“Adelina takes the fall for Marissa to defend her from Ellice, Marissa decides to sue Ellice after reading Nestor’s letter while Avel protects Marissa”.
At Ceñidoza, Ellice asks Belen if everything will work out and Belen said she thinks they have strong evidence against Marissa but Ellice said Marissa can be very cunning and she’s very sure Adelina will help and side with her. Belen said no one wins playing dirty so Ellice looks at her face.
At La Sierra, Marissa shakes Avel for being hired as a messenger brings Marissa a summon and her mood changes after reading the summons. At College, Jake serves Hope a drink, Chari said she’s happy that Hope is back again. Later, Hope and Jake dine together with Gabriel at a restaurant. Gabriel advises them to be honest and real to each other and maintain their harmonious relationship.
Lucing calls Marissa that there’s something important she needs to know so Marissa asks what it is but Marissa is informed that the court hearing is about to start so tells Lucing she will speak to her later because she can’t be late for the hearing.
Marissa arrives with Adelina and Avel for the private court hearing while Ellice also arrives with Belen. Ellice and Marissa stare at each other. Elsewhere, Belen meets Adelina in the washroom and introduces herself to her. She becomes sarcastic towards Adelina asking if she is there to support Marissa and it’s good Lucing isn’t there to see how Marissa loses but Adelina tells her she is not the judge of that as Belen leaves.
The court is in session after the arrival of the judge and its a case of the people of the Philippines versus Marissa for violating some laws as Ellice and Belen smile. Marissa is cross examined by Ellice’s lawyer for the shares she bought.
The lawyer asked if she forced any board members to sell their shares to her and Marissa said No but her demeanor changed when one of the board members she forced was ushered in to testify while Ellice and Belen smile.
Later, Marissa becomes furious when the court goes on break but Adelina tells her to relax and have some faith because she’s next to take the witness stand. Later, Ellice’s lawyer asks Adelina to tell them the truth since she was present the day Marissa forced the board member to sell his shares to her as Adelina soliloquies that she won’t let Marissa go down while Belen smiles.
Adelina voices out that Marissa is innocent but she did force the board member to sell the shares shocking everyone. Later, Marissa tells her attorney to do something or else Adelina might go to jail. The attorney said he will do his best but she also needs to manage her expectations since Adelina has admitted to the crime which means the charges will not be easily dropped as the attorney leaves.
Ellice, Belen and their lawyer arrive also as Ellice and Belen stare at Marissa before leaving. Marissa asks Adelina why she took the fall for her and Adelina tells her not to worry because her lawyer is already working on it and reminds her she is not doing it for free and wants her to deliver Ellice’s h£ad to her on a platter.
Avel draws closer to Marissa and tells her it’s too risky to be discussing such matters outside. Marissa asks if he was listening to their conversation and reminds him that she hired him to protect her and nothing else. Avel said said her little conversation might get them into trouble as he leaves and Adelina tells Marissa that she made the right choice with Avel because he is a good catch.
In the washroom, Belen asks Ellice if she’s okay because she’s just curious about Adelina and why she took the fall for the crime instead and Ellice tells her that she’s Adelina a shareholder at Ceñidoza and she has always being Marissa’s loyal supporter. Belen tells her to leave everything to her so she investigates further who Adelina really is.
Marissa and Avel meet up with Blue and Lucing and she introduces Avel to them. Blue is shocked that Marissa hired a bodyguard. After seeing Blue’s wound Marissa asks Lucing what really happened to them so Lucing gives her Nestor’s letter.
Marissa reads the letter and cries saying she has confirmed her suspicions that the Ceñidoza’s indeed took something that’s rightful theirs and they made sacrifices and even gave their loyalty to that family. Lucing still can’t believe why Jorge will do something like that to them.
Marissa concludes that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree so she is sure Ellice and Cesar had something to do with the stolen documents and the attempt on their lives. Lucing tells her they have no evidence to prove that Ellice was responsible for that but they need to gather concrete evidence that proves that the Ceñidozas really took something from them and Marissa said they will fight to take back what’s rightfully theirs as she hugs Lucing.
