“I just hope we accomplish our mission. But we need to make sure no one gets hurt. We will rescue the commander, and we will make sure that…we all get out alive.”
Catindig gives the go-ahead for his rõtten men to get rid of the shady nurse. He personally delivers the good news to Hipolito and notes how they had made it look like there had been a confrontation. Hipolito is delighted and quite hopeful that Romulo is already dëãd by now.
However, the Vulture isn’t happy once he learns of how Venom had failed to get rid of Romulo. Homer promises to make it up to him next time but Hipolito won’t hear any of it as he lashes out at his group, calling them usëlêss and idîõts.
Romulo is transferred to the hospital, heavily guarded by the cops. Soon enough, Andi calls Cardo to inform him of the ambush earlier, adding that they might have a hard time getting to him since the authorities have closed up an entire floor for him.
Alyana has a talk with her not so upstanding mother who urges her to cut ties with Cardo’s family and proceed with her marriage to psyçhö Macro.
Lucas and Catherine discuss the very same matter, with the former making it clear that he doesn’t want his son married to the wife of Ricardo Dalisay. Catherine then asks if he’s really going to put his career and reputation over his son’s happiness.
While Cardo briefs the guys about Romulo’s condition at the hospital, the wounded cops receive treatment and General Borja strives to calm down their worried families.
President Hidalgo pays a visit to Vice president Cabrera and his wife and offers them his support for their son. Meanwhile, Romulo is stabilized at the hospital though he hasn’t regained consciousness yet.
Andi stares at his cuffs as General Borja asks Vargas about Billy. As fate will have it, president Hidalgo learns of the ambush on Romulo and decides to pay a visit to him in an attempt to get him to cooperate with them.
“Why not wait for the PNP to squeeze it out of him first?” William asks.
“I can’t wait any longer. It’s important that I talk to Romulo Dumaguit… this evening.”
Alyana goes to see Marco at the hospital and he thanks her for being with him. On her way out, she runs into Catherine who offers to have her driver take her home. However, her parents soon show to pick her up, and she introduces them to the Cabreras.
Ironic enough, the mothers seem to be pushing for their children’s relationship. The fathers (Teddy and Lucas) aren’t that enthused. Again, Catherine offers to handle the annulment.
While Homer has an outburst of anger over how they had lost Hipolito’s trust again, General Borja urges his men to be more cautious on account of how the shady nurse had been silenced. He then charges them to find the officer who had pulled the trigger, though he notes his suspicion of how the guy might have already been silenced too.
On their way out of the hospital, Teddy tells his daughter that the vice president doesn’t approve of her relationship with Marco, judging by how he had spoken.
Virgie trivializes the matter and when Teddy asks why she hadn’t told the Cabreras about how she’s been having second thoughts about the marriage, Alyana merely says that she would just wait for Marco to be discharged since she’s worried about how he might react. Still, Virgie continues to push for the wedding.
Delfin has a talk with his sister about the attempt on Romulo’s life, and Flora expresses her worry since the commander is the only one who can prove that Cardo is indeed innocent of the ättaçks he’s been accused of.
Delfin mentions that they had tightened up security in preparation for the possibility of Cardo’s group rescuing Romulo. At the tenement, Andi returns to the Vendetta.
“They figured out who ambushed us earlier.”
“Who was it?” Cardo asks.
“Homer Adlawan,” Andi replies. “And his whole group.”
Earthworm begins wondering how the guy had managed to recruit all those men and acquired the weapons. Ramil pushes for them to stop Homer before it’s too late, and General Olegario expresses her hopelessness of the situation, doubtful that they would be able to rescue Romulo. Cardo then asks for Andi’s help again.
General Borja strives to talk Romulo into cooperating with them, bringing up the 19 police officers who had died while protecting him. Still, the commander merely stares back, though he thanks the General for keeping him safe.
Meanwhile, the members of Vendetta are still torn with conflict over how to rescue Romulo, with Diana worried that they might be running out of time.
Cardo offers to ask for help from his police friends and Ramil reminds him that they can’t trust any of them since they’re still law enforcers. At the hospital, Catindig picks at General Borja and insinuates that Cardo might have joined Homer’s group to ambush the convoy that had been transferring Romulo. Delfin rubbishes his accusation.
“Both you and Dumaguit are very lucky. You didn’t get hurt either,” remarks the General.
“What do you mean by that?” Catindig asks.
“You weren’t caught in the crossfire because you weren’t with us.”
“Isn’t that what you wanted?”
“Yes. I was just surprised that you yielded right away when you had been very insistent about transferring Dumaguit in your custody.”
“I don’t have to explain myself to you,” Catindig grumbles.
The members of Vendetta begin pestering our favorite hero for suitable options to rescue Romulo. Enter Miss Becky, Andi and the Flower Power Girls who offer to help them.
Speaking of, Romulo is visited by the president who blabbers nonstop about the havoc he (Romulo) and his group have been wreaking in the country. Oscar taunts the commander with the loved ones he had lost and demands that he stop ‘these senseless k!llliñgs’ and tell him where the rest of his comrades are.
Romulo gives the president a dubious look. “You’re after the wrong people. We are not terrorists. Or murderers. From the beginning, Bloody Sun has always had one goal – and that was to make sure everyone enjoyed equal rights. We hope to abolish the divide between the rich and the poor, and make things right for everyone.”
“How can you say that after everything you have done?” Oscar asks in disbelief.
There’s that look from the commander again. “…Mr. President, I have lost faith in this government. Especially all the people in power.”
Hipolito worries that he could be investigated if Romulo reveals something about his past to the president. Over the phone, he charges Catindig not to fail him the way Homer had done.
Meanwhile, president Hidalgo resolves to pay a visit to the injured officers after getting absolutely nothing out of Romulo. Billy and his team encounter the president who thanks them for their courage.
Congressman Brandon is briefed about how their client, Homer Adlawan, had supposedly tried to rescue their leader while he was being transferred to another hospital.
Speaking of, Bubbles urges her lövêr boy to turn his back on his çriminal life since he’s a wanted man. However, the Scorpion gets upset and vows not to stop until Romulo and Cardo are dëãd.
News of the president’s visit to Romulo and the wounded cops makes the headlines. The financial help he had given to the victims is noted and vice president Cabrera begins grumbling about how Oscar seems to have won over the public again, worried that it would be the beginning of his downfall and ambitions if the president’s trust ratings go up again.
At an undisclosed location, an unidentified young lady watches the news featuring the president’s latest movement. She calls him (the president) “dad”, saying that she’s so proud of him. While General Borja has another one-sided confrontation with Romulo, Cardo’s Vendetta and their allies pull up in a van near the hospital.
Our favorite hero thanks Miss Becky and the Flower Power Girls who are dressed as nurses and doctors, with Peng and a few others going as security guards. General Olegario then urges them to be careful and find out how they can safely enter the hospital.
“You can count on us, General,” Andi declares. “I know where Romulo’s room is.”
The other girls then assure the group that they would map out the hospital’s layout, as well as its entries and exits. Again, Cardo thanks them and pleads with them to be careful. Andi assures him that they would do their best.
Cue in the iconic Vendetta theme song as the allies of the vigilantes step out and head for the heavily guarded hospital with deliberate confidence and purpose. Fortunately, the girls manage to slip into the hospital without attracting any suspicion.
