“Gino invites Nathan to the opening of his restaurant which he attends to prove a point to him and Gary as he sees Dani with Gino and becomes jealous”.
At home, Janice tells Kyle to tell her what happened at school with his grandpa but Kyle ignores her and Janice says he will understand when he grows up. At the shop, Dani tells his family that it’s the first time she’s handling a huge task besides she will be more experienced and Regina said maybe Gino wants to give her other kind of experience so that’s what he wants.
Dani tells her to believe in her because their relationship is purely professional and the restaurant means a lot to him since it’s his dreams for a long time so Watashi agrees to Dani that it’s professional. Regina gets mad at them because no one listens to her in the family and leaves the shop as Dani follows her inside. Regina asks Dani if she doesn’t have a point and Dani asks her to allow her to handle the event and she knows she might be thinking that she will end up like her but promises not to as they hug.
In front of the shop, Kyle asks James to help him look for his dad and tells him his dad’s name as James searches for it on the internet. He tells Kyle that there’s plenty names he mentioned and asks if he has his picture but Kyle doesn’t besides he hasn’t seen him before. Later, James goes to Janice asking for the picture of Kyle’s dad because he wanted to help him and also check who’s more handsome. Janice becomes angry at him because she doesn’t want to talk about it and leaves.
Nathan arrives and asks why Janice is upset because he hasn’t seen her like that before, James tells him that he only asks for Kyle’s dad picture to search for him because he feels sorry for the kid so Nathan goes to talk to Janice since he knows exactly how she feels. Nathan tells Janice that the man can’t be part of her life but it’s Kyle’s decision to make him part of his life as Janice understands it.
At home, Gerry asks Janice if she has talked to Kyle already but Janice doesn’t know what to do because Kyle is mad at her. Gerry tells her to keep a distance for now because he is not going to stop asking questions about his dad so Janice said his dad doesn’t want him in his life. Gerry tells her to make a decision and he will support her.
At the office, Dani writes a note “happy Father’s Day” as Gino enters the office asking if she’s done. Dani said it’s done so Gino said he wants them to discuss several matters about the meals to be cooked at the opening so Dani tells him to take the lead because she needs to pass somewhere before they go so Gino offered to accompany her.
Janice’s family, Nathan and his workers hang out to have eat as Kyle becomes happy. Morisette tells Janice that she doesn’t have to worry herself much because both James and Nathan are taking care of Kyle. Dani and Gino arrive at her dad’s restaurant to leave the gift behind for him as the guard sends it to him, he opens and reads the note.
At night, Nathan goes through some forms and sees Dani’s name and thinks of her. Dani tells Gino about her idea concerning the opening of the restaurant and Gino liked it because he has worked at a restaurant before when he was young in the US and it’s means a lot to him. The Next Day, Dani and her friends cook a lot of food for Gino to taste and take pictures of it so Dani asks if she should fill out the invite but Gino said he has plans for that.
Gino visits at Dani’s dad to invite him to the opening. Later, Gary calls Gino to asks him if he’s sure his plans will work and will cause a disaster but Gino said he knows what he’s doing as he arrives at Nathan’s shop to invite him to the opening of his restaurant bragging about how Dani specifically took care of the preparations. James collects the invite and Gino tells him to give it to his boss and leaves.
At the office, Gary asks Gino why he invited Nathan and what will happen if he decides to attend. Gino says it’s going to be fun and Gary tells him that there’s no better way to hurt a man than to show him the woman he l0ves the most in the entire is with someone else.Janice and James tell Nathan not to attend the party because Gino is up to something but Nathan says the invitation will go waste if he doesn’t attend because if Gino wants to play a game then he picked the wrong person.
At home, Gerry asks Janice of what she thinks of Nathan’s decision to attend the opening and Janice said Nathan wants to know what Gary and Gino are up to so she needs to go with him as well as James since it’s dangerous and no one knows what will happen as AJ teases Janice with Nathan.
Dani, Watashi and Regina went shopping for new clothes for the grand opening and Regina said she’s impress with Gino because he just opened a construction company and now a restaurant. Watashi says Nathan is also brilliant because Gino learned everything from him.
AJ tells Janice that she needs to buy a new gown for the program because Dani will also be there but Janice tells her that she’s not competing with Dani. At home, James and Nathan wait for Janice as she arrives and everyone praises her appearance. Nathan holds her hand and they leave.
At the opening, Gino gives his speech to everyone present at the program and tells them their services as Nathan, Janice and James arrive. Watashi and Regina becomes shock of Nathan’s presence, the engineer and the architect asks Nathan if he has been invited or he’s just jealous of Gino because he was once his employee but James shuts them up.
As Gino talks to Dani, he sees Nathan and tells her that their special guest is in and approaches Nathan. He tells Gino that it’s looks like he learnt a lot from him and asks of his dad’s whereabout as he sees a drunk Gary seated besides him. Nathan then praises Dani’s beauty and Gino interrupts saying Dani is not only beautiful but resourceful, talented and without her the event wouldn’t have taken place.
Nathan tells him that he knew that already that’s why he dated her and made her his girlfriend so if there’s someone who knows Dani well then it’s him hurting Gino. Dani excuses them to go see her family. Regina said there’s something she should know and Dani said she knew already but just surprise Nathan was invited. Janice keeps a tight eye on Nathan because nobody knows what he can do and James tells her to relax.
A drunk Gary approaches Gino that Nathan has gotten the gut to show up there and Gino said he only meant to insult him when he gave the invitation and thought he wouldn’t come. Gary tells him that it’s better he came because he has seen how successful he is so they should make him jealous. Gino excuses himself to look for Dani. Nathan and Dani stand apart looking at each other as Raquel tells Dani that some guests just arrive so Dani leaves to the washroom.
As Dani reached the washroom, someone was already there so she entered the men’s own. Nathan enters the males room and sees Dani and she apologizes. Nathan reminds her it once happened at the bar and Dani said she remembers so Nathan blocks Dani from leaving as Gino arrives saying they’re looking for her and she leaves.
Bong asked James if Nathan was angry with him since he had no choice but to accept the job at Platinum since Golden Builders but James tells him that Nathan is a good man so Bong said James should inform him whenever the business expands so that he comes to work for them again. Nathan goes to Dani again to talk.
The people at the event congratulate Gino but hurriedly looks for Dani as Gary tells him to go back to talk to his guest. Outside, Nathan asks Dani how she’s doing and how good she is becoming at dealing with people. Dani said she had a good teacher as someone interrupted to take pictures of them and leaves.
As they continue chatting, Dani tells him that she did everything for him but Nathan left his side during that difficult time and pushed her away like a bad luck in his life because he thinks she’s responsible for the destroying of the MTR project and didn’t even bother to talk to her as she leaves while Janice eavesdrops on them.
Janice calls Nathan and he tells to get James because they’re going home. At the event, Gino approaches Dani asking why she’s crying and Dani asks him why he invited Nathan and what are they planning to do. Gino said he invited him to the event because it’s time for them to patch things up and holds Dani’s hand as Nathan arrives looking at them.
