“Have you been to the actual site? The building is an eyesore. Thank you, Miss Ramones. Thank you for your willingness to acknowledge the failures of your dad’s administration.”
Kyle ushers Rica out of the bar and asks Chino to take care of the bill. At the Ramones mansion, Jigs asks her cousin why she’s been ignoring his calls ad texts, and Raven claims she had been busy.
Once Jigs is gone, Audrey shows up to give her daughter a talking to. She blames her father for spoiling her too much and demands that she stop acting like a child and grow up. Raven is left staring at some alcoholic drinks after her mother has also disappeared. Temptation 101.
At the Constantine, Kyle hangs out with Rica who reveals that it was the music that had triggered her trauma. She notes that it was the very same music that had been playing on ‘that night’. She then goes on to narrate the incidents that had led to her misfortune.
Rica wails over how she had no idea that the drink that had initially been offered to Rose had been drüggêd. Kyle apologizes, saying that he wouldn’t have allowed their team to go clubbing had he known that it would trigger her.
Rica reminds Kyle that she had decided to come herself, but Kyle beats himself up for not being more sensitive. He offers to talk to the team but Rica objects to it, saying that the reason she had joined them at the bar was because she wanted to prove that she wasn’t as fragile as people see her to be. She laments over how the plan had backfired and begins to wonder how her boss seems to understand her so much.
Karla joins her husband outside as he gets ready to paint over the vandalized wall. Dan says he would have taken her and the kids away and given them a much better life if only he had the money so they could finally live peacefully.
Karla reminds her husband that they have never backed down from a fight and thus, won’t be starting now. The next morning, Karla recounts to Rica how she and her father had painted all night to cover up the defaming words.
“It’s so unfair,” Rica laments. “The mayor’s wife assaulted you. Raven revealed what happened to me without my consent. Their family can easily go back to leading their comfortable lives, but we’re always left to fix whatever mess they’ve made.”
“Are you okay, dear?” Karla merely asks.
Rica nods and affirms so. “We never back down from a fight, right?”
Rica tentatively returns to Balai Akitektura only to be smothered by the deep concern of her coworkers. Mrs. Gracia teaches her a breathing technique to combat panic attacks and she goes with the flow. Kyle shows up to ask what is going on, and out of nowhere comes Raven, along with Mr. Perez and a few others. A face-off ensues and greetings are exchanged.
Raven shakes Kyle’s hand and proceeds to shake Rica’s too. She holds on for too long and begins squeezing. However, Rica squeezes back until her estranged half-sister is forced to pull away.
Later at the conference room, Miss May briefs the clients about the designs. Mr. Perez confidently says that they would get the permit for the project in a week, and Kyle argues against using influence to speed up the process.
After a few exchange of words, Raven mentions that the addition of the ramps was a nice touch and Kyle reveals that it was Rica’s idea. Both girls trade fake smiles before Raven starts picking at Rica’s design. Raven starts throwing questions at Rica, and consecutively, Kyle deliberately cuts Rica off and answers them himself. Axel observes silently in exasperation.
A moment later, Rica excuses herself and Kyle sends Axel a message, telling him to go and check up on her. Axel’s reply? – Focus on the meeting. Raven is at it again with another question about the windows thrown at Rica. Kyle tries to butt in again and Rica stands up to Raven when she begins belittling her.
Raven asks why she had decided to stick to the type of window and why they’re going to be sealed in her proposal. After a few exchange of words, Raven taunts Rica with recommending a type of glass window that wouldn’t degrade the historical look and feel of the building.
“Have you been to the actual site?” Rica merely asks. She notes that the building is obstructed on the right by another building, and on the left side by a slum area.
Raven argues that the upcoming housing project would get rid of the slum and when Rica asks about the other building, she says that it’s progress.
Rica scoffs. “The building is an eyesore…but I also don’t think we should be hiding any unpleasant parts of Sidero, so thank you, Miss Ramones. Thank you for your willingness to acknowledge the failures of your dad’s administration.”
Axel and Miss May look on in pleasure as Raven slithers away after suffering another humiliation. Later, the team discuss the incident and they commend Rica and let slip the fact that they already knew she and Raven are half-sisters.
Meanwhile, Kyle scolds Axel and demands that he follow his orders the next time around. Axel points out that Rica can handle herself. He notes how she had dealt with Raven earlier but Kyle argues that she’s obviously traumatized all the same.
“Still, if she’s not asking for preferential treatment, don’t give it to her,” Axel states. “Her life is none of your business till she asks you to make it yours.” Following Axel’s departure, Kyle has a talk with Rica in his office and offers to assign her to another project with Chino.
When Rica says she wants to remain on the current project, Kyle tells her that Raven’s constant presence might be a problem to her. He reveals that he hadn’t wanted her to answer her questions earlier because he worried that she would get triggered. However, Rica assures him that she can handle it.
Rica tells her boss that she wants to be treated normally like everyone else in the office. Again, she assures Kyle that she can handle herself, and then pleads with him to let her stay in the project.
Meanwhile, Raven is in a bad mood as she storms into her office. She’s on phone with her shãmelëss cousin, whining about her altercation with Rica. She’s however compelled to get off the phone once she finds her dad in her office.
Troy apologizes to her daughter for all the years she had been miserable because of him and her mother. Raven grumbles, saying that it wouldn’t change anything, and Troy reveals that he’s going to make some important decisions which he hopes would make things better for them. Raven asks if he’s going to run for president but Troy remains silent.
“Dad, what are you talking about?”
“Raven, I love you. Please…just come home.”
Raven stares blankly. Meanwhile, Jigs storms into his own office in a nervous wreck. The shameless councilor takes pleasure in reminiscing her encounters with Rica as well as how he had violated her. He finds a document on his desk about the proposal of the architectural firm and he takes sick pleasure in the fact that Rica is among the subjects of Balai Akitektura.