Adelina is under house arrest. Marissa visits her and tells her that she still doesn’t understand why she took the fall for her and gives her Nestor’s letter asking if it can stand in court. Adelina said she will refer her to a good lawyer because she is under house arrest.
Adelina also reminds her that she is serious about what she said earlier because Marissa is the only one who can avenge her son’s death and get him justice since she doesn’t have much time left because she has stage four of breast cancer and the doctor said she won’t survive this time.
Belen meets up with Cesar at a bar. She tells Cesar that she doesn’t understand why Adelina is always involved in all of Marissa’s affairs. Cesar said he already guess she will support Marissa and he doesn’t want to put her into trouble by elaborating further so he won’t answer that question.
Adelina tells Marissa not to be sad for her because she will be reunited with her son soon and Marissa promised that she will always obey her and after the countless number of times she has saved her life this is the least she could do for her before she dies but if Marissa doesn’t want to then she will be force to k!ll Hope just like what Ellice did to her son.
Hope,Jake and Gabriel stare at a painting on the wall making Hope happy. Jake says even though they have many problems he is happy they all together and Gabriel thanks them as Hope hugs Gabriel.
Belen arrives home to meet Ellice dinning alone and asked about Gabriel and Hope’s whereabouts. Ellice tells her that Gabriel is having dinner with his kids and she couldn’t say No to him. Belen advises her to keep Hope away from Jake and force Gabriel to accept the situation.
Gabriel receives a call from Sonya telling him that an accident just occurred at their site so he should visit the injured victims at the hospital or else they might press charges against them. Gabriel tells Sonya to tell the lawyer to meet him at the hospital. Hope asks him what happened and Gabriel tells her about the accident and he has to leave.
At the Condo, Blue tells Lucing he doesn’t understand why Marissa hired a handsome bodyguard to replace him and Lucing tells him not to worry because she is sure he has a special place in Marissa’s heart so Blue becomes happy asking if Lucing doesn’t mind having him as a son in-law.
Marissa and Tutti visit a bar, she tells Tutti to call the number that Adelina gave them immediately and set up a meeting because they need to file a case against Ellice. Tutti asks if that means they will be back at Ceñidoza but Marissa tells her not only that but she will be the company’s major share holder when that time comes.
A man approaches Marissa asking to buy her a drink and pay her bills but Marissa said she is not interested so the man angrily tells her that no one ever says no to him and she has no idea who he is so won’t let her humilate him. He then tries to atta¢k Marissa but Avel defends her and b£ats the hell out of the man and his body guards as Marissa looks at him impressed.
At the Ceñidoza Mansion, Belen asks Ellice why Hope and Gabriel aren’t home yet and tells Ellice that she only wish they are not with Marissa. Ellice decides to call them but they weren’t answering. Elsewhere, Hope was enjoying a ride with Jake when the car suddenly broke down. Hope checks her phone and notices she had a lot of missed calls from Ellice but she can’t call back because there is no signal so does Jake.
Ellice becomes worried when Gabriel arrives home. She asks him where Hope is and he said he left her with Jake because there was an emergency at the site and he can’t believe they are not there yet. Ellice asked why he will make such a decision to leave Hope with Jake because she doesn’t trust him.
Gabriel tells her she is overreacting because Jake is not a criminal but Hope’s brother and he will take care of Hope as Belen smiles seeind them arguing.
Marissa and Avel arrived at the Condo. She angrily tells Avel that she will deduct all the damages the restaurant charged her earlier from Avel’s salary and Avel said he thought it was collateral damage for saving her life since she hired him to protect her life and that’s what he was doing.
Elsewhere, Jake works on the car and Hope offers to help him push the car. Jake asks if she is sure as they join hands to push tht car. Adelina’s hitman calls to inform her that Ellice’s daughter is there but he is with Marissa’s son and asks what to do next and Adelina gives him some instructions.
