“I feel like I’m walking on a landmine, not knowing when you’ll explode. Didn’t you even consider talking nicely to Rica instead of shouting at her like that?”
Bea excitedly records herself, going on and on about being in the mayor’s house and the fact that Raven is her idol. Even more excited she gets when Audrey brings her a skirt of Raven’s. Bea gladly puts on the skirt and has her bother Nico take some photos by the poolside.
Karla then comes to take the kids away. Inside, Troy gets in Dan’s face, telling him that Rica shouldn’t feel the need to refuse money that’s rightfully hers just so she can protect his pride.
Upset, Dan throws a mean puñch and Troy retaliates as Rica desperately strives to get them to stop.
The commotion brings in Karla, Audrey and the kids who also make futile attempts to stop the fight. Dan trades kicks and pûnçhes with the mayor. Ultimately, he bests Troy and continues pounding him silly. Cue in the mayor’s bodyguards to come running in with their guñs at the ready.
Troy calls them off and Karla leaves with her husband and the kids. Rica reaches for her dad’s busted lip, asking if he’s okay and Dan angrily reacts and shoves her hand away. Rica stares at Dan in shock for a while before breaking into tears and running off.
Outside, she finds Kyle and has her take her away from the place. Once at home, Karla compels Bea to get rid of Raven’s skirt. Karla approaches Dan and tries to treat his wounds, but the guy explodes. He demands to know why they had kept from him how Troy was trying to force himself into their lives.
Karla retorts emotionally, saying that she hadn’t told him because she feared how he would react. She then admonishes him for his reckless actions in the presence of the kids at the mayor’s house earlier.
“When I’m around you, I feel like I’m walking on a landmine, not knowing when you’ll explode. Didn’t it even cross your mind that the bodyguards could shoot you? Didn’t you even consider talking nicely to Rica instead of shouting at her like that?”
Dan apportions the blame to the Ramones family, as well as the house they’re living in. He then laments over how everyone has been trying to bring down their family despite being at their lowest.
At the rooftop of the Constantine, Rica confides in Kyle and reflects on how Dan had treated her earlier. She laments over how she had risked her relationship with her dad for someone who couldn’t lövê her unconditionally. Kyle consoles Rica and gives her moral support.
At the Ramones residence, Audrey admits knowing about the necklace and the trust fund. Troy is apologetic but Audrey says she understands, though she would prefer if she’s not kept in the dark about such important things again.. A phone call comes in from Attorney Dizon and Troy excuses himself to answer.
Laura briefs the mayor about her almost-successful hunt for the technician. Reminding him that they can’t trust Audrey with the case since they know where her loyalty lies, Laura charges him to be careful around her if he wants Rica to win the case.
Meanwhile, Chino joins a downcast Axel at a bar and blabbers about the recent happenings between Rica and Kyle.
“And Kyle,” Chino begins. “Once Rica decides to give him a chance, he’ll get serious for sure. Eventually, you’ll be the only single guy left in our group. Aren’t you getting tired of all the fun and games, dude?”
Rica apologizes to Kyle for snapping at him again at the office and casually leaning her head on his shoulder like he doesn’t have anything better to do.
Kyle says he’d rather be there with her. He apologizes for the professional thing, admitting that he had initially thought keeping his distance would have been better for her. He then goes on about how he had added to her confusion despite his best intentions. Rica asks if that’s the only reason.
Kyle reflects on his talk with Axel the other day. Rica takes responsibility for venting out everything on him, and Kyle declares that the rooftop is no longer off limits to them. After exchanging smiles, Rica writes a ‘thank you’ on the wall and Kyle replies with ‘noted’.
Meanwhile, Axel reflects on how Kyle had beaten him to the chase to help Rica get home earlier in the day. Bea expresses on her disappointment and disbelief over her father’s decision to have them move out of the house.
Rica arrives home as her sister laments over the fact that they would be moving into an uglier and cheaper house. Karla tries to reason with her but she walks out on her.
In no time, the Sicats pack up their stuff to move out. Dan snubs Rica when she attempts to help him. Soon after, Rica has a session with Dr. Irene at the clinic.
Attorney Dizon’s henchman knocks out a particular guy and conceals him from the wanted technician. The target argues on phone with Jigs and demands for an increase in the money they’ve been giving him. Lo and behold, Laura and her henchman corner the guy.
At the clinic, Rica bumps into the girl with the dragonfly tattoo, a.k.a Ella. She asks why she’s acting so suspicious and Ella tells her that her mother would get mad at her if she catches her eating chips. Laura blackmails the technician into cooperating with her with information about his missing daughter.
Back at the clinic, Ella hangs out with Rica and goes on and on about the kinds of food she’s not allowed to eat because of her condition. She expresses her hopelessness of her situation and Rica cheers her on to keep fighting. Ella recounts how she had almost given up, as well as how her boyfriend had convinced her to get treatment.
“I wish I had your confidence,” Ella notes.
“Oh, c’mon. Who else can we depend on in this world other than people like us who love chips?” Rica heartily joins Ella in eating the chips. “Let’s finish this before your mom comes back.”
During dinner with her mother and boyfriend at home, Ella gladly recounts her time with Rica and hopes to see her again. Since she had forgotten to ask of her name and contact number again, Ella considers taking her phone along to the clinic on her next visit.
Archie is at a loss for words. Later, he tries to talk Mrs. Montecillo into leaving the city with her daughter for a while so she doesn’t find out about the case. Mrs. Montecillo admonishes Archie and asks if he would sacrifice Ella’s health just because he doesn’t have the guts to tell her about the truth.
On this account, she urges him to tell her daughter the truth before she finds out from someone else. The Sicats are unpacking in their new house and they discuss about the next hearing of the anti-voyeurism. Rica asks her dad if he would be going with them and he comes up with a lame excuse.
Bea whines about their new house and Dan angrily scolds her and tells her to go and live with her aunt if she doesn’t like it. Bea storms off in tears and Karla throws her husband an exasperated look. She later approaches him and strives to reason with him, telling him not to vent out his anger on the kids.
Karla brings up Rica’s upcoming trial, and she expresses her disbelief over how he’s been sulking instead of supporting their daughter. Eventually, she tells Dan that if he keeps nursing his pride, then he isn’t any different from the mayor.
