmen to tell them of the change in their plans. As Bubbles observes secretly, Hipolito reveals that they would no longer be threatening the president but someone else. Homer then asks who the unfortunate person is.
