“I don’t get you. My life is confusing enough as it is. I need to meet up with my biological father and potentially disappoint him so that my adoptive father doesn’t get hurt. And you want it to get worse?”
Kyle pathetically waits for the hourglass to count down and once it does, he hurries out of his office and comes across Chino who asks if he’s had lunch. Throwing a glance at Rica who’s seated at her desk, Kyle tells him that he’s meeting someone. Rica exchanges glances with him and offers a smile as Kyle looks on silently.
During lunch at the Ramones, Troy suggests that they repaint Raven’s room so she would have a feeling of a fresh start. Audrey gladly agrees and also comes up with a suggestion that shocks her husband – throwing a ‘thank you’ dinner for Rica. Troy expresses his appreciation for the gesture and reaffirms his promise of fixing things.
A phone call comes in from Bobby, just as Troy also receives a text message from Karla. Audrey ignores Bobby’s call and has a selfie taken with her husband. In no time, she sends Bobby the photo to taunt him. Man doesn’t look happy.
While Kyle makes some orders in preparation for his date’s arrival, Karla deals with a critic viewer during her online selling. She soon receives a phone call from Dan, telling her about the contract with Perfect Homes.
Dan tells Karla that he would bring the contract home first so she and Rica can review it since it’s for their family’s future. Raylin who stands by Dan isn’t the least bit happy, even as Dan professes his lövê for his wife. Meanwhile, Bobby confronts the lünatiç he had caught outside Audrey’s house the other day, same lünatiç who’s been bashing Karla online.
“You’re right,” Bobby merely says. “Looks like we need to protect Madam Audrey from Karla Sicat.”
Rica hopes Axel doesn’t order anything fancy, and Chino tells her to end his friend’s misery already by patching things up with him. Rica seems confused as she thinks Axel was the one who had asked her out to dinner. She finds Axel outside and as she asks about the dinner, some girl comes out of nowhere to throw herself at him. Rica leaves after Axel snubs her.
Chino comes asking about Rica, and in no time, he joins his boss at his table at the café and begins eating the ordered food, much to Kyle’s disbelief. A moment later at the office, Kyle asks Rica why she hadn’t showed up for lunch earlier and Rica is surprised that he was actually the one who had left her the note.
“Sorry, I should have made it clear,” Kyle says. He turns to walk away but he doesn’t get that far.
“You said you wanted us to keep things professional,” Rica begins. “Then suddenly, you invite me out to lunch? I don’t get you. My life is confusing enough as it is. I need to meet up with my biological father and potentially disappoint him so that my adoptive father doesn’t get hurt. And you want it to get worse?”
Kyle can do nothing but to stare pathetically and Rica apologizes before walking away. Kyle goes to her desk to return the mug she had left earlier and Rica offers a smile. At Axel’s office, Chino makes mockery of Kyle’s misërãble attempt to win back Rica.
At the Sicats, Pogs is compelled to use his whole life savings to appease Bea. He plans to buy her one of the cheesecakes so she could give her blasted review of it.
Bea is undressing in her room when she spots the lünatiç staring at her from the outside. She screams her lungs out and the commotion brings in Nico and Pogs.
While the guys try to secure the house, Bea tries in vain to reach her mother on phone. She then resolves to call her elder sister who notifies her coworkers and hurries to get home.
Upon learning of the situation, Axel quickly dashes out and goes for his motorbike as Rica desperately tries to get a ride. While Karla struggles to get reception where she is, the lünatiç shows his face again and actually throws a Molotov cocktail at the Sicat house.
Bea, Nico and Pogs shrink back in fear as the damn thing lights up. Meanwhile, Rica gets a ride from a motorcyclist she believes to be Axel. She soon arrives at her house to learn of what had occurred.
“Luckily, the fire was put out right away,” an officer reveals. “So no one got hurt.”
“Where are my siblings, sir?” Rica asks.
“They’re at the mayor’s house.”
“What?”
“You heard me.”
Troy receives a phone call from Audrey just as soon as he rendezvouses with Karla. Over the phone, Audrey informs him about the ãttaçk on the Sicats and recounts how she had helped the kids. Troy then relays the info to Karla.
At the Sicats, Rica is taken by surprise to learn that the motorcyclist is actually none other than her boss Kyle. Kyle offers to give Rica a ride to the mayor’s house. She gets onboard the bike and with his antic, Kyle compels her to hold onto him.
Meanwhile, Bea particularly makes a fòöl of herself when Audrey ushers her and the others into the mansion. Audrey offers them dinner and Bea gets over excited and resolves to take photos of the food, amazed at how expensive everything looks.
Alberto is informed of the incident at the Sicats and the insufferable old man gets upset and whines, disappointed that the entire family hadn’t burned to the ground. Anyway, Rica arrives at the Ramones and after Audrey welcomes her, Bea urges her to join them in dining. Rica doesn’t budge, and Audrey hands her the flowers she had intended to give her before.
Troy arrives with Karla in tow as Audrey tries to talk Rica into eating with the others. Karla tries to take the kids home but Audrey urges her to let them be since they already had a big scare.
Karla thanks her for coming to her kids’ rescue, and Audrey goes on about how she had done what she thought was right. As fate will have it, Rica takes the mayor aside to return the stuff he had given her the other day.
“Is it because of Karla?” Troy merely asks.
Rica remains silent.
“I knew it. Or was there another reason? Is it because of your adopted father?”
“He doesn’t know anything about this,” Rica says.
“You’re an adult. You can decide for yourself. You can choose to accept this money without having to worry about how your mother will react. Or how this will hurt Dan’s pride. You need to think of your future. This money can help you.”
“She already said she doesn’t want to,” Dan grumbles as he makes a sudden appearance.
A faceoff ensues and as Dan drags Rica away, Troy yells at him, telling him that she’s still his daughter. He declares that he has the right to secure her future, and Dan argues that it’s his job. An intense staring contest then follows.
