“Are you and dad even okay? How did he take it? You and Uncle Bobby? Is that how a relationship should work? Playing the blame game and getting rëveñge? I will never be like you.”
Rica is sitting at her desk minding her own business when Axel comes over and asks that she accompany him on his hunt for some suppliers. Kyle intrudes and insists that Axel do that himself because Rica is coming with him to meet a prospective client. Axel tries to object but Kyle cuts him off and Rica apologizes to him before leaving with the boss.
Karla dejectedly walks out of the deserted Montecillo house, only to run into Troy. The mayor approaches her and asks her to help him become a part of Rica’s life. He pleads for a chance and Karla surprises him by thanking him for the announcement he had made which goes to show that she’s not alone in the fight after all.
While Dan sets out to Ella’s house on his motorbike, Troy comforts Karla with a hug as she cries. Karla wriggles out of the embrace and Troy pleads some more. A moment later, Dan arrives at the Montecillo house to find it absolutely deserted. Meanwhile, Kyle brings Rica to a restaurant and apologizes for the ambushed meeting with Rose.
Raven goes to see her shæmelëss cousin at the city hall and while they converse, Jigs brings up the affair between his father and her mother, assuming that Raven already knows about it. Raven hasn’t recovered from the shock yet when Archie storms into the office in a drunken stupor.
Rica tells Kyle that she would have to start avoiding him if he still can’t accept the decision she had made on the case for her own piece of mind. Kyle assures her that he wouldn’t bring up the case any longer after the day is over, adding that he would respect her decision from now on. He then recounts how Axel had been there for him when he had been in a similar situation.
“He mostly stayed silent. He didn’t force me to do anything. That really helped me a lot. So I’m going to listen to him. I’ll listen to you. I know I made the right decision, because I can’t stay away from you.”
The prospective client finally shows and Rica seems horrified for some reason. Turns out that the crook had been at the club that night. Anyway, Jigs angrily shoves Archie out of his office and tries to run him off.
In the presence of Raven and some random workers, Archie laments over how Ella had left him because of him. Jigs tries to shut him up but Archie won’t be stopped.
“You were the one who molested her,” Archie wails. “You were the one who violated and rãpëd my girlfriend. But why did she leave me?”
Kyle greets and introduces Mr. Fuerte and steps aside to answer a phone call from his mother. The shady businessman/client tries to harass Rica so she leaves for the washroom where she fishes out her cellphone. The shady client blindsides Rica and tries to take the phone away from her, thinking that she’s calling the cops.
Archie continues lashing out at Jigs. “What did Ella ever do to you? Or maybe you just enjoy räpiñg women. Maybe it’s because you really see all women as trash. Not all women are like your mother.”
“I said shut up!” is all Jigs can say before calling security to throw him out.
Before he’s taken away, Archie tells Raven point-blank that his cousin is a liar. Meanwhile, Kyle walks in on Rica struggling with the shady client and he comes to her defense. Rica decides to have a panic attack there and then and as Kyle checks up on her, shady client pulls out a pocketknife and stäbs him in the shoulder. That snaps Rica out of her daze and she manages to take down the crook with her stun güñ.
A moment later, Kyle narrates the incident to an officer as another takes Mr. Fuerte into custody after tons of coçaiñe had been found in his car. Upset with the humiliation he had suffered earlier, Jigs deploys his lapdogs to hunt down Archie. Speaking of, Archie angrily copies some files onto a flash drive in his room.
At the precinct, Rose and Rica team up to expose shady client as the one who had spiked the drink that night. The shæmelëss guy plays dumb and the officer slaps him with the truth of his misërãble situation – even if it can’t be proven that he had spiked the girls’ drink, he would still go to jail for other charges.
The shady client is dragged away and the girls take comfort in the fact that he would still be jailed. Dan questions his wife about what she’s been up to and she comes clean and even admits the part where she had met the mayor.
She reveals that they had talked about Rica and when Dan asks if there’s something else he should know, Karla replies in the negative. A flashback reveals how Karla had come to an agreement with Troy to help with their daughter’s case.
Raven confronts her mother about her affair with Bobby and Audrey tries to justify her actions. She says it’s not going to happen again and that her grandpa didn’t seem to care about it. Raven then taunts her with how they always try to show themselves off as a perfect family even when they’re falling apart.
Recalling Archie’s words, she asks about Jigs’ mother.
“Are you and dad even okay? How did he take it? You and Uncle Bobby?”
“Are you asking if your dad forgave me? Of course. He was the one who cheated first.”
Raven is appalled. “Is that how a relationship should work? Playing the blame game and getting rëveñge ?”
“You don’t know anything,” Audrey grumbles. “You have no right to judge me and your father, because I know when the time comes, this is exactly how your life will turn out.”
“I will never be like you,” Raven declares.
Rica escorts Kyle home and decides to stay a while to take care of him because of how he had risked his life to protect her. She prepares some snacks for him before going ahead to make him a proper meal. Once it’s ready, she brings it to him in his room.
At the Sicats, Karla has prepared a lot of food for dinner and Nico notes that she gets that way when she’s trying to make up for something wrong she had done. Dan reflects on his conversation with his wife earlier about Rica and the mayor. He suspects something fishy going on.
Speaking of, Rica is compelled to help zip Kyle’s shirt when he struggles to do it by himself because of his wounded shoulder. She asks why he hadn’t just asked for help and Kyle says he didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable. The episode concludes as they both stare at each other.
