The tråitoröus Major Catindig discusses with Director Hipolito the complaints of General Borja over how he’s been denied access to Romulo. Catindig worries that the CIDG could come up with a way to have the case reassigned to them. The Vulture couldn’t care any less.
Captain Gina pesters Grandma Flora’s family, accusing them of conniving with Cardo. Yolly and Paco expose her ïllēgâl activities but Gina begs to differ. Flora butts in and taunts her with a gesture of obeisance, mockingly bowing to her and urging her to let them have some peace and quiet for a change. Gina returns the favor and walks off.
Teddy gives a talk about the inevitable terrible reception that would be awaiting his daughter at the palace because of her connection to Cardo. While Catherine tries on her specially designed gown, Marco picks up Alyana, just as Diana has a talk with Cardo, vowing to find a way to rescue Romulo.
Hipolito has a talk over the phone with Homer who’s eager for him to finish off the commander already. However, Hipolito reveals that he would use Romulo as bait to lure out Cardo and his comrades since he’s certain that they would try to rescue him from his clutches.
“Even though Dumaguit is heavily guarded?”
“You know how Dalisay’s mind works.”
“We’ll do whatever it takes to rescue the commander from them,” Cardo assures Diana. “And this time around, they won’t know what hit them.”
Homer offers to secure the hospital premises and shôöt Cardo on sight once he shows. Stating that it’s too risky, Hipolito orders him to find a way to track down the Vendetta group instead.
“We’ll make Renato pay for all he’s done,” declares our favorite hero back at the hideout. “He and Homer are going down.”
Grandma Flora asks his brother for updates about Romulo and he informs her of how Hipolito has been interfering. Flora holds on to the hope that in the end, the truth would finally come out so those actually responsible for the injustices would be punished by the law.
Homer watches with his lackeys a promo of Hipolito campaigning on TV for the Senate. The Scorpion looks forward to the Vulture winning the elections and then the presidency so they could have a blast. Meanwhile, Alyana is brought by psyçhö Marco to the palace to meet a quite cold reception on account of her connection to Cardo.
The vice president Lucas Cabrera and his wife Catherine walk into the guest-filled palace. After small talk is out of the way, president Oscar Hidalgo and his First Lady Marissa are introduced and they make their appearance. 2nd Lady Catherine isn’t happy to see that her rival is wearing the exact same gown she’s wearing. Same color. Same design.
Lucas is called upon for the opening remarks and he concludes by introducing the president. Oscar takes the stage and unravels a foreign ambassador who would be helping his government in the fight against terrorism.
He expresses his appreciation to the international community and makes a toast to the ambassador. Later, Lucas discusses with Oscar the recent têrrörist attācks in the country.
“A senator was k!llêd. He was very popular and well lövêd. Now even more people are fearing for their very lives, and their families’ as well. But it’s a good thing they caught Romulo Dumaguit.”
“There’s all those drüg activities De Silva was involved in,” president Oscar points out. “So… senator De Silva deserved it? It was right he was k!llêd by the group led by Ricardo Dalisay?”
“I know there are many people out there who think these vigilantes are heroes in their own right. But the law still has to prevail. How many more government officials… just like senator De Silva?”
“I agree,” Lucas says. “We need to eliminate all the corrupt elements in our government.” Catherine plasters a smile on her face to greet Marissa as photos are taken. Eventually, Marco introduces Alyana to Oscar and his wife. The president soon realizes her connection to our favorite hero and Lucas butts in to put in good words for that thing Cardo calls a wife.
Meanwhile, Romulo finally wakes up, only to have several guns thrust into his face as he tries to get out of bed. Hipolito notifies Catindig about Romulo’s state and orders him to get his men ready for the inevitable – Cardo’s group to attempt to rescue the commander.
After charging him to make sure he k!lls our favorite hero this time around, he proceeds to confront and taunt Romulo, demanding that he tell him the hideout of Cardo. Romulo just stares back at him blankly as if he’s lost his mind.
Grandma Flora and her family watch Hipolito’s campaign promo. Paco and Yolly express their disgust over the Vulture’s çrìminäl ways as they worry about the future of the country and their children if he has to win the election.
The family then worries about how Romulo could be used to get to Cardo. Elmo speculates that Hipolito might go after our favorite hero, and Paco also guesses that the corrupt official could get rid of Romulo.
“We can’t let anything distract us from our mission,” Diana admonishes Cardo after finding him brooding yet again. “What we should do is keep fighting in the name of our comrades who have given their lives. For the cause we believe in.”
Cardo sadly glances at the newspaper headline featuring that thing he calls a wife and her ïllēgâl boyfriend, the one and only psyçhö Marco. While president Hidalgo has a meeting with some officials, his daughter intrudes and proudly flaunts the stars she had won in school for being the best in declaration, which her mom had taught her.
She narrates the entire thing and everyone commends her performance before her mother takes her away. Oscar proceeds to have his meeting with the officials, and he urges them to give their best so they can combat and minimize conflict and violence in their country for the safety of their children.
At the housing unit, Andi sets off to work with her brother after a talk with their mother. Meanwhile, Hipolito charges Catindig to have his men carefully keep their eyes out for Cardo since he believes that they would try to rescue Romulo.
General Olegario joins the guys at the table and discourages them on their plan to rescue the commander. Stating that the hospital would definitely be heavily guarded since he’s a high-profile person, Diana suggests that they recon the area first.
At San Rafael Hospital, Peng who works as a janitor informs his sister, nurse Andi about the third floor being off limits. “This might be the only chance we’re ever going to get, General,” Ramil remarks back at the hideout.
“I understand you,” Diana says. “But I’m not going to allow anything bad to happen to any one of you.” “I agree with the General,” Cardo declares. “We should study the hospital’s layout first. And then we can make our move. And everyone who’s injured is gonna stay behind.”
General Borja is stopped by some military personnel from seeing Romulo. Enter Hipolito, who comes to rub it in his face the fact that he isn’t authorized to enter the area since it’s not under his jurisdiction. Delfin shöōts back at him and reminds him subtly that he could have him arrested for the unauthorized attāck on the rebel hideout.

“I don’t need an explanation from you. You had absolutely no right to do what you did. Let me remind you – you’re a civilian now.” “You’re stubborn grandson is the one under investigation for the çrimes he’s committed, Hipolito taunts. “This is a clear total conflict of interest, because of your clear motive to cover up for your dear grandson.”
General Borja gets in the Vulture’s face. “I’m not covering up for anyone, Mr. Hipolito. But you, you can’t possibly cover up all your lies forever. The truth will come out.” Hipolito makes a dubious face. “What are you talking about, General?” Having had the last say, Delfin merely smiles triumphantly as Billy and his team look on.
