Nico playfully accuses attorney Dizon of being an enemy and a spy and Bea comes over to call off his antics before escorting the lawyer inside. She then heads for school with her brother. Meanwhile, shāmelëss half-sister Raven is at it again as she nags her father about his refusal to support Jigs.
Raven tells Troy that he has to believe his nephew whom he’s known all his life over the daughter he’s never known, blah blah blah. Back at the Sicats, attorney Dizon assures Karla of her complete loyalty. She promises to keep her secret safe, but then urges her to tell her family about it.
“Or at the very least, your husband. So that whatever happens, he knows what to expect.”
Rica makes her surprise return to her workplace, WVA Designs in the company of Allie her bosom friend. She’s met with the staring and questioning eyes of her coworkers. Donna, a particular loudmouth criticizes her accusation against councilor Jigs and Allie shuts her up.
As Rica goes to see sir Greg their boss, Donna the troublesome coworker resumes with her nõnsënse, accusing Rica of trying to dëstroy an “innocent” man’s life. Rica asks if she knows the whole story, and Donna replies in the negative. Again, Rica asks if she knows Jigs personally and the troublesome coworker replies in the negative again.
“So you’d rather believe a stranger than believe someone you’ve known and worked with for two years?” Rica asks. “He said the two of you were dating.” “That’s not true. And even if it was, what he did to me while I was unconscious is still wrong. Even when it’s a girlfriend or a wife, räpê is räpê.”
“But Jigs didn’t really räpê you, right?”
Rica turns around to see who had just spoken. You can never guess right. It’s shāmelëss half-sister Raven, who comes to confront Rica for trying to ruin the life of her dear saint of a cousin.
Raven asks if Rica is in it for the fame and the money and Rica shöōts back at her, asking what kind of woman would do such a thing to herself. Raven then accuses her of trying to get back at her father, saying that she wants to ruin her family because she’s mad at them.
“I pity you for being blind to the truth,” Rica states.
“You are the pitiful one, Rica. Because you’re not the one that dad chose. He didn’t even give you his last name.”
“He did give it,” Rica taunts. “I chose not to use it. He still wants to be part of my life, but I don’t intend to be a Ramones.”
That shuts up shāmelëss half-sister as sir Greg comes upon the scene. And with that, Rica storms out. At home, Karla reflects on attorney Dizon’s counsel and flashes back to the physical âbüse she had suffered at the hands of some random goon.
At the Sidero City Hall, Dan confronts Troy. He admits that they had accepted the attorney and warns him not to get involved with his family again. Troy says he’ll only stay away once he knows that he can take care of his daughter. He taunts him with his hardships and Dan angrily grabs him. As if on cue, the mayor’s security shove Dan away.
“I am just trying to help my daughter,” Troy says. “And if you really care about her, you will let me do this. Let me do everything I can. For my daughter.” “You’re poïsõn,” Dan seethes. “You ruined Kakay’s life. I won’t let you ruin Rica’s life too.”
“What did you say? I ruined Kakay’s life? Get this through that thick skull of yours – I was the one who saved her. If it wasn’t for me, Kakay will still be… sëllíng her own body on the street right now!”
Karla paces around in agitation as she relives her past at home again. Back at the City Hall, a dumbfounded Dan mounts his motorbike and drives away. Meanwhile, Rica discusses with Allie her very first encounter with her half-sister.
Drawing from her friend’s encouragement, Rica decides to fight for everything possible. Meanwhile, Dan confronts Karla and demands to know if Troy had really been telling the truth when he had said that she used to be an escort/$ëx worker. Karla gets all emotional and admits to it.
Flashback: Karla is physically ãbūsed by a client on account of her reluctance to let him have his way with her. Enter Troy who beats up said client to save Karla. Presently, Karla explains her story but is upset that she had kept him in the dark, Dan storms out.
Raven finds no one better to confide in but her equally shāmelëss mother Audrey. She says she feels awful for how she had confronted and lashed out at Rica before, and Audrey justifies her actions. Troy arrives home and heads straight to bed, saying that he’s tired. “I thought you’d never come back to me,” Karla sobs, sitting with Dan outside the house. “I thought you would leave me for good.”
Dan eases up on his sulking and assures her that he would never leave her alone no matter what happens. Karla apologizes for failing to tell him, saying that she felt really ashâmed and was afraid that he would give up on her because she was a místrêss with an illegitimate child.
Stating that he’s not upset because of her past, and that he’s willing to accept everything about her, Dan says he was only upset because she had decided not to tell him, probably because she didn’t trust him. Karla assures him that he trusts him wholeheartedly. She then asks to make it up to him and Dan has her promise to never keep secrets from him again.
“Everything is so messed up.”
“As long as we’re together, we can get through this,” Dan declares.
“Even if I’m far away?
“You’ve never been far away from me, lôvë. You wanna know why?”
“Why’s that?” Karla asks.
Dan points to a tattoo on his hand and reveals another tattoo of Karla on his chest, saying that he feels her presence with every beat of his heart. Karla is at a loss for words Following the reunion of the Sicat couple, Karla resumes with her online selling and Dan supports her by delivering the clothes to customers the next day.
Rica is sent off by her family for her exams after encouraging her with some reassuring words. She passes by attorney Dizon’s car on her way out. The lawyer comes to inform the Sicats of the decision the court had made. A moment later, Dan throws a fit upon learning that the case had been junked.
Karla gets all worked up over the court’s refusal to let them file a case against her daughter’s âbüser, coming to the conclusion that they don’t believe her when she said she had been rãpêd. Karla speculates that the Ramoneses had pressured the prosecutor. She then lashes out at attorney Dizon for failing her and her family.
“Maybe Nico was right. You’re just a fräud! You were sent by Troy so we’d lose this case. You never really cared about us.”
The Ramoneses meet up at the congressman’s place to celebrate their victory. Troy merely greets his father and pierces Bobby with a look before leaving. Back at the Sicats, attorney Dizon recounts how she had been ãbūsed by the man she had thought was the lôvë of her life shortly after their marriage.
Attorney Dizon states that she’s familiar with what Rica is going through because she had suffered through her husband’s âbüse and manipulations for a long time. She then assures them that she’s never capable of sabotaging them, adding that in spite of Karla’s complicated past with Troy, he (Troy) really cares about Rica and wants her to get justice.
“I know it may sound unbelievable, but just like you, he will not give up until justice is served.”
At the exams hall, Rica sees something on her phone which causes her to relive her räpê ordeal and the aftermath – the judgement of the public as well as that of her shāmelëss half-sister. She runs out of the room, and reflecting on some moments with her family, Rica sinks to the floor in tears.
