“We’re ready to deal with them now. They’ll be on the headlines tomorrow. I assure you Dalisay and Dumaguit won’t survive our next encounter. We’ll k!ll every single one of them.”
General Borja deliberates with his men the vigilante activities of Cardo’s group, dreading that they would go after director Hipolito and Major Catindig next. Stating that it would be dangerous for them all the same, Billy asks if there’s any way they can contact them. Delfin then mentions General Olegario.
Teddy and Virgie entertain psyçhö Marco who’s come to the house to ask for the Arevalo couple’s blessings for his relationship with their literally annoying daughter. After a boring talk with Alyana, Marco makes known to his aunt Menchu his intention of bringing his ïllēgâl girlfriend home to introduce her to his parents.
“Technically, she’s still married,” Menchu grumbles.
“I’m working on it,” Marco says. “I’m helping Alyana to process her annulment.”
The officials of the NMIG watch a news report of the latest escapade of Cardo’s vigilante group and their connection to General Olegario. At the Vendetta hideout, Diana sees the news and Romulo pushes for them to take action before the situation escalates.
Catindig talks over the phone with Hipolito about Diana headlining the news. The Vulture is confident that no one would believe her even if she shows up to expose them. He then urges his partner in çrime to continue keeping an eye on James since he could be the one to lead them to the General.
Diana calls James on phone and asks that they meet up so he could offer her some needed assistance. She charges him to be discreet but as it stands, James is as careless as a blind man, having failed to notice that he’s being spied on by Catindig.
Throwing caution to the wind, Diana steals away from the group just as Ramil, who’s talking with Romulo inside, worries about what she would do with her reputation getting tarnished because of them. Ramil worries that her trust in the government could get her in trouble.
“Let’s just believe in her,” Romulo says. “And I trust that she knows what she’s doing.”
Marco ushers Alyana into his car for the meet up with his parents, and Cardo can’t help but to watch dejectedly and helplessly as his ungrateful wife drives off with her psyçhö lover. Meanwhile, Second Lady Catherine Cabrera excitedly speculates the identity of her son’s suitor as Menchu looks on silently.
Alyana is introduced to Marco’s brother Brandon who seems as much of a delinquent as he is. Sitting in his jeep, Cardo spies sadly from the main entrance. Meanwhile, General Olegario calls Borja on phone and asks that they meet up because she needs his help. Back at the Cabreras, Alyana meets Marco’s parents, Catherine and Lucas who seem to take a liking to her.
Catherine asks Alyana of her family name and her husband is dumbfounded to learn that she’s the infamous Ricardo Dalisay’s wife. Later that night, Delfin rendezvouses with Diana and James. When he questions her, Diana reveals how Cardo had saved her from an ässãssínatiön attempt by Catindig and his men.
“Now that my life is in danger, I need to hide with Vendetta for the meantime.”
“Vendetta,” Delfin repeats, somewhat confused.
“That’s the name of our group,” Diana clarifies. “Cardo and Romulo told me everything about Director Renato Hipolito. He used to be a member of Bloody Sun. Turns out he’s the puppet master pulling the strings.”
Delfin reveals that he’s known for a long time but couldn’t tell her then because of her connection to Hipolito. Unbeknownst to the trio, Catindig observes and calls Hipolito to update him on the situation. On the orders of the Vulture, Catindig lies in wait to tail Diana. Speaking of, Delfin refuses to lend any helping hand to Diana and her group until they cease their acts of vigilantism.
During dinner, the Cabrera couple interrogate Alyana about her marriage to Cardo, and Brandon adds to the trouble as he reveals that Cardo’s group were the ones who had k!lled Senator De Silva. Marco then butts in and asks that they change the topic, saying that Cardo is merely part of Alyana’s past. After dinner, Catherine assures Alyana their full support as long as they both love each other.
“Marco, don’t forget our dinner at the palace,” Catherine mentions.
“Yes, mom. And I would like to bring Alyana too.”
Catherine exchanges a look with her husband. Mr. vice president doesn’t look happy. Still, his wife fakes a smile and consents to their son’s request. In no time, Marco hits the street with Alyana as Cardo shadows them. Back home, vice president Lucas makes it clear that he doesn’t like Marco’s new girlfriend because the bad publicity she would bring could undermine his presidential campaign in the upcoming elections.
Marco brings Alyana to a restaurant so they could have a few drinks together. A phone call comes in from his mother and he excuses himself to talk to her. As Alyana stares at her wedding ring, reflecting on some moments with Cardo, our favorite hero suddenly shows up and pleads for them to talk. Alyana starts talking trash.
Admitting that he’s made a lot of mistakes and failed her in the process, Cardo sobs and pleads for a chance to make it up to her and correct all his shortcomings, even as he reminds her that they’re still married. Alyana shöōts back, asking if he would be able to abandon his mission for her. When Cardo remains silent, she dumps her wedding ring into his palm. Enter psyçhö Marco who comes to add to the trouble.
Disregarding the ranting of her illegitimate lövêr, Cardo actually goes on his knees and pleads for a chance to work things out. However, Alyana pushes him away and insists that he disappear. Broken hearted, Cardo cries his heart out as he turns to leave. At Vendetta hideout, as Ramil wonders about Diana’s whereabouts, Jimboy asks for Romulo’s permission to visit his wife and kids.
“Okay. Just be careful.”
“Thank you, commander,” Jimboy says excitedly.
“Manager, I’ll be going.”
“Take care out there, Jimboy.”
“Will do.”
Jimboy leaves after bidding goodbye to the other members of the group.
“What a lucky man,” Earthworm notes. “He still has a family to come home to. In our case, we lost ours.”
General Olegario carelessly makes her way to the hideout of the Vendetta, unaware that traitorous Catindig has been following her all this time. After she enters the abandoned train scrapyard, Catindig notifies Hipolito who charges him to make sure no one escapes. Once Diana shows up inside, Romulo questions her of her whereabouts. Diana remains silent.
“Did something bad happen?” Ramil asks.
“You were all right, and I was wrong,” Olegario merely says. “I won’t lie to you guys anymore. I met up with General Borja, and I tried to ask for his help.” Romulo’s head jerks up in absolute disbelief. “What? You shouldn’t have done that. You’re risking your life and the whole group as well.”
“Believe me, I would never bring harm to the group. But I was wrong for thinking that we needed their help to achieve our goals.”
“So now tell me. Did you get the help you needed? General, when will you realize that not everyone who does good and just deeds will choose to side with us?” And with that, Romulo gets up and storms away.
“So, General,” Ramil begins. “Is everything clear to you now? We can’t trust anyone except the people within this group.”
“At an abandoned old train scrapyard area,” Hipolito discloses over the phone. “That’s where they’re hiding, Homer.”
“Got it, sir. We’re ready to deal with them now.”
“I am counting on you to deliver what you promised me long ago.”
“They’ll be on the headlines tomorrow,” Homer declares. “I assure you Dalisay and Dumaguit won’t survive our next encounter. We’ll k!ll every single one of them.”
