“Stop talking to my wife that way! What did you expect us to do? There is a difference between weakness and sickness. Our daughter needs us. We will not abandon her just because you said so.”
The episode begins with Axel still staring at Rica in wonder. Rica snaps him out of it with a snap of her fingers and asks if he’s okay. Axel then comes up with a bogus excuse and he places a hand on his heart again after Rica has left.
Meanwhile, the Ramones couple bring their daughter to the rehab center and they’re given some forms for Raven to fill. Troy gives Raven moral support. The doctor has a talk with the Ramones couple, telling them that getting treatment is just half of the procedure.
She urges Troy and Audrey to help Raven through her recovery by making sure that she stays away from anything stressful that could aggravate her. A moment later, Raven emotionally parts ways with her parents.
Troy pays a visit to attorney Dizon who brings up the annulment and goes on about how he and Audrey could still make things work by co-parenting Raven after they separate. Since Troy had already promised his daughter that he would fix things, he’s now reluctant to push through with the annulment.
Talk shifts to the technician who had repaired Archie’s phone and Laura assures him that they would get him because they now know his hideout.
“Were going to get him, Troy,” Laura declares. “For Rica.”
Troy recounts how he had been with Rica last night. He notes that she (Rica) is a great woman, adding that he wished he had the right to be proud of her. He then reveals that he wants to get to know her but he fears that it might make Raven’s condition worse.
At home, Audrey stares at the tattered annulment papers, brooding silently. Rica agrees to Axel’s lunch request but the guy weasels his way out of it, claiming that he had a lunch date earlier.
Surprised that he had supposedly had dinner and a lunch date as well, Rica says she hopes it was with the same woman. In no time, mayor Troy makes a surprising appearance at Balai Arkitektura to have a talk with Rica.
Karla and Dan are having a moment at the furniture shop working together when Audrey shows up out of nowhere. Back at BA, Troy passes an envelope to Rica which turns out to be a trust fund.
A lovely necklace goes along with it and when Rica tries to return it, Troy urges her to accept it, saying that they’re all meant for her. Rica then reflects on last night’s incident. Back at the Sicats, Audrey approaches the couple to ask for a favor.
“If it’s possible,” Audrey begins. “Please don’t let anyone know of what happened to Raven. It wouldn’t help her to have this kind of embarrassment.”
“But our daughter’s humiliation never meant a single thing to your family,” Dan retorts grudgingly.
Raylin and a couple of nosy neighbors spy from a distance as Audrey pleads for them to spare her daughter since she’s already going through a lot.
Karla assures her that they’re not the type to spread gossip, saying that they would never wish for someone else to go through what had happened to their daughter Rica. They then notice Raylin and her acquaintances gossiping.
Rica’s meeting with Troy drags on into the day, and Axel can’t seem to take his eyes off the junior architect. Kyle sends the other workers off on their way home, and inadvertently snaps Axel out of it.
He asks if he’s staying over and Axel replies in the negative and leaves. On their way home from school, Bea and Pogs are told of how Audrey had visited their mother and supposedly demanded that she stay away from her husband (Troy).
Kyle comes to check up on Rica after Troy is gone. Rica apologizes for her personal life getting in the way of her work and Kyle justifies it and declares that he would never have any regrets hiring her.
Dan is whining about Audrey’s visit when Nico dashes in with Bea and Pogs in tow to ask about the very same matter. Karla fills the kids in on what had actually happened.
Dan is evidently upset with the trouble Audrey’s visit is causing his family. During dinner at the Ramones mansion, Alberto lashes out at Audrey as he worries about the scandal Raven’s condition could create if exposed. He gets even more upset and loud when Audrey tries to calm him down by telling him of how she had asked the Sicats to keep everything a secret. Standing in the doorway unnoticed, Troy silently observes.
“I just asked…”
“And who told you to do that?!” Alberto bellows again.
Audrey is on the brink of tears. “Dad, I just wanted to…”
“From this day on, you’re not allowed to do or say anything without getting my approval. Do you understand me? Or…”
“Stop talking to my wife that way!” Troy hisses, surprising everyone, said wife included. He then comes to stand behind said wife protectively.
Alberto scoffs and whines over how Troy wasn’t the one who made the newspaper headline because he was too busy searching for his daughter.
“What did you expect us to do?” Troy retorts. “To sit around while her life was in danger?”
“That would have been better,” Alberto grumbles. “She would learn her lesson. I will not tolerate weakness in this family.”
“There is a difference between weakness and sickness. Our daughter needs us.”
“That’s what’s wrong with your generation. Addiction and stûpidity are considered diseases.”
Alberto asks Troy to send Raven abroad to recover before she ruins his reputation. However, Troy bluntly refuses.
“And I will not treat her like she’s an embarrassment that should be kept hidden. We will not abandon her just because you said so.”
Audrey states that she and her husband would make sure Raven’s recovery doesn’t become a problem.
Even as she notes how the Sicats had given their word to keep Raven’s condition a secret, Alberto continues whining and Troy cuts him off and puts him in his place, saying that he’s behaving that way because he doesn’t know anything about being a parent. And with that, he grabs Audrey’s hand and storms out with her. Alberto is dumbfounded.
At the bar, Axel pesters Chino to tell him about how he had fallen for his soon-to-arrive date and Chino evades the question and strives to run him off. Out of nowhere comes Kyle who admits that he’s made a mistake. Chino is exasperated.
Kyle confides in Axel about the talk he had had with Rica the other day. The boss wants to take back what he had said about being keeping things professional but doesn’t know how to because Rica had already agreed to it.
Axel concludes that Kyle feels like an idiōt knowing that Rica is going through and he’s finding it difficult to talk to her about it and be there for her. Chino’s date arrives and asks if Axel is in lövê.
Chino scoffs and laughs at that, and Axel agrees with him, saying that he doesn’t fall in lövê. He then points out Kyle as the person they had been talking about. To prove his point, Axel goes to hit on a random girl.
Bobby is quite upset and throwing a tantrum on account of the incident that had occurred earlier at the mansion. Rica arrives home to learn of Audrey’s visit and she informs her family about how the mayor had come to see her at the office.
However, she leaves out the part about the 20 million trust fund and the necklace and resolves to conceal them in her closet. Later that night, she reflects on her conversation with the mayor. Turns out that the gifts had been offered to her in her childhood but Karla had rejected them back then.
Dan accuses Audrey of being responsible for the rumor going around, and when Rica argues that she might not be guilty of the deed, Dan goes on about the trouble she’s caused them before.
Meanwhile, Troy and Audrey visit the rehab center bearing Raven’s favorite food. The doctor informs them that their daughter has been responding well to treatment though she has a lot of issues to work on with the counselor. Troy asks when they can see her and the doctor reveals that it would have to be next week.
Troy is eager to get rid of all of Raven’s triggers and Audrey stares in amazement and thanks her husband for taking care of the situation and standing up to his father for her earlier.
She takes blame for their daughter’s condition but Troy won’t have that as he urges her that they work together to fix things for their daughter. Meanwhile, Bea goes through her sister’s closet and she finds the necklace Troy had given her.
