“We have to find a way to stop them before Renato põisoñs the minds of those people. If the General’s suspicion is right, and if it is proven to be true, we must ensure that no one is left standing among the men of Hipolito.”
The Vendetta head back to their hideout following their latest rescue mission. Congressman Brandon meets up with Homer to discuss a plan that would help Renato. Homer agrees to cooperate and when he asks what the plan is, Brandon mentions Brother Lorenzo Alano. Speaking of, Brother Lorenzo rejects a 30 million donation made by a particular controversial congressman, lest he be compelled to endorse his candidacy.
Victoria, his wife is glad that he had turned down the offer lest people think that they’re blessed because of illicit activities. Brandon proposes to Homer that they convince Brother Lorenzo to endorse among his many followers the candidacy of Hipolito for senator. He then charges Homer to spy on the pastor and gather some information.
Meanwhile, the teachers the Vendetta had rescued narrate their ordeal on live television and recount how Cardo and his comrades had saved them. Alyana watches the report with Marco who speculates that our favorite hero had probably thrëateñed the teachers to lie to the public.
Alyana disagrees with the opinions of her illëgâl boyfriend and the misërãble guy actually gets upset. While the Vendetta return to their hideout and deliberate on Hipolito’s connection to the goons they had encountered earlier, Hipolito orders Homer to follow the orders of Congressman Brandon and Vice President Lucas because they’re their allies.
Homer is reluctant and the Vulture reminds him that they would all benefit if he wins. In contrast, he says Homer and his group would lose everything they’re enjoying if he’s to lose the election. Cardo declares that the group would continue going after everyone helping Hipolito before they take down the Vulture himself.
Meanwhile, Alyana tries to reason with Marco but her mental illëgâl boyfriend throws a fit and whines over how he had saved her when her life had been in danger. Alyana takes it cool as psyçhö Marco continues with his screaming fit. Captain Gina is glad to be among the top ten in the recent survey. But it won’t be for long.
“Only eight seats are needed in the council,” Gido points out.
“Just eight?” Gina says in disbelief. “I’m at nine?”
George regroups with Vendetta and informs them about the building he had spotted the escaped goon entering. As said crook reports back to Brandon, Cardo pushes for the group to investigate the building so they could know what they’re hiding.
At the Dalisays, Wally tells the family about how Clark had lost his job in the states, adding that his sister Amor can’t work yet because she has a sickly baby to take care of. Grandma Flora offers him some money she had set aside for rent advance and Yolly also decides to give him the money she had set aside to buy new uniforms for Dan and Ligaya.
Congressman Brandon reflects on how he had intimidated and bribêd a particular pastor to root for him in the upcoming elections. In no time, the pastor urges his congregation to support Congressman Brandon and vote for him.
Another flashback reveals how Brandon had k!lled a political rival of his. At the Palace, President Hidalgo sees the news report of the teachers who had been rescued by the Vendetta.
Oscar is in disbelief, even as William goes on about the other rescues of Vendetta. Hipolito looks forward to using the 4 million members of Brother Lorenzo’s church for his benefit. Lucas then urges the Vulture to lay out his entire platform to the pastor and woo him with his nonexistent strong religious faith.
Meanwhile, Wally gets a job opportunity at a certain call center courtesy of Xavier, a friend of his. Later, he narrates to his family the troubles he had encountered while job hunting. When he brings up the job at the call center, a few others try to test his communication skills.
“You should be articulate,” Elmo admonishes. “Something like – ‘Hello, this is Wally. How can we helping you?’”
“Oh, no,” Grandma Flora teases as the others laugh.
Paco then butts in to give an instance of his own. “It’s simple. Hello, I’m Wally. How are helping you?”’
Grandma Flora laughs. “Oh, that’s worse.”
Wally explains to his family that the call center is a different type and not one where they talk over telephone. The next morning, he encounters George on his way to the company. Once inside, Wally is briefed by Xavier his friend who claims that the job is about social media marketing. Wally is excited since the seemingly easy job pays 30,000 a day.
President Hidalgo has a talk with his staff about the order he had given to secure all voting centers all over the country, considering the election related violence happening all over. He then goes on about the fake news that has been trending on the internet, targeted at their candidates. While Cardo enlists the help of Blossom and her friends to gather some intel about the call center, Wally comes to learn that the company promotes Hipolito on social media.
“Do you actually believe that Hipolito isn’t guilty?”
“That’s not our concern,” so says the supervisor. “What’s important to us is we get paid. Has Xavier informed you of the regulations of this company?”
“What are they?” Wally asks.
“Once you have learned of the things that we do here, you can’t back out. You won’t be able to leave that easily.”
Wally is then given an advance payment.
“No one should know of anything that we’re doing here. Otherwise…”
Wally is evidently spooked. Later, he pesters his friend about what the supervisor had meant by ‘otherwise’. Once he realizes that the company is actually a troll farm, he worries about getting caught and Xavier tells him that they wouldn’t be exposed if he keeps his mouth shut.
Soon enough, he shows Wally some profiles and encourages him to create a 100 fake accounts so he can post a lot of articles on Hipolito and defend him from negative posts. After expressing his disbelief, Wally brings up the supervisor’s subtle thrêãt.
“What will he do if I reveal that you are online trolls?”
Xavier shushes him. “You’ll have a big problem if you don’t adhere to what you’re supposed to do. You’re already in. No backing out, or else…”
“What does ‘or else’ mean?” Wally asks for the hundredth time.
Xavier looks on silently. Meanwhile, Blossom and her friend slither into the building to ask about the call center. Posing as applicants, they come across some men who take them to the place. And wouldn’t you just know it? Hipolito pays a visit to Brother Lorenzo and asks that they talk privately.
At the hideout, General Olegario speculates Hipolito’s connection to the call center who have been spreading fake news about, and for Hipolito’s benefit.
“We have to find a way to stop them,” Anton says. “Before Renato põisoñs the minds of those people.”
Cardo then chimes in. “If the General’s suspicion is right, then we have to go to that place. We have to find out what they’re really doing. And if it is proven to be true, we must ensure that no one is left standing among the men of Hipolito.”
Brother Lorenzo asks Hipolito what he wants to talk about and the Vulture goes on about how he would strengthen the security of the country if he’s elected into office. He then brings up the rebes and blabbers about how they’ve supposedly been destroying a lot of families, Hipolito urges the pastor to help him by endorsing his candidacy among his followers.
Brother Lorenzo merely says that he can’t promise that. Hipolito then tries to make him believe that the accusations against him are nothing but false. Brother Lorenzo doesn’t seem convinced. He concludes the meeting and leaves to attend to his flock, leaving Hipolito frustrated.
