“The Commander is alive. Romulo survived. I can’t believe what I just heard. The commander is alive. I think the commander has got nine lives.”
At San Rafael Hospital, an unconscious Romulo is transferred into a room where General Borja charges his men to keep a close watch on him and make sure nothing happens to him. Hipolito overhears as he was about to come in through the door.
George is scolded by miss Becky for joining the rebels and bringing them into their neighborhood. Though George assures her that his comrades mean no harm, the woman cautions him to make sure they don’t implicate them.
While the members of Vendetta have a good night sleep, Cardo finds nothing better to do than to sadly reflect on how that thing he calls a wife broke up with him and chased him off. At the Arevalos, Teddy and Virgie exchange words over our favorite hero, with the latter looking forward to a much speedier process to have the marriage annulled.
Marco arrives home all worked up. He informs his mother about how Cardo had supposedly confronted him. He mumbles some more nõnsënse and vows to k!ll him if he ever does that again. Catherine tries to calm him down but it seems the guy is on the brink of a mental breakdown.
“Maybe you should give Alyana some space,” miss 2nd lady urges. “Give her time to have that marriage to that çrìminäl annulled. But… there are so many girls out there whose lives are less complicated.”
Marco turns to stare at his mother with a sickening expression. “Are you asking me to break up with her?””Son, maybe it’s better for you to cool off for a little while.”
“No!” Marco cries out, literally breaking glasses on the table. “No! It’s Alyana I want!! It’s her I love!” There’s the madness in play. “No one could ever replace her! I love her!”
Catherine strives to calm down her psyçhö son, shushing him like the overgrown baby he seems to be. The commotion brings mr. vice president Lucas to witness the spectacle. Later, Lucas has a talk with his wife, pushing for them to end their son’s relationship with Alyana. However, Catherine states that dear son might try to hurt himself again if they try to restrain him. What a psyçhö.
Following the news report featuring Hipolito’s bragging of having taken down the rebel leader, Teddy goes on and on about the numerous dangers his daughter had faced because of Cardo. Thus, he comes to agree with his wife on the matter of their daughter living a new, peaceful life with someone else. Little do they know that that someone is nothing but an overgrown psyçhö.
General Borja has an exchange of words with director Hipolito who tells him that the NDA would be taking over Romulo’s case. As if on cue, the acting director of the NDA who’s an obvious puppet of Hipolito shows up to announce that he had given the order. Hipolito then takes the chance to gloat and taunt the General. A moment later, a frustrated Delfin regroups with his men.
“If they don’t allow us to investigate,” Chikoy says. “What will happen to Dalisay?”
“We will never give in,” declares the General. “No matter what happens, we’ll continue with our investigations.”
Hipolito orders his puppeteer/acting director not to allow anyone near Romulo and to make sure only he gets to know as soon as he wakes up. As the Vendetta finds a new place they can set base, Hipolito has a talk over the phone with Catindig, hoping that Romulo doesn’t wake up to ruin his plans. However, he charges Catindig not to let anyone see him if he does wake up.
General Borja and his men deliberate on the incident at the raided rebel hideout. They hope to talk to Romulo since he’s the only one who really knows what had happened that night. Upon learning that Hipolito has been blocking the release of any information about Romulo, Delfin pushes for them to take custody of him since the info he can give them is valuable.
“Catindig was assigned by NDA to oversee the case,” Chikoy mentions. Delfin chuckles. “They’re cooking up something.”
George has missed Becky show the members of Vendetta their new base of operations, and in no time, Cardo riles up his buddies to avenge their fallen comrades. A moment later, Cardo is tidying up the place when the daughter of miss Becky, a nurse known as Andi (Andrea) wanders in. They exchange greetings and shake hands before George intrudes.
General Olegario glances around at her wounded comrades and reflects on how Cardo and the others had taken care of her after our favorite hero had saved her from Catindig. She flashes back on how she had joined the group, and reflects on a number of missions they had undertaken – one where Romulo had saved her – and then the encounter that had led to the “dëath” of the commander.
