“I wanted to scream so bad. I was so angry, l0ve that I wanted to scream. I saw what that m0nster did to our daughter. Love, I saw them…I saw the bruises on Rica’s body.”
The episode begins with the highly opinionated Audrey welcoming Jigs to her house. She has him join her and her daughter Raven at the table and asks that he stay there with them. Jigs is sensible enough to point out that it wouldn’t be okay with uncle Troy due to the current situation. Raven begins giving him the eye and when Jigs asks what the matter is, she asks if he had actually recorded Rica like her father had said. Audrey isn’t happy with the question, though Jigs fools her into believing that he hadn’t committed the deed.
“You know, Jigs, what we should be focusing on right now is damage control,” Audrey declares. “You did a good job with that speech. If only my husband didn’t butt in and ruin everything. Unbelievable.”
Nico, along with his friend Pogs, confront some men who have been making some nasty comments about her sister. The goons take offense and when Nico calls them out as “disgusting”, the grownup men gang up on the kids as if they’re their coequals. A neighbors comes upon the scene. At the Sicat residence, Karla is determined to report her daughter’s räpe even if she gets upset about it. Enter the neighbor, who comes to report what he had witnessed a moment ago.
Dan hurries to break up the ongoing fîght and lashes out at the men for ganging up on two kids. They claim they had only been having fun when his son attacked them. Nico retorts, saying that they had been disrespecting Rica. Dan ceases Nico and Pogs from engaging the goons any longer and as he’s taking them away, the guys begin running their mouth.
“Stallone’s gone soft. He couldn’t even protect his own kid.”
Dan pauses and fumes as the guys laugh mockingly. He takes his time to turn and with his dëath glare still on, he approaches the unfortunate guy (Ed) who had made the comment in style.
“What did you say?”
Dan grabs the guy, shoves him forward and follows up with a wicked right pünch. The goon drops like a sack of potatoes, and before he can recover, Dan towers over him and dishes out some more bëatings while Nico and Pogs cheer him on. At home, Rica sits by herself in her room, reflecting on her recent conversation with her mother.
Bea arrives home to witness her brother hailing their father for knõcking out Ed with one punch like Sylvester Stallone (Rambo). Dan explodes when Nico presses for him to teach him all his moves so he could be just like Stallone. Rica overhears the commotion from her room.
“What did these fists even do?” Dan laments. “They were supposed to protect your sister, but they didn’t do anything.” Turning to his wife, Dan adds woefully, “Kay, I failed her, Kay. I should have made sure. But I was so careless. I’m sorry. It’s my fault. It’s all my fault.”
As Dan sinks into the chair crying his heart out, Rica comes over and assures him that he isn’t to blame. Karla and the others look on sadly as father and daughter hug. A moment later, Karla goes to the precinct to report how her daughter had been rapëd, and Rica makes a surprising appearance and her mother is glad that she’s on board with her plans.
An officer briefs the Sicats about the process of questioning Rica would be dealt with and assures her that she can take on the Ramoneses especially with her mother by her side. While a goon updates Bobby on what the Sicats are up to, the medical evaluation for Rica begins at the crime lab. Rica has trouble cooperating. Her mother is made to wait outside while she’s examined.
The doctor examines Rica’s gēnitals, and Karla spies and looks on angrily at the sight of the bruises on her daughter’s body. Once the whole process is over, the doctor asks Rica some follow-up questions. Meanwhile, Bobby confronts his son and asks if he was the one who had posted the video. Jigs says he wasn’t the one, though he admits that they have a chat group where they share photos and videos of, you know what.
Bobby checks out the group on his son’s phone and pierces him with an irritating look after reading some foul comments about the video. Jigs says that as their number one rule, all the photos and videos are not allowed to be shared outside the group. He names one Archie as the one who had leaked the video.
“There’s no end to your stüpidity!” Bobby scolds. He then demands that Jigs delete the video and tell all those “stupid friends” of his to delete all the existing copies. “I wanted to scream so bad,” Karla cries out to her husband at home. “I was so angry, love that I wanted to scream. I saw…I saw what that monster did to our daughter. Love, I saw her brūises…I saw them…”
Dan consoles his wife as she weeps.
“…I saw the brūises on Rica’s body…”
Rica beats herself up over how weak she feels in the situation she’s in. Dan begs to differ, saying that anyone in her place would have a hard time. He reminds her that she had found the strength to go to a police station, talk to a lawyer and made a decision to file a complaint. Dan follows up, saying that whoever would question her courage should expect a pünch in the face. Rica breaks into a small smile, even as her father assures her that he and the rest of the family will be right by her side in her fight.
At the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development), Jigs badgers Rica while her parents are preoccupied with their lawyer. Rica struggles to control herself as Jigs presses that they talk. The shāmeless guy asks why she’s filing a case against him when they “love” each other and aren’t enemies. With snippets of her ordeal flashing before her eyes, Rica makes a fist. Suddenly, Bobby calls to his son, drawing the attention of the Sicats.
Disregarding his father, Jigs calls Rica again and tries to touch her, but Rica whirls around and rewards him with a pūnch to his midsection. Karla hurries over and roughs up Jigs and shoves him away, threatening to k!ll him if he doesn’t stay away from her daughter. Dan has a stare down with Bobby, who throws a threat of his own before leaving with his son.
“I told you not to do anything stüpid,” Bobby hisses as he drags Jigs away.
Karla apologizes to their attorney for the confrontation and urges Rica to leave matters to her and their dad to handle if she’s not ready to face Jigs. Stating that the accused and his cohorts are doing everything to turn the situation into their favor, Attorney Laura charges the Sicats to prove to the prosecutor that Rica is the only victim. Rica declares that she can do it, and that concludes tonight’s episode.
