“I am an embarrassment. It was never easy to be part of this family. How hopeless things have become. You can’t blame me for turning to ãlcôhol because when I’m drunk, that’s when all my problems disappear.”
Raven finally regains consciousness and apologizes profusely, though her father constantly tells her that it’s okay. Rica then cleans up her puke with her scarf. Back on the roadside, Axel empathizes with Kyle on account of his situation with Rica.
Nevertheless, he notes that he (Kyle) is just assuming what Rica can handle. Still in her drunken stupor, Raven asks Rica why she’s helping her when she hates her and Rica merely asks her to get some rest. As if on cue, Raven zonks out.
Troy goes on about how Rica seems to take after Karla. He mentions his regret of not being able to watch her grow to become the woman that she is today. Still, he assumes that it was a good thing he hadn’t raised her. Rica merely says that he can still fix things if he wants.
Soon enough, Troy receives a phone call from Audrey and he briefs her about their daughter’s situation. Audrey then proceeds to call doctor Bautista. A moment later outside the office, Rica regroups with Kyle and Axel as Troy carries Raven into his car.
The mayor expresses his utmost appreciation to Kyle and Axel for everything they did to help. He tells Rica that his whole family will be forever grateful to her. He then takes Kyle aside to have a word in private.
Axel jokingly blames Rica for missing his date dor you night. Rica argues that it wasn’t her fault, saying that he should rather ask Raven to make it up to her. However, Axel says it’s her (Rica’s) fault since she had failed to stop Raven.
“Lunch, tomorrow. Your treat.”
Rica makes a face. “No, I’m not going to do that. No way.”
Axel laughs. Anyway, Troy asks for Kyle’s discretion so the incident with his daughter doesn’t get out to the public. Though Kyle tells him that he can trust his team to keep the matter a secret, Troy offers a nondisclosure agreement as well as financial compensation but Kyle turns it down and insists that they’re trustworthy.
Troy then apologizes and thanks him again as they shake hands. He gets in his car and observes for a while as Rica happily converses with Kyle and Axel.
Dr. Bautista assures the Ramones couple that Raven just needs some rest. She then suggests that they get her back into rehab to deal with her ãlcôhol relapse. Troy beats himself up for his daughter’s condition.
Meanwhile, Dan comes to pick up his daughter and she resolves to introduce him to his bosses Kyle and Axel. Dan stares at the guys with indifference before proceeding to give them firm handshakes. They look on as Rica gets onboard her father’s motorbike.
“Dude,” Axel whispers to Kyle. “I thought he was going to crush my hand.”
Kyle chuckles. Back at the Ramoneses, Audrey and Troy behold their unconscious daughter, and the former laments over how she’s been nothing but a horrible mother to Raven.
At the Sicats, Dan asks Rica if she can really trust her bosses and she assures him that they’re good guys and they treat her nice. She explains the reason why she had been with the mayor as Karla listens in, and Dan merely stares silently.
“Maybe I should have just left her alone?” Rica says. “That spoilt brat was always mean to me anyway. But I only did what was right and what I would have wanted others to do for me before.”
Dan admits that he wasn’t happy to learn that she had been with the mayor since he doesn’t trust him. “I’m actually proud of you. Because no matter how cruel the world is to you, you didn’t allow it to change you.”
Rica gets emotional as Dan goes on about how he would always be her dad. A high-five and a hug ensues, and Rica tearfully thanks Dan for always choosing to be her father.
Later that night, Karla finds Rica wandering around the furniture shop. She asks what’s wrong and Rica brings up how she had always hated the mayor. She then makes note of the night’s incident, saying that it’s not easy to be mad at Troy anymore since he’s also just human.
Bea and Nico argue over Raven’s alcoholic problem and Rica admonishes them. Karla hopes Raven would get the appropriate treatment she needs and when Bea begins to wonder how people would react when they find out about it, Rica charges her and her brother to keep the situation to themselves and not spread it.
Meanwhile, Raven regains consciousness and reflects on last night’s incident. As if on cue, her parents tread into her room.
“I know what you’re going to say,” Raven utters. “That I am an embarrassment. But…it was never easy…to live in this house…to be part of this family. Sometimes, I can’t help but wish that you were still in love with each other…so that you will lövê me too.”
Without words to say, Troy and Audrey both take glimpses of each other.
“Every day that I see how hopeless things have become,” Raven continues. “I feel shattered. So you can’t blame me for turning to ãlcôhol because when I’m drunk, that’s when all my problems disappear.”
Audrey gets quite emotional as she reaches out to her daughter and apologizes profusely. Troy reaffirms the apology and consoles both mother and daughter. He declares that they still have time to fix everything.
Raven is reluctant to go back to rehab since she worries that her father might blame her if people find out and use it against him. However, Troy pronounces that he doesn’t care even if his image gets ruined, adding that she’s what matters most to him. He then pulls her and her mother into an emotional embrace.
Kyle reflects on what Axel had said to him by the roadside. He tries to garner the will to go to Rica but she beats him to it as she walks into his office and to Kyle’s disbelief, she apologizes to him for her reaction the other day, saying that it’s her turn to be more sensitive to his needs and feelings.
On account of everything that had happened last night, Rica goes on about Kyle’s situation as well as the complication of having her as an employee.
“You always try to be more careful with your words and actions whenever you’re dealing with me,” Rica mentions.
“Why do you make it sound like it’s a burden for me?” Kyle merely asks.
“I’m sure it is. I now understand…that we should be more professional with each other. I understand. It’s for your piece of mind to lighten the heavy load you’re carrying. I understand it now.”
Kyle just stares back without another word. Outside the boss’ office, the other workers of Balai Arkitektura discuss what lövê entails. Chino makes rather shallow points though Miss May comes up with profound hints and indicators of someone being in lövê. Axel reflects on instances where such things had occurred between him and Rica.
Meanwhile, Rica thanks Kyle for hiring her and giving her a chance despite her complicated background. She then promises to do her best when it comes to work. Chino bickers with Miss May over their distinct opinions, and the latter’s words seem to weigh heavily on Axel who can’t help but to throw Rica a glance.
At the Ramoneses, Audrey asks her daughter if Rica had taken photos or videos of her last night. Reflecting on the subject, Raven mentions that though she had also accused Rica of those things, she (Rica) had been kind to her even when she had thrëateñed to crash the car.
“She never left my side, mom. And even after I ditched her, she never stopped looking for me. And I think…she even changed my clothes when I puked on myself.”
Audrey looks on in disbelief.
“All this time I never showed her any kindness,” Raven continues. “But despite everything, she did all those things for me.”
Now Audrey is at a loss for words, and rightly so. Troy joins them to give his daughter moral support for the trip to the rehab center. At Balai Arkitektura, Axel asks Rica what she had talked about with the boss and after teasing him, Rica reveals that she had accepted to be professional and business-like with Kyle.
She then thanks Axel for making her feel better yesterday in spite of his annoying attitude. Rica turns to walk away but she turns back when Axel calls out to her. Axel places a hand on his heart, staring in wonder at Rica’s smiling face.