“I hope you’ll forgive me, Romulo. I know I was greatly responsible for what happened to our group. If I could only turn back time, I will be willing to take the bullet for you. The same way that you did for me.”
George brings Andi to the wounded rebels to be treated. She proceeds to check on them and they express their appreciation. At Barangay 628, Wally catches Nick and Gido flaunting the bribe they had received from captain Gina for turning against them. He cautions them to stop spreading lies about Grandma Flora. The guys don’t listen though, and Wally is provoked into manhandling them both. Elmo then hurries to calm him down.
Grandma Flora expresses her appreciation of Wally’s loyalty, though she urges him to ignore the guys no matter what they say. Meanwhile, Andi informs her mother and brother Peng about her encounter with our favorite hero. Miss Becky urges her children to stay away from the rebel group. Andi points out that her only intention was to check on the wounds of those wounded. Becky then asks her to stay out of their way once she’s done with that.
The other members of Vendetta return to the new hideout to find it all clean and spotless thanks to our favorite hero. They begin discussing the beautiful and se×y nurse and George claims that she’s his ex. The guys don’t believe him though. After a little more of chitchat, they band together to set up the place. During a meeting at the NDA, James questions director Hipolito’s source of Intel which had led him to the rebel hideout.
“I’ve been itching to get rid of you,” Catindig thinks to himself, giving James the stink eye. “I just can’t do it because you’re my only link to Olegario. One of these days, I’m sure she’ll communicate with you again.”
Wally says his goodbyes to Grandma Flora and her family as he’s set to leave the country to join her sister in the states. At the housing unit near the railway, miss Becky cautions her other tenants about the presence of the Vendetta group. The girls get all excited over the prospect of seeing Cardo. They question Andi about him, excited to know that he’s as handsome as he looks on TV.
Homer deploys his men to guard the safe house in anticipation of Cardo’s inevitable retaliation. Bubbles spies from up the stairs, wondering about who her lövêr is really fighting. Speaking of, our favorite hero proposes to his comrades that they plan their actions carefully so they don’t lose anyone else.
Hipolito is hailed by the ignorant media as he commences his press conference. The blabbermouth begins by boasting of his successful attāck on the rebels, just as George provides the guys with a TV at their new hideout. Cardo and his comrades watch the live broadcast as Hipolito reveals that Romulo had survived. He goes on to promise to bring down the entire rebel group.
“The Commander is alive,” Cardo states, glad and smiling with the others. “Romulo survived,” Diana adds in disbelief. Earthworm is next to go. “I can’t believe what I just heard. The Commander is alive.”
“I think the commander has got nine lives,” Tadpole concludes.
A news reporter reveals that Romulo is currently out of danger, though under the custody of Hipolito. Cardo tells his comrades that they can’t have peace of mind since the commander would be put under duress. Anton and Diana second him, and Cardo urges that they move fast to rescue Romulo before Hipolito gets any information out of him.
Billy informs General Borja that according to the NDA, Romulo is still unconscious. Vargas argues that they might be lying, and Delfin states that they’re not going to allow Hipolito to twist the law. They discuss the attāck on the rebel hideout and Vargas speculates that Hipolito’s own people could have done that.
General Borja questions Catindig about the very same matter over the phone. As if he would get anything out of him. Catindig evades Delfin’s questions and rambles some nõnsënse. At the hospital, the doctor assures Hipolito that Romulo is stable, adding that they’re only waiting for him to regain consciousness. After she leaves, Hipolito stares with revulsion.
“I have peppered you with büllêts, but you’re still alive. But that’s alright, because I still have some use for you.” The members of Vendetta deliberate over how they would rescue the commander. Diana successfully predicts the hospital he’s likely admitted at, and Cardo announces that the wounded among them would stay behind while he, Diana, Anton and the few others go.
