Cardo and his comrades approach the door with their güñs locked and loaded, just as Chikoy also approaches from the other side. Fortunately, Miss Becky shows up to halt him. She deliberately throws herself at him, thereby compelling him to leave with Vargas.
Miss Becky then slips into the hideout to inform Cardo that the officers are now gone. Our favorite hero thanks her for all her help and she reveals how the whole neighborhood is now on their side.
While Hipolito prepares for the elections, General Borja pays him a visit with Billy in tow to invite him to the precinct to answer some questions regarding Catindig’s case. Hipolito refuses to go and begins accusing the General of trying to tarnish his image and protecting his grandson.
Speaking of, Cardo with his comrades, expresses his appreciation to the neighbors for all their help and promises to protect them in turn. Hipolito denies having any hand in Catindig’s çriminãl ways and Delfin taunts him with how the guy had been his foot soldier and done his bidding.
Again, Hipolito accuses Delfin of trying to tarnish his image supposedly because he’s the greatest threat to his grandson. Back at the tenement, the neighbors assure the Vendetta that they would always support their cause since they’re doing their country a favor by going after corrupt government officials.
“It’s you who needs to take responsibility for all this mess,” Hipolito grumbles back at his campaign headquarters. “Because you refuse to capture Romulo Dumaguit, Cardo and the rest of Vendetta.”
“I honestly don’t care about your opinion of me,” retorts the General. “You can’t prove your accusations, unlike us. We have an actual testimony against you.”
As the neighbors assure the Vendetta that they’re willing and ready to help them in all their endeavors, Delfin leaves with Billy after getting nothing out of Hipolito. Back at the tenement, the Vendetta are hailed by their allies. At Barangay 628, the kids express their delight over how Cardo and his group had rescued the distressed people from the hospital.
Menchu talks over the phone with Lucas, expressing her worries over how Alyana seems to be hesitant to marry Marco. She suggests that they give Marco whatever he wants so he doesn’t become a danger to himself and others. Later, the vice president has a talk with Brandon about how they could use Marco and Alyana’s marriage to lure Cardo out of hiding.
The Hidalgos celebrate the birthday of Grace. Lucas, in the company of Brandon, brings the little girl a present. The celebration drags on with numerous games and eventually, Yohan unveils his literally massive surprise package, and out comes a young lady – Aubrey – who Grace is excited to see. Aubrey reunites with her parents and family. Grace declares the occasion as the best birthday party ever because their family is now complete.
“Would it be alright if I continued my studies here?” Aubrey asks her parents.
Marissa glances at Oscar.
“Were you expelled or something?” Yohan teases.
Aubrey announces that she’s also on honor roll like her younger siblings. Cue in a group hug before Lucas comes over with Brandon to greet the family. Meanwhile, Cardo pushes for his group to come up with a strategy soon so they could take down Hipolito before he gets a seat in the senate.
Speaking of, Hipolito broods by himself and vows not to allow anyone destroy his chances at victory. Back at the hideout, the Vendetta watch a news report about the investigation being done on Hipolito. “That’s how we’ll get to Hipolito,” Cardo declares. We’ll expose that bãstärd for who he really is. Along with all of his evil schemes. We have got to expose everyone who has connections to him.”
Vice president Cabrera worries that Hipolito might not succeed in getting rid of the rebels since he’s being connected to Catindig and his private army. As Hipolito watches the damning news report in his office, Brandon offers to get rid of him (Hipolito) if he would be the reason for their party’s image getting tainted.
Aubrey apologizes to her father for how she had forced his hand to have her study in LA because she couldn’t bring herself to live as the daughter of the president, not with so many restrictions. She then declares that what she needs right now is to be with her family. Marissa joins father and daughter as they share a moment. A group hug then follows.
Despite Hipolito’s reputation being on the rocks because of his connection to Catindig, General Olegario points out that the guy is capable of turning things around. Greco suggests that they just wait for him to be put into prison since it would be too dangerous to confront him.
“Putting him behind bars won’t be enough,” Romulo declares. “He deserves to suffer and pay for all the crimes he’s committed. Even if it means paying all of it with his life.”
Alyana receives a thank you note and flowers from Marco, which triggers her to recall the time Cardo had initially proposed to her. It just so happens that Andi also happily reminisces about how Cardo had saved her from Catindig.
A moment later, her mother worries about her safety since she’s set to go back to work. Her worries however subside when Peng informs her that our favorite hero would be taking her to and from work from now on. Lucas makes deliberate efforts to talk his wife into attending the convention abroad and he even manages to get Marco to back him up.
While Cardo and his comrades escort Andi to work, president Hidalgo tells his gathered constituents about the country’s finest and most honorable public servants. He then introduces his family, Aubrey inclusive, and he’s met with warm reception. At a different venue, vice president Cabrera encourages their people to keep on supporting Hipolito.
The president urges the people to vote for those who would prioritize the welfare of their families and children. Meanwhile, Hipolito addresses his society and blabbers on about how he would make sure the country achieves peace and tranquility if he’s voted for in the senate. He claims that all the damaging news circulating around are just smear campaigns of his enemies, ultimately declaring that he would be victorious because fate and destiny are on his side. Supposedly.
“We don’t believe you!” calls out a random spectator. “Hipolito’s a hypocrite! Hipolito is a çriminãl!”
Hipolito risks a glance at his accuser as he goes to sit by the vice president. Ouch. Talk about absolute humiliation.
“You’re a çriminãl, Hipolito! A certified criminal!!!”
Lucas expresses his disappointment to Hipolito who goes on to express his confidence in winning the election despite the so-called smear campaigns being done against him. Lucas points out that the CIDG had indeed found out that Catindig had 230 million bucks in his bank account, money which had come from no one else but him (Hipolito).
Cardo and his group drop off Andi at the hospital and our favorite hero asks her to wait for them at the same spot so they can pick her up once her shift ends. Later, Cardo sends out a few of the guys to gather some information about Hipolito and Homer. Meanwhile, Lucas questions Hipolito about the safe house he’s been hiding Homer’s group. The Vulture asks how he had found out and the vice president introduces Brandon to him.
Happy and George inform the group about how the people had been angry at Hipolito because of the news that had branded him (Hipolito) and Catindig as allies in corruption. Happy then notes how Hipolito’s people have been going around buying votes.
Speaking of, Lucas and Brandon come clean about their illëgãl business of selling firëarms and on the vice president’s insistence, Hipolito reveals that he used to be a member of Bloody Sun. He recounts the rebels’ plan of infiltrating the government so he could be their protector from within.
“But why are you doing the opposite now?” Brandon asks. “You’re going after them instead.”
“You prefer being on this side, right?” Lucas chimes in. “You have more power here. I can help you with your ambitions, Hipolito.”
