“You came along. And I’m still here thanks to you. You kept me from ending my life. That’s enough for me. Thank you for being there for me.”
The episode begins with Kyle asking if both girls know each other, adding that Rica is a resident architect of Balai Akitektura. Raven expresses her disgüst over Kyle hiring her as the other workers observe the scene.
To spite Rica, Raven announces that the resident architect had accused her cousin of râpë after her $ëx video had gone viral on the internet. She then proceeds to call her a ‘disgusting liar’.
Rica gets in Raven’s face, declaring that she’s not a liar because her cousin had actually râpëd her. She then glances at her coworkers and breaks down in tears as she pictures their judgmental looks, which is nothing but a figment of her imagination.
Rica runs out and after Kyle fails to catch up to her, he returns to confront Raven, telling her that she does not have the right to disrespect his office and say such things to his employees.
“But she should have told you that before…”
“That’s not your decision to make!!!” Kyle yells in an outburst of anger. “Please leave.”
Raven stares back at Kyle blankly and in disbelief.
“Leave!!!”
Silently, Raven glances at the workers of Balai Akitektura and resolves to stare at Kyle for a moment before disappearing in shame. Meanwhile, Rica arrives home and woefully informs her mother about how Raven had exposed her secret to everyone.
Raven is quite upset over the humiliation she had suffered a while ago. She blames Rica for ‘ruining’ everything and is eventually left staring at that alcoholic bottle in display. The drink seems to be calling out to her. At the Constantine, Kyle desperately tries to reach out to Rica on phone after failing to find her.
Rica suffers a panic ättaçk back home and passes out in her mother’s arms, just as Raven gives into the temptation of consuming the ãlcohölic drink. At the hospital, Rica is stabilized and the doctor suggests that she undergo therapy to help deal with her apparent fear, anxiety and emotional trauma.
Though she recalls her numerous hallucinations, Rica insists that she can handle it. Still, the doctor recommends some free clinics with good counsellors. Later, Karla and Dan are arguing over whether to go and confront the Ramoneses when Rica unknowingly bumps into Ella, Archie’s girlfriend.
“Do you think Raven was telling the truth?” Chino asks Mrs. Gracia at Balai Akitektura.
Miss May butts in. “The one who’s telling the truth is Rica,” she declares.
“We do not know what happened,” Mrs. Gracia says. “So let’s not be too hasty with our judgments.”
Chet, the janitor then professes that councilor Jigs isn’t as innocent as people think. After Rose confirms miss Chet knows about Rica’s scandal, Chino asks Rose why she hadn’t told them about the incident and the janitor scolds him for the inappropriate question.
Rose then spells out why Rica had backed out of her job interviews several times – because she had been judged and harassed many times.
Rose declares that Rica is the one telling the truth. She reveals that she had been there, and had been one of the reasons she (Rica) had ended up in that horrible situation. Meanwhile, Kyle finally encounters Rica at the Constantine, just as Jigs finds Raven all drunk and wasted.
Anyway, Kyle assures Rica that the incident earlier at the office doesn’t matter. Rica reveals that she had been planning to tell him about it.
“Is this why you asked for a time off?”
Rica nods, and Kyle beats himself up for not being more sensitive given how they had initially met. He apologizes and Rica tells him he has nothing to apologize for. She then recounts her ordeal.
“…I had to end it all. But then, you came along. And I’m still here thanks to you. You kept me from ending my life. That’s enough for me. Thank you for being there for me.”
Karla heads to the city hall to confront Troy and make him have his wife and daughter stay away from her family. Over the phone, Dan talks her out of it and Karla decides to wait for him at the lounge while he comes to pick her up.
Meanwhile, Kyle drops off Rica at home and she’s surprised to see that he really has one of those key chains. Rica thanks him for everything and Kyle tells her that he would take care of the presentation.
While the Sicat kids wonder about the whereabouts of their mother, Audrey spots Karla at the lounge and doesn’t pass up the opportunity to pick a fight with her. A war of words ensues over the recent incidents involving their families, and Audrey states that her daughter (Raven) is entitled to humiliate her daughter (Rica) because she’s the product of the affair.
“You and your daughter deserve all the humiliation in the world,” Audrey taunts.
“I do, but Rica doesn’t deserve that,” Karla argues. “She’s innocent in all this.”
“She’s not! She got too ambitious just like her mother!”
Audrey claims that Karla is using the situation to get closer to her husband, and Karla throws one back at her, saying that unlike ‘her sorry self’, she has a husband whom she loves with all her heart. Karla then taunts Audrey with how her husband (Dan) loves her with all his heart. Upset, Audrey initiates the inevitable catfight.
Kyle returns to the office and announces that Balai Akitektura doesn’t condone bullying and victim-blaming in any form. He says what had happened to Rica earlier was unacceptable, adding that no one has the right to judge her without hearing her side of the story.
Ultimately, he states that anyone who still has something bad to say about Rica should feel free to leave. The fight at the city hall’s entrance is broken up. A bodyguard restrains Audrey while an officer holds Karla back. Audrey presses for ‘that woman’ to be arrested.
Mayor Troy is notified of the altercation, just as Dan arrives outside to learn of his wife’s fate. At Balai Akitektura, Axel, in the presence of Kyle, beats himself up for not treating Rica better.
Dan arrives at the precinct to find his wife behind bars. Being the king of bad timing, Troy shows up and gets in Dan’s face. After a brief faceoff, Dan goes after the mayor, thinking that he’s responsible for his wife being locked up. It takes about three men to restrain Mr. Sicat. A moment later, he’s ushered into an adjoining cell.
“Why are you locking him up?” Karla laments.
Dan glares at Troy with such comical anger.
“Why are you putting Dan in jail too? Maybe you should lock my kids up too so at least we can all be together.”
Troy says Dan would be released after he learns to keep his temper in check. However, Dan won’t be calm as he still thinks he was the one who had had his wife arrested. Enter Audrey to take responsibility of the deed. Even much to Troy’s disbelief, she states that Karla would be staying in jail because she would be suing her for assault.
Karla taunts Audrey, pointing out that she was the one who had started the fight. As Audrey tries to confront her, Troy holds her back, telling her that she shouldn’t make matters worse because he doesn’t need another scandal in the family.
Nevertheless, Audrey argues that he’s actually and probably concerned about Karla because he can’t stand to see her in prison. Troy demands that Audrey doesn’t press charges. Audrey says he can’t stop her and when he presses some more, she laments over how he never takes her side before storming off.
At the Ramoneses, Audrey rants about how Karla had supposedly ättaçked her at the city hall. Revealing that she had had her arrested, she laments over how Troy is insisting that she doesn’t press charges. Much to her surprise, Alberto states that her husband is right.
“What?” Audrey says in disbelief. “Dad, that woman had the gull to ättaçk me. I can’t just let her get away with it.”
“Oh, yes, you will,” Alberto affirms with clenched teeth. “Tomorrow is the first day of Jigs’ hearing. We cannot get into any bad publicity right now. What we need right now is the sympathy of the people.”
Alberto says they need to ‘remind’ everyone that their family, including Jigs, are the victims in ‘these incidents’. Audrey still hasn’t recovered from her shock. Meanwhile, Karla scolds her husband for joining ‘the prison party’ and getting himself arrested too. Dan merely says that marriage means being there for each other, even all the way to jail.
Back at the Ramones mansion, Audrey storms out and recalling the incident at the police station earlier, she breaks down in tears. A hand rests on her shoulder – Bobby’s. The episode concludes as Bobby consoles her.
