“How can I give you your piece of mind? I wish I was the one suffering instead of you. Because this guilt, it’s actually k!lling me. I want to see that your life wasn’t completely ruined because of me. I want to see you fighting and winning.”
Kyle persistently questions Axel about Rica and the guy snubs him and walks away. He ends up bumping into Liam, one of Jigs’ lackeys and the lowlife tries to pick a fight with him. Kyle comes over with Chino just as Jigs shows up with his other lapdogs to make mockery of Kyle and company.
Audrey confronts Bobby and lashes out at him for telling her husband about their affair. Bobby taunts her and urges her to side with him and his father against Troy, and Audrey retorts, saying that she would never choose him. Bobby vows to make her pay.
The guys ignore Jigs’ provocations and try to leave, only for Liam to puñch Chino in the belly. Axel retaliates by puñching Jigs’ lapdog squarely in the face. Jigs walks away as Kyle joins the fight and together, they dominate the crooks before security comes to restore order.
Chino makes deliberate efforts to reconcile Kyle and Axel on account of how they had stood up for each other a while ago in the bar. Without warning, Axel admits to Kyle that he likes Rica just as much as he does.
He tells Kyle to get mad if he wants to but Kyle says he doesn’t own Rica and he just wants to be there for her. Still, Kyle leaves with Chino in a grumpy mood. Troy seeks comfort in Laura and thanks her for not turning her back on him even after what he had done.
Admitting that she had been scared back then, Laura tells Troy that all that matters is that he hadn’t pulled the trigger. Troy goes on about how Laura’s words had guided him to do the right thing.
“For the first time in a long time, I finally experienced freedom,” Troy states. “I can do anything I want to. But my only priority is to fix my relationships with my daughters.”
“Your father will surely bother you,” Laura points out.
“I know. Dad will take rëveñge on me after what I did. And that’s why I need to stay ready.”
Kyle hangs out and broods on the rooftop of the Constantine. He reflects on his father’s suiçidë and startles awake, prompting Axel to hurry over to check up on him. Axel broods at the spot he had taught Rica how to ride a motorbike. For some reason, Rica can’t seem to fall asleep in her room.
The next morning, Karla tries to convince her husband about the necessity of letting Rica face her problems because she herself had also gone through the very same trauma.
She laments over how she could never fight back against her abusers because of the kind of work she had gotten into in the past. Dan is grouchy and kind of annoyed. Troy arrives home to his wife’s nagging because of his disappearance.
Audrey tries to emotionally blackmail him into forgiving her. Troy says he can forgive her but would still break away from his father. Audrey fears that Alberto would ruin their family, and Troy tries to convince her to side with him.
“This is our chance,” Troy declares. “I know it might seem impossible, delusional, but it’s not. It’s not impossible.”
“You’re right.”
Troy and Audrey turn to the one who had just spoken. Raven. She takes her parents by surprise as she reveals how her grandpa had paid her a visit in the middle of the night so she could talk some sense into her father.
Audrey takes the opportunity to argue her case some more, only for Raven to declare her support for her father. She however makes it clear that she can’t support him with Rica’s case against Jigs because she believes her damn cousin is innocent.
Bobby lashes out at Jigs for the incident at the bar last night after the mayor’s damning announcement. As Jigs argues that he hadn’t gotten into any kind of trouble, a phone call comes in from Troy’s secretary about one of Jigs’ projects which the mayor had taken over. Jigs is very upset.
At the Sicats, Karla figures out that Dan had ordered one of his boys to spy on her. She manages to trick the guy and easily slips out of the house. Outside, Karla boards a tricycle as mayor Troy looks on.
At Balai Arkitektura, Chino makes deliberate efforts to get through to Kyle and Axel. He talks to Rose vaguely about the situation and almost slips up about the identity of the guys who had fallen for the same girl.
“These two friends of mine are like brothers. They can’t let their friendship be ruined.”
Rose makes a face. “Don’t you have anyone else to talk to, Chino?”
“Didn’t you hear what I said? This is a national emergency, Rose.”
Rose’s demeanor changes when she spots Rica coming over. A moment later, Rica goes after her and apologizes for snapping at her yesterday.
Rose goes on about the nightmares that have been tormenting her because of the guy who had tried to drüg her. She also reveals that she’s been having nightmares about Rica and thinking about her family and career.
“How can I give you your piece of mind?” Rose laments. “My mind is telling me I wish I was the one suffering instead of you. Because this guilt, it’s actually k!lling me. That’s why I’m so concerned about the decisions you’re making. Because I want to see that you’re doing fine.
That your life wasn’t completely ruined because of me.”
“None of this is your fault,” Rica wails.
“I know that, Rica. My mind knows that. But if you look inside my heart…the reason I want to see you fighting and winning is because I am hoping it would somehow lessen the pain and the guilt that I’m feeling.
It would be an encouragement for me, that if the same thing happened to me, I would somehow manage to fight the battle and win just like you did.” Karla arrives at the Montecillo residence and decides to go through the unlocked front door when no one answers her calls. She finds the place empty and deserted.
Meanwhile, Archie reads a goodbye note from Ella, stating her reason to leave and her inability to come forward to let people know that Rica has been telling the truth about Jigs.
In the letter, Ella expresses her sorrow over how Archie had put her in the tough spot of protecting him over helping a woman who had also become a victim just like she had. Since she couldn’t bring herself to be mad at him, she decided to leave with her mother. Archie is miserable and he cries his heart out after reading Ella’s letter. https://youtu.be/83krThTEqwQ
